Cute "Disney" style X-Men

Post by the_lone_bamf »

I saw this on io9 today, with the header "What if X-Men were a Disney cartoon" (which seems redundant since... y'know... merger...)

I just LOVED the look of it! Augh! Look at that Nightcrawler! So fun! So perfect! (And, dare I say it- I actually *like* a costume besides the classic one?)

Slightly cropped/zoomed version: http://americanninjax.deviantart.com/ga ... 0#/d4y8vgh

A lot of people on the original post pointed out this looks a lot more like Don Bluth's style than any particlar era of Disney. They have a point. That doesn't stop it from being AWESOME. :)

I agree, it looks fantastic, and yes, very Don Bluth, but deep down, to me it still looks a lot like wolverine and the x-men, or even x-men evolution. Guess a person has to stray very far from how to draw a marvel character to make the style very different as well.

I would read the shit out of the title that had those characters. That's great. That could be a great TV series too, but that art style and them, together, as a team? Excellent.
