X-Position Chris Claremont interview on X-Men Forever

Post by neling4 »

He answered my question! :bamf
"Next up, neling4 is hoping to see more of a certain formerly-blue elf."

Me: "Mr. Claremont, I'm sure you don't remember, but we met at the Comic-Con in 2008 and you later responded to my email. I have another question now: I am enjoying your "X-Men: Forever" series, but I was hoping for more Nightcrawler, particularly since his death in the main Marvel 616 universe. Will we be seeing more, a LOT more, of Kurt and his new powers? Thank you for your time."

Chris Claremont: "Hopefully we'll have the chance to meet again at this fall's NY Comic-Con (I assume that's what you're referring to), or perhaps at San Diego in a fortnight or so. EXCLUSIVE: Ron Lim contributes art for XMF #8 With respect to Kurt, one of my favorite characters: you betcha!"

Don't think I have heard of them. Sorry. I have heard of Ron Lim, but not the other two.

That's really interesting.

I just wish it was canon, but it's good to see CBR and a big-shot Marvel Writer like Claremont collaborating like that for the fans.

I stopped reading it when he made Kurt not blue and fuzzy...he just didn't feel like Kurt to me...

Of course, I still had other Kurt books to read at the time...

Non-blue, non-fuzzy Kurt still has that sweet personality, so that's good enough for me.

:offtopic Sorry, I don't know it backwards&forwards; when was Kurt NOT blue? And/or fuzzy? Unless you mean that the coloring looked flat or something?

I am always SO out of the loop. Even tho folks say I'm loopy. :D

I don't have the issue, but I think it was in issue 17 (?) that Rogue and Kurt switched powers....so now Rogue is blue and fuzzy with a tail, and Kurt looks like a normal guy and has Rogue's powers. I still don't get why they changed uniforms though. The last I saw, Kurt was wearing green and Rogue had Kurt's black and red uniform on (taken in, of course).

Here's a picture of Rogue:

I was under the impression this was temporary.

I haven't been keeping up with the Forever title but Neling has. I'm not sure if it's temporary or not.

We won't know if it's temporary until the power switch wears off.

So far, the only indication is that, depending on who's the colorist, Rogue's got her regular hair color back.

Calling it... power swap wears off while someone is getting busy fondling Rogue's blue and furry tonsils. THE GUILT. AND SHAME.

Fondling tonsils? I think someone would need to be a pervy ear, nose, and throat surgeon to even be physically capable of doing that.

Anyway, whatever Claremont has in mind, it looks like he has until January to accomplish that. :(
