Off-Topic Antics Modification

Long-time members of Nightscrawlers will recall that at one time, posts in Off-Topic Antics did not count towards their Post Count. However, in our long, arduous, and continuing process of board upgrades and hacks and recreations, this hack got lost along the way and these posts started counting again. Not only that, but the hack was never released again for the latest version of our forum software. So we have had to do without it.

It has always been our intention to reinstate this functionality so recently we have created and tested a hack of our own on our test version of Nightscrawlers. As of today it has been implemented. What does this mean?

It means that once again, posts in Off-Topic Antics will no longer count towards each member's post count. This reduction is retroactive, so everyone will notice a mild to severe reduction in their post count depending on how much they post in Off-Topic Antics. This is intended and can not be reversed. The point of this policy is to encourage on-topic posts and positive contributions to these forums.

Thank you,
