The Coming Attractions Web site recently revealed that two more roles have been filled for 20th Century Fox's upcoming mutant movie sequel, X-Men 2.

According to the site, actress Kea Wong has been cast in the role of Jubilee, the Asian-American teenager with the mutant ability to create brilliant displays of multicolored light resembling fireworks. Wong has had supporting roles in such television shows as Two, Millennium, The Division, and Seven Days. Wong also starred as Paula in 2000's Snow Day.

Also, actress Shauna Kain will be portraying Siryn, the teenage mutant with the ability to project a sonic scream. Kain has appeared in episodes of television shows such as Harsh Realm, Freedom, and Night Visions. Kain will also be playing Josie Rinkenhauer in Warner Bros. adaptation of Stephen King's Dreamcatcher.

X-Men 2 is currently before the cameras in Canada. The film is scheduled for a May 2, 2003 theatrical release.

Hmmm... interesting. I still worry that they just keep adding characters. Too many mutants running around equals confusion and no individual character development/screen time.

I was so happy when I heard Jubes was casted, I was hoping to see more of her.

Singer did say that this story would not be about character development and would be more action based. This worries me because there wasn't enough character development in the first one. Apart from Wolverine and Rogue we have no idea how Cyclops, Jean, and Storm got there. Or anyone else. (Well WE know, but other people don't)
I think the character development will focus on Nightcrawler. All these other people are just gonna be the teens in the school. I think the reason they're actually casting people is cuz they will all be involved in a giant fight in the mansion when those guys bust in.

That's my 2 cents.

i think they're also making a big to do about the teens because of that party at Bobby's house. I think that is the predule to Pyro. I think Singer's trying to make that into a big thing. I'll bet because they use their powers a sentinel comes. And tries to kill 'em. That's my two cents. (ooh! four cents! it makes total sense!)

I don't think Sentinels are in this one... unless you know something I don't...

i thought that was the purpose of it, that's hwat i've read everywhere. Stryker is in charge of sentinels, Deathstryke is his like body guard person and mags has to team up wiht the X men to stop 'em. And Nighty just got caught up being under mind control and is supposed to be used to kill the president cuz he shot down the use of sentinels

Really? See I knew Stryker and Deathstrike were in it but I didn't think they were making Sentinels...yet.
Wait, now that I think about it... I think Singer said something about Sentinels. Said they didn't look like the comic ones either.

yeah i could've sworn that was it. anyhoo, i have one more tiny marvel science question. If quicksilver ran fast enough, could he litterally leave like a crack or a hole. Like if he were on a tread mill, could he run through it? FLash did it once and it was ridicously funny. he was a gym.

Hmm... I would guess it it was a tradmill, he would wear out the mat because of the friction and how fast he's running on it.
I haven't gotten to Quicksilver yet in my book.
