Hello, peeps! (I'm a newcomer...)

Heya. Elfdame invited me to this welcome forum, so I figured I'd go ahead and give it a shot. I'm Swizz, and I have recently joined Nightscrawlers after lurking off and on for several years. So I finally decided to get with the program and join. This community is so funny, friendly and nuts--even from the perspective of a lurker--that I fell in love with it. Fellow Nightcrawler fans! Yay!

Fell in love with Nightcrawler as a wee ten-year old, and have followed a couple comics,(kind of expensive and hard to get a hold of when you're the only geek in your family/TINY school), TAS and even Evo and the movies.

I hope it's not sucking up to say that I love Saint Kurt's fics, which actually directed me to this site in the first place.

Martial arts and acting are what you could find me doing when I'm not working on college applications or messing around here. Or waiting for Rowena's next fanfic challenge.

So that's my rant. Nice to finally post and maybe meet you guys.

There are several martial arts people on the forum. Not me; I'm obese! Closest I get to martial arts is eating Ramen noodles.

Had no idea you were lurking but glad you chose to detach from the obscurity of shadows and stand in the light with the rest of us looneys.

I used to do martial arts back when I could actually do push-ups. I almost reached black belt.

Hi and Welcome! I'm a newcomer here, too. Lurked for about two months before I joined last August. And you're probably noticed that everybody is open and welcoming and friggin' awesome here!

As for martial arts, I got a choice. I could take Tae Kwon Do... or fencing lessons. I chose fencing. Imagine my surprise, three years later, as a newly indicted Nightcrawler fan, when I found out he fences! Nightcrawler could easily be my alter ego... Christian, performer, fencer, friendly, open, outgoing, cool-looking, awesome prehensile tail....

Acting is something I do too... it seems like a lot of people on this board are attracted to Nightcrawler because they have one or more of his attributes... they identify with him.

I've also studied aikido for several years, fenced for several years (sabre and epee), but the martial arts that interest me at the moment are Krav Maga, jujitsu, and Muay Thai.

I do judo, for the most part. But I've actually started considering taking krav maga (it's spelled a zillion different ways, so pardon me if I confuse...), which is insane. I had a friend who fenced. XD It did look like a lot of fun. And that's so cool that you do! Angelique and Dedicated, that's a very cool list of accomplishments.

Yeah, everyone is very nice around here. It reminds me of my acting troupe, which is why I de-lurked. You guys are awesome.
