7/28 Game: Farewell - and don't drink the eggnog

Rec Room

[Dr.Xavier] Xavier sat in his chair, surveying the decorations and assembled students with a sense of accomplishment. This - this was the result of his dream. It was all beginning.

[Dr.Xavier] There was a huge tree in the corner, and baubles and bows on just about everything else. Music was playing in the background. It was so "christmas special"

[Nocturne] Talia looked around. This little meeting was a bit dumb, but she couldn;t help the smile on her face. It was almost Christmas!!

[remy] Remy eyed the garish display with a bit of unease. Jesus.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen gazed about on the cliché decorations with a mixture of resignation and disgust.

[remy] Why did people get so nuts over Christmas?

[Elizabeth] Lizzie was half hidden in the corner, as always a hood pulled up over her head, though this one had cat ears on the hood, making it a little different from the usual band hoodie she seemed to favour.

[Nocturne] She just LOVED Christmas. Seeing the rec room all done up almost made her giddy.

[Elizabeth] The decorations were cheesy and crap. Back home they'd be flamboyant, traditional Christmas decorations with a tree from Norway and holly and msitletoe from the woods that spread out over the grounds of her family's estate.

[Dr.Xavier] "Please feel free to help yourself to refreshments." Xavier waved a hand towards the sideboard set with all sorts of things - gingerbread, eggnog, the works.

[Elizabeth] She wondered if she would get away with 'tampering' with the stereo to stop the music...it was incredibly annoying.

[remy] Remy saw how excited that Talia looked though. And it made him happy. "Dis remindin' y' of 'ome, chere?"

[TheFallen] * TheFallen wandered over to the eggnog and pondered whether it had alcohol in it or not.

[Nocturne] "Well, home its never THIS big," she indicated the enormous tree. "Aren't you excited though?? CHRISTMAS!"

[TheFallen] Things hadn't changed that much. Except he considered that he probably shouldn't drink it if it had alcohol, which was new...

[Elizabeth] Lizzie stayed where she was. Food or drink was not currently appealing to her....

[remy] He shrugged turning to the snacks set out. "Suppose so." he regarded the big crystal bowl full of eggnog supicioiusly. "what d' 'ell is dat?"

[TheFallen] "Eggnog," * TheFallen spoke up. "The best part of Christmas."

[TheFallen] * TheFallen decided the Professor was too much of a square to put alcohol in eggnog and wandered off with a cup.

[Nocturne] "I never liked egg nog much," Talia made a face at the bowl. "But I Loooooooove the ginger bread men!" She picked one up happily. "And this one has red hots!"

[remy] Remy picked up the ladle and poured himself a small cups worth. He sipped at it, making a bit of a face. "Its thick. An...kinda...well - its like swallowin'...stuff" he whispered under his breath to TJ.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen chokes from across the room, his excellent ears having picked that up.

[Nocturne] She blushed ridiculously at that, stuffing the cookie in her mouth. She took a swat at him.

[remy] He grinned. "Well flavored for sure."

[Elizabeth] Curling up a little smaller, Lizzie wonders why she's even there...In the same room as TJ, Remy...Trying to make an effot, maybe? She didn't know.

[remy] Grabbing her hand he directed her cookie to his mouth, biting the head off. He laughed at her outraged glare.

[Nocturne] "Hey! The head's the best part!" She pulled the cookie away.

Dr.Xavier enters this room

[TheFallen] * TheFallen wandered over to Lizzie and leaned against the wall.

[TheFallen] "You all right?" he muttered downward in her general direction.

[Dr.Xavier] Xavier smiled at the students scattered through the room. Despite a few wrinkles that needed to still be ironed out, this was the start of it all. The security of the future for mutant kind.

[Nocturne] Guarding her cookie, she leaned back against Remy a bit. "Excited about going home with me??"

[Wanda] Wanda took her time looking over the buffet table and finally choose one of the gingerbread cookies

[Dr.Xavier] "If I could have all of your attention for a minute."

[Elizabeth] "Been better..." Lizzie said, keeping her eyes downcast. "Had a little chat with Xavier," she added uncomfortably, unsure if she wnated to tell Warren what Xavier had said in a roomful of people.

[remy] Remy bit his lip a bit. "Oh yeah...sure."

[Nocturne] "It's gonna be sooooo much fun!"

[TheFallen] "Ah. Aha. Well, those are always fun."

[Dr.Xavier] "I just wanted to share how pleased I am with all of you, and your hard work over this past semester. It was a first for us. I am happy to congratulate you all - the first students to attend this establishment."

[Wanda] Deciding she liked gingerbread, Wanda munched on the cookie and looked around the room

[Elizabeth] Lizzie was about to reply to Warren when she heard what Xavier said and started to giggle. "Bullshit...."

[TheFallen] * TheFallen stared at Dr.Xavier and decided he must not be talking to him. He probably hadn't taken a course all semester...

[Elizabeth] "Xavier is just full of it, really. I don't think he's including me in that though. He's all for having me sectioned if I don't take up yoga."

[Nocturne] TJ sighed. Was he gonna start on the leaders thing like Wagner had?

[Dr.Xavier] "You all are the foundation for which a major part of the future for all mutants, yourselves, your friends...and others will be built upon."

[Nocturne] She poked around the christmas tree, looking at ornaments, humming All i want for Christmas is You.

[TheFallen] "Yoga? I don't even want to think about how I'd damage myself and everyone else attempting yoga."

[Nocturne] ((because its the best christmas song ever))

[Wanda] The decorations were so brightly coloured and pretty - Wanda hadn't been around too many Christmas trees

[remy] Remy sat down in an overstuffed chair near the window, watching TJ poke around the tree, waiting to hear what Xavier had to say. Then maybe he could convince TJ to go up to her room to "pack".

[Elizabeth] "I don't want to think about the damage I'd do to Cal if he tried to make me bend my legs in ways they were never menat to be bent," Lizzie comments airily in reply and nearly chokes on laughter when she realises how bad it sounded.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen smirks.

[Dr.Xavier] "I look forward to the upcoming semester with great anticipation. I am sure that you will all increase your skills, and become even more outstanding leaders for our future."

[Wanda] Wanda settled down on the window sill, and also watched TJ looking at the tree decorations as she popped an orange slice in her mouth

[Elizabeth] Lizzie stuffs her fist in her mouth, tears of laughter welling up in her eyes.

[Nocturne] This just made her really miss home. She'd be decorating the tree around now with her mom and dad. Did they do it without her?

[TheFallen] * TheFallen began to get the feeling again that all official functions of the schools were bores...

[TheFallen] (("Talia! What are your mom and dad doing on that tree?!"))

[remy] Remy caught Lizzies comment and watched her laugh. She seemed...happier today. He couldn't help but still feel a bit uneasy after the other day, certain that she'd done the same thing to Wagner. She was just so hard to predict. He sighed. Paths...

[Nocturne] ((LOL! WHAT?!))

[Japheth] Japh walked in, listening to Prof. Xaviers last comment.

[TheFallen] ((read your last RP sentence. The way Warren would read it.))

[Nocturne] ((LOL!))

[Nocturne] She walked over to Remy, taking a seat in his lap, giving him a quick kiss. "Isn't it pretty!" she looks up at the tree.

[Dr.Xavier] "I know that some of you are choosing to return home, while others are spending their time here. I am sure that we'll have a marvlous time. For those of you that are returning home though, please be cautious to whom you mention this facility too. We do not want to attract the wrong type of attentio

[remy] It was a tree. With shit all over it. He supposed the twinkling lights were kind of nice. "Oui."

[Elizabeth] Lizzie noticed Remy looking at her and quickly stopped laughing and looked away as TJ joined him...God, sometimes it still hurt a little to think about TJ...

[Japheth] Japh looked at the tree, "It looks a bit crooked to me. It's kinda leaning to the left a bit."

[Wanda] Wanda leaned back against the window pained and tried to stifle a yawn - it seemed as though some of the students had already left

[Elizabeth] Oh dear lord, a marvelous time for those remaining? Lizzie winced at the very idea of it. It was going to be the worst Christmas ever....

[Nocturne] She cuddled close to Remy, watching the tree. "I love it. Sometimes its nice to just sit and watch it, you know?" she sighed. "I can't wait to see the tree at home."

[TheFallen] * TheFallen pried himself up from the wall, painfully remembering Ray's admonitions to at least try to socialise. He walked over to the tree, sitting down and waiting for the Professor to finish.

[remy] "Sit an' watch it? Its not doin' anything..."

[Wanda] Wanda tilted her head and examined the tree - maybe it was leaning, but only a little

[Nocturne] "It's not supposed to! Its just...I dunno, it's nice."

[Wanda] She looked down at the yogurt container she held in her hand and wished she had a spoon

[Nocturne] "Cause its so pretty. And Christmasy"

[Elizabeth] Lizzie looked up at the tree...It did seem to be leaning to her, just a litte.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen looked at Wanda, then at Lizzie, who both appeared to be staring at the tree.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen squinted at it but really couldn't see what their problem was...

[Japheth] Japh looked over to the snacks and sneered at the headless Santa cookie someone left there. He then moved more to where Lizzie is.

[Japheth] "So Lizzie, are you staying here at the mansion?"

[TheFallen] * TheFallen sighed and considered spiking the eggnog. Alcohol could actually really liven up this function, regardless of what Ray said.

[Elizabeth] Lizzie's attention was broken by Japh, and his very, very daft question.#

[Dr.Xavier] Xavier guestured to a small pile of presents under the tree, all identical in appearance, but labeled with names. "We decided to get you all a little something. Please, come gather around and open them."

[Elizabeth] "What the HELL do you think? You were here when my mother visited, weren't you?" Lizzie snapped loudly, jumping to her feet.

[Nocturne] She rubbed her arms a bit. It was just the slightest bit chilly in here.

[Elizabeth] "So, yes I'm bloody staying here!"

[Nocturne] Wait? Presents?!

[remy] Remy eyed the pile under the tree uncertainly. His eyes flicked to Lizzie's outburst. Well...here it comes again.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen raised an eyebrow at the ruckus behind him. Lizzie seemed to be a bit more awake now...

[TheFallen] He wondered if he should worry...

[Japheth] "Woaw there girl! I was just wondering maybe you have some other family member. But I'm sorry I mentioned it.... ooh presents." Japh looked over to the boxes.

[Nocturne] She moved to the tree and decided to play Santa.

[Nocturne] Picking up the first package she saw. "Warren!"

[TheFallen] * TheFallen flicked his eyes back to the tree, though, Dr. Xavier's comment breaking through. What?!

[Wanda] Wanda's attention shifted over to Lizzie at her outburst

[TheFallen] * TheFallen raised an eyebrow in absolute disbelief. A present for him. After being out 90% of the time and disrupting the school the other 10%.

[Nocturne] She tossed the package at him, then hoped it was nothing that would break.

[TheFallen] What in the world would Xavier have gotten him... alcohol? He caught it easily.

[Wanda] and then over to TJ as she started taking wrapped packages out from under the tree

[Elizabeth] "Yeah, of course...." Lizzie muttered and stalked over to the furthest corner away from everyone else.

[Nocturne] She picked out the next one. "Wanda!" And she passed it on

[TheFallen] * TheFallen opened the present slowly, trying to remember the last present he had had...

[TheFallen] And smirked as he saw cloth underneath. Figured. Underwear?

[Elizabeth] She ignored the present-giving, not in the mood for Christmas cheer....back home at school the last day was always taken up with giving out presents and the weeks before, cards.

[Wanda] Wanda took the present carefully from TJ

[TheFallen] He groaned as he unwrapped it all the way and held it up. Worse. A hoodie. An Xavier University hoodie.

[Nocturne] This was so exciting! The next had her name on it, so she put it aside. Picking up another. "Oh, Japh!" She passed it on.

[Dr.Xavier] Xavier contentedly watched the students handle their gifts. It was all just as he pictured.

[TheFallen] Was he supposed to thank the professor now? How akward.

[Nocturne] The next was Scott, he wasnt here. "Ooo for Remy!" She passed it to him.

[Dr.Xavier] He'd never had a family of his own. This was now his family. His future. Mutantkinds future.

[Elizabeth] Lizzie snickered at the sight of the hoodie....real classy present. She made her mind up to get Warren something decent...after she figured out what he'd like. Alcohol was too...well, everyday really.

[Nocturne] SHe dug through the last few, coming up with Lizzies. She stood and walked it to the girl. "This one's yours."

[remy] Remy took the present from her and fiddled with the bow on it. Presents still felt weird. Expecially after that whole Scott thing.

[TheFallen] "Uh, thanks Prof." He nodded to the Professor, still up on the stage.

[Elizabeth] Lizzie looked up at TJ. "Thanks..." she said a little stiffly, hunching her shoulders over as she carefully took the present.

[Elizabeth] It was probably a self help book....

[Nocturne] She gave Lizzie a bit of an awkward smile, before retreating to grab her own, taking her seat again with Remy.

[Nocturne] "What is with you and not opening presents?" She asked him, tearing the wrapping off her own.

[Elizabeth] Lizzie poked the present and started to pick awkwardly at a corner. She really didnt want to open it infront of everyone if it was a self help book....

[Japheth] Japh looked at his XU hoodie, "Well, isn't this nice." He said with a forced smile.

[remy] He shrugged and opened his, looking at the sweater within. Well...at least it would be warm.

[Wanda] Wanda set her glass of red wine to the side and turned the package over in her hands

[Elizabeth] Hmmm, felt the wrong kind of weight for a book anyway....

[Elizabeth] Lizzie tore open the paper. A hoodie. Because she didn't have any of those, she thought, rolling her eyes.

[Wanda] Unfortunetly, as she started to open it the paper started to curl up and small flames appeared

[TheFallen] * TheFallen smirked. Everyone got the same thing.

[Nocturne] Talia pulled the paper off hers. It seemed they all got the same thing. It wasn't sooo bad she supposed.

[Wanda] She tossed it to the side and quickly doused the flames with the alcohol

[TheFallen] * TheFallen blinked as Wanda tossed alcohol over flames... bad move...

[Wanda] whoops - the flames surged a little higher

[Wanda] but, it wasn't like there was a lot to burn, right?

[Elizabeth] Lizzie tried not to laugh at Wanda's predicament and wondered if Xavier had told her to take up yoga as well.

[Nocturne] Uh oh, was Wanda starting fires? Right by the tree?!

[TheFallen] * TheFallen grinned in amusement at the unexpected pyrotechnics. He wondered if he should do something, but considered breathing fire on it wouldn't help.

[remy] Remy belatedly noticed the small blaze beside Wanda."Whoa girl...whatcha doin?"

[Nocturne] Didn't anyone have water powers??

[Wanda] She tried targeting the flames with her powers - hoping to stop the fire - but instead the flames only turned from blue to green

[Japheth] Japh noticed something flickering in the corner of his eye, "Holy Jesus Mary and Joseph, a christmas bonfire."

[Elizabeth] "OPen the window and throw it out!" lizzie called from the corner.

[Wanda] "Umm," Wanda said, not really knowing what do do, "Is there anything I can use? to smother the flames?"

[Japheth] "With matching colours too!"

[Wanda] Hearing Lizzie's suggestion, Wanda jumped up and opened the window

[Wanda] And this time a hex bolt caused the package to slide rapidly away

[Wanda] but in the wrong direction

[remy] Remy stood up, trying not to dump TJ off his lap too quickly and walked over dropping his hoodie over the flames.

[remy] "Dere."

[Elizabeth] Lizzie scowled sprang up, jumping across the room and caught the flaming mess with her teke and sent it flying out of the window.

[Wanda] Wanda leapt back as the package came at her and hit the floor

[Japheth] Japh just watched the fray with utter delight.

[remy] Remy watched his smoking hoodie fly out the window. Well he guessed that was the end of that.

[Wanda] She breathed a sigh of relief as Remy smothered the flames with his hoodie

[remy] That's when he noticed the white flurries outside.

[Nocturne] This place was fucking nuts. Home was gonna be nice for a bit.

Summers has entered the room.

[Summers] Scott slipped in, having woken up an hour or so before, and gone to the rec room like Japh's note had said to go. He looked at the decorations without cheer. Great. My favorite people get to ruin a nice holiday.

[Elizabeth] "I hope it didn't land on anything flammable..." Lizzie said with a sigh and wondered if she should retreat to her corner again or be sociable...

[Wanda] She breathed a sigh of relief as the package went out the window

[remy] Remy frowned out at the mess of white outside that was quickly covering the green of the grass. "Well, don't think dat snow burns, petite."

[Japheth] "hey Scott, you finaaly woke up, you missed the pyrotechnics." Japh said with a chuckle.

[Elizabeth] Snow? Back home she had loved snow...

[Nocturne] Talia jumped up. "SNOW?!"

[remy] He'd seen small skiffs of snow at home...like...a few tiny small flakes when it was REALLY cold. But nothing like the monsterous flakes that were falling outside now.

[Nocturne] She ran to the window."OH MY GOD ITS SNOWING!!!!"

[TheFallen] ((hey, just like Kitty!))

[Wanda] "Probably not," she said, though maybe for her it might. "I'd better go get that."

[TheFallen] * TheFallen wandered to the window and looked. Well, yeah; it was about time too...

[Summers] Scott looked out the window at TJ's squeal.

[Elizabeth] Lizzie felt uncomfortable standing, so sat on the floor quickly, her back against the side of a sofa.

[Nocturne] TheFallen> ((HAHAHA! Oh the tundra of illinois))

[Nocturne] She'd never seen real snow. She'd seen it on TV, but never real snow. She reached out the window, feeling it fall and melt on her hands. "Wow!"

[Japheth] Japh got up and looked out the window past TJ, "Heh, so that's how it looks."

[remy] Remy watched as it quickly built up - the grass completely hidden. It WAS the fucking artic.

[Nocturne] She turned to Japh. "It's so pretty!"

[Elizabeth] Lizzie looked to TJ, then away quickly. She was so sweet, standing there watching snow for the first time. Her stomach gave a twinge and she looked at her knees.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen blinked in surprise at everyone so excited about snow. It was like they had never seen it before.

[TheFallen] He had figured everyone came from somewhere there was snow.

[Wanda] Wanda moved aside as TJ rushed for the open window to catch the flakes - she really should go and see where that package had landed

[Elizabeth] Lizzie didn't even contemplate getting up to watch the snow, it was nothig new for her.

[Nocturne] Talia turned around and grabbed Remy's arm. "let's go outside!"

[Wanda] She had seen plenty of snow - but the falling flakes were still pretty

[Summers] Scott turned and went over to the refreshment table and helped himself to eggnog. Snow was snow was snow. Yeah, but little Mr. and Mrs. innocent and horny haven't seen it before. That's just pathetic. "Want some 'nog?" He asked Lizzie as he sat beside her.

[remy] "Its cold!" he protested in vain as she tugged on his arm.

[Nocturne] "It's SNOWING! Come on!!!"

[Elizabeth] "No. Thank you." Lizzie shook her head and stared blankly in the opposite direction from Scott.

[Nocturne] "I've never seen snow before!" she pouted a bit at him.

[Japheth] The only time it snowed back home is like once a year, and then it only happened in an isolated town, in the middle of nowhere. "Hey TJ, mind if I join you?"

[remy] He sighed. "OK...OK." He allowed himself to be tugged out the door.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen was so tired of this. He wandered over to the eggnog and stood in front of it, back to the table.

[Nocturne] "Yeah, come on Japh!" She led them out the door.

[TheFallen] He slowly pulled out a flask from his back pocket, watching the other guests and Professor Xavier surreptitiously, then tipped its entire contents behind his back into the bowl.

[Wanda] Yes, she really should go and look for that. Wanda followed the other three out the rec room door.

Wanda exits from this room

[Summers] Well, this is boring as all hell. Why didn't I go back to sleep? He stood up and went to the window.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen turned around, making a point of grabbing a cup publically then pouring himself some more eggnog, stirring it rather vigorously while he did so.

[Elizabeth] Lizzie stood up from the floor and closed the window. God, she was bored....She wandered over to where Warren was looking shifty

[Elizabeth] "What are you up to?"

[TheFallen] * TheFallen sipped his eggnog cooly. "Getting eggnog. Only good thing about Christmas."

[TheFallen] "Have you tried it?" He knew he shouldn't, but he couldn't resist.

[Summers] Scott opened the window again, looking down at the others cavorting in the snow.

Summers exits from this room

[Elizabeth] "What, eggnog?" Lizzie raised an eyebrow. "Not that crap. As if Xavier'd give us real eggnog..."

[TheFallen] "Hm. Yeah, guess not." He smirked vaguely and walked over to sit against the wall where he had been.

[Elizabeth] Well...it was just sitting there. Lizzie helped herself to a cup then followed him, tkaing a sip.

[Elizabeth] Oooooh....

[Elizabeth] Lizzie quickly downed it and went back for a second cup.

[Elizabeth] She took the cup and wandered back over to Warren again. "So...Look, I know I've said it, but thank you."

[TheFallen] * TheFallen wondered if he would really, really regret giving Lizzie access to alcohol later.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen blinked at her, a little taken aback. "Well, you're welcome. The least I could do."

[Elizabeth] Lizzie sipped her eggnog, then took a breath. "Um, well, those hoodies were a bit...crap. So, well, what woud you like? For Christmas?"

[TheFallen] Full stop. "I'm sorry?"

[Elizabeth] "I'd like to...I dunno, get you something. You've earned it after al,"l

[TheFallen] "Oh. Oh, no no no no no. You don't owe me anything."

[Elizabeth] Lizzie blushed a deep red and bit her lip. She felt stupid now...

[TheFallen] * TheFallen noticed her discomfiture and felt bad. "Hey, I'm sorry. It's not that I don't appreciate the offer. But I can't take anything."

[Elizabeth] Lizzie drank some more eggnog and stayed mute.

[Elizabeth] Then she sighed and put her cup down. "I always seem to...mess things up. Give attention in the wrong way in the wrong place."

[TheFallen] * TheFallen wondered what to do. He didn't want her to feel bad, but he really wasn't a presents person...

[TheFallen] The last person who had given him a present was... he strained to remember, then did and took a gulp of eggnog. Yeah, not gonna happen.

[TheFallen] "Hey, you didn't mess anything up. I appreciate the thought."

[Elizabeth] "Yeah...but I wasn't just tlaking about you," Lizzie sighed and drank some more eggnog.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen sighed. He was just an ass. He glanced outside at everyone who left on that last mass exodus... he had just realised Lizzie and he were the only people left in the room.

[Elizabeth] "You're just the latest in a long line..."

[Elizabeth] Lizzie blinked. She was getting depressed again after trying so hard to keep her head above the water. Now she was sinking fast again.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen looked at her sympathetically. "Do you want to head outside? I'm going to see how ecstatic they still are after having been out in the cold for a damn half hour."

[TheFallen] "They're probably freezing to death, but won't admit it because of the novelty..." he muttered to himself.

[Elizabeth] Lizzie shrugged. "I'm not fussy. I've been in plently of snowball fights...Heh, in cadets we even did some training in the snow."

[Elizabeth] "Probably," Lizzie smiled slightly.

[TheFallen] "Should we spread the Christmas spirit and bring them out some eggnog?" He knew it sounded out of character, but he couldn't resist the thought.

[Elizabeth] Lizzie grinned. "After I've had another cup, it's quite tasty...got just this odd little undertone that I can't place my...tongue on."

[TheFallen] * TheFallen cocked his head in mock confusion, expert at keeping a poker face. "Really? Perhaps you just haven't had it without alcohol before."

[TheFallen] * TheFallen idly tried to remember what sort of alcohol really did go into eggnog... he was fairly sure it wasn't vodka, but that was the only thing he had that was clear enough...

[Elizabeth] "Possibly," Lizzie said with a giggle and gets another cup.

[TheFallen] "So, we bringing it out?" He headed for the door.

[Elizabeth] "Are you going to carry the stuff?"

[TheFallen] "Sure, if you get the door." He went over to her and grabbed the bowl.

[Elizabeth] Lizzie skipped over to the door and held it open with a flourish. Oh good god had she just skipped?

[Elizabeth] "Hurry up then if we're going!"

[TheFallen] * TheFallen stared in surprise after her but decided he hadn't screwed up too bad... she at least seemed to be in a good mood.

[TheFallen] He lifted the bowl easily and headed out the door.

[Nocturne] As soon as she opened the door, Talia ran out into the yard, arms out, looking up at the falling snow.

[Nocturne] She turned a few circles, opening her mouth to try and catch a flake on her tongue.

Wanda enters this room

[remy] Remy watched Talia dance around, the thick flakes quickly gathering on her dark hair, turning it white.

[Japheth] The cold hit Japh like a brick wall. He put on his XU sweater.

Summers enters this room

[Nocturne] She spun a few more times, before dropping to the ground. Wow, this was so cool. Snow!

Summers exits from this room

[Wanda] Wanda had grabbed a jacket on the way out - and it was still a jacket when she stepped on into the yard

[Wanda] She watched TJ's antics out of hte corner of her eye as she poked around in the bushes and drifts outside the rec room window - beside the patio

[remy] Jesus. Snow WAS cold. And wet. He shivered as a trickle of melted ice water ran down his neck.

Summers enters this room

[Nocturne] She ran her hand through her hair, feeling the flakes melt under it. It was so weird.

[Japheth] "So Wanda, how does the hoodie look on me? Stylish?" Japh posed.

[Nocturne] She stared up at the sky, watching it come down. She'd NEVER seen it from this angle. It was surreal. All these white dots, coming down on top of her.

[Summers] Time to have some fun...Scott scooped up the freshly fallen snow on the sill and packed it tightly into a ball. Now...who to piss off the most?

[Nocturne] She could sit out here all night. If it weren't freezing as all hell. She shivered rubbing her arms. Jeez!

[Wanda] Wanda looked up and grinned at Japh - "Of course," she said - then the package caught her eye

[Wanda] It had been wedged in the railing of the patio - Lizzie must have thrown it with a lot of force

[remy] Remy smiled at TJ. Well at least she wasn't going to get any bluer. Still she looked cold.

[Summers] Scott let the soft snowball fly and grinned when it exploded onto the back of Japh's head, throwing off his 'pose'.

[remy] "Y' ready t' 'ead in now?"

[Nocturne] She pulled her arms tight around her, still staring up at the sky. Fucking freezing.

[Nocturne] Noticing Remy, she pulled him down next to her, cuddling close to him. "A few more minutes."

[remy] He sighed, parting reluctantly with HIS coat and draping it around her. Sometimes being a gentleman sucked.

[Japheth] "aaah, gaah, it's cold, it'scold," Japh yelled as half the snowball's snow went down his neck.

[Summers] ((He shoulda taken the damn coat Scott gave him! lol))

[Nocturne] She pulled the coat tight around her, turning to him. "Aren't you cold?"

[remy] He wrapped her in a close hug and watched Japh yelp and hop around trying to claw the snow out of his back.

[remy] "Chere, Remy given up on feelin' warm until we go t' y're 'ome."

[Nocturne] "It's SO hot back home. Not so much at Christmastime, but still way hotter than here."

[Nocturne] She sighed. "And it never snows."

[remy] "Oui, an' y' never freeze y're balls off neither. Its a fair trade chere."

[Wanda] Wanda retrieved what was left of the package from the patio and pulled the fabric out - letting the Xavier logo furl out

[Nocturne] TJ raised a brow. "Well, I don't have balls. So, I dont think I'd need to worry about that."

[remy] "Well I'd think y' cared at least a little 'bout mine." he poked her in the ribs.

[Summers] Scott snickered and left the window, closing it for Lizzie.

[Japheth] After Japh frozen River Dance, he scooped some snow at a statue's feet, which replaced the previous 'missing statue', and threw the snowball at Scott. And missing, terribly.

[Nocturne] She giggled "Maybe a little." Turning to him. "Are they getting a bit blue?" She couldnt help but laugh at her dumb joke.

[remy] He chuckled with her. "Well...think dat y' took care of dat problem dis mornin' chere...an' den again just 'fore lunch." he nipped at the tip of her ear.

[Summers] Scott snuck around the side of the house, scooping up snow, making more snowballs. Joining Japh, he smacked both TJ and Remy with one each, then lobbed another at Wanda.

[Nocturne] She leaned in close to Remy, an yelped as she was smacked with a snowball. "HEY!"

[remy] Remy jerked at the sudden burst of cold, turning around to spot a grinning summers. Oh game on boy. He scooped a large amount of snow into a pile making an oversized snowball.

[remy] Trickling a slight bit of a charge in it he lobbed it at the spot just over Scotts head and watched as it detonated with a soft "whoof" over his head, showering him with snow.

[Wanda] Wanda jerked her hand up in reflex and the snowball took a 180 and head straight back towards Scott

[Wanda] She giggled as she picked up the Xavier blanket from where she had dropped it

[Nocturne] She wiped the snow from her neck. That wasn't even funny!

[Summers] "That won't work you gotta pack it tightly, Remy! It's fresh pow-" Scott spat out a well-aimed snowball.

[Japheth] Japh fished out his mobile and snapped pictures with it.

[Summers] He stooped down and got some more snow, this time landing a snowball in Remy's face which turned to powder on impact.

[remy] Remy scooped the snow off his face with one hand. "Well didn't want t' actually blow y're 'ead OFF Scott, but if y' insist."

[remy] He squished the snow tightly together this time, taking careful aim.

[Summers] Damn. Forgot about his powers for a minute. Scott sidestepped behind Japh.

[Wanda] Shaking out the blanket, Wanda realized it was soaking wet - a quick flash of her powers and it had frozen solid - standing up in the snow - an effective shield

[Wanda] Which was good - because Remy and Scott looked like they were taking their snowball fight a little too seriously

[remy] Remy grimaced as Scott hid behind Japh. Figured.

[Nocturne] Talia watched Remy lob a snowball at Scott. Get him!

[Japheth] "Hey, hey, don't bring me into this." Japh moved out of the way.

[Summers] "Aww, come on, Japh, it's fun!" He threw another snaball at TJ, but missed by 10 feet.

[remy] Remy grinned at the sudden window and whipped the snowball at Scott, just putting the tiniest bit of a punch behind it. Nothing...damaging.

[remy] He laughed as it hit Scott in the ass and blew up.

[Nocturne] TJ noticed a snowball coming in her direction, but thankfully missing. "DUDE! What the hell!"

[Nocturne] SHe burst out at the snowball hitting Scott in the butt.

[Japheth] Japh made a small recording of the fight on his cellphone.

TheFallen enters this room

[TheFallen] * TheFallen came outside onto the porch, bearing the massive bowl of eggnog from inside.

Elizabeth enters this room

[Summers] Scott looked at his wet jeans. Heh. "Nice one, Remy." Scott countered with another that got Remy in the chest.

[remy] Remy laughed at Warren with his big bowl. "A cup not enough?"

[TheFallen] * TheFallen looked for a moment for a place to put it then settled on one of the porch chairs... hadn't the professor heard of the little tables that came with those?

[Elizabeth] Lizzie follows, hopping from one foot to the other. "Ooooooh, cold cold!!"

[Nocturne] Talia attempted to pack ehr own snowball, but found trouble doing it. Instead she sent a bwamp at Scotts feet, spraying snow over him.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen took a seat on the chair next to it. "Call me an addict." He reclined with a lazy grin.

[Elizabeth] "Come and get some eggnog!" Lizzie called out, still swigging from her cup. "You guys must be soaked!"

[TheFallen] * TheFallen raised an eyebrow at Lizzie behind her back. He was pretty sure now she knew it was spiked...

[Summers] Too bad Angel had to miss this, we could've had a good time. Scott jumped as he was sprayed with snow.

[remy] "T' cinnamon flavored semen?" Remy looked at it askance. "What's so great about it anyway?"

[Wanda] Scott seemed to be getting the worst of this, Wanda thought - thankfully, no one else decided to send any snow her way

[TheFallen] * TheFallen sighed and shook his head at Remy. "You obviously have no appreciation for the elixir of winter..."

[Elizabeth] "Like with semen it's good for you so swallow, bitch!"

[TheFallen] * TheFallen jerked upright and blinked. OK. No more eggnog for Lizzie.

[remy] Remy laughed. "Oh Remy's got apprechiation for all sorts of elixers, 'omme. Just not used t' drinkin' it out of a cup."

[Japheth] Japh put his cellphone away, and laughed at what Liz yelled.

[Nocturne] She made a face. "Egg nog is just....ew."

[Summers] He glared at Japh and Wanda. Had NOBODY ever had a snowball fight? What is wrong with these people? Have they not watched telelvision either? His jaw dropped at Lizze's comment. I'll never be able to drink eggnog again.

[Elizabeth] Lizzie made a show of swallowing her eggnog....

[TheFallen] * TheFallen nodded at Remy then pulled a flask out of his back pocket, shaking it next to his ear.

[Summers] Ever.

[TheFallen] "Well, I'd share my flask with you," he called back, "But it seems to be empty."

[Elizabeth] Ugh....maybe it hadn't been such a good idea to yell that.

[Elizabeth] Lizzie saw the flask, heard the empty remark and threw her arms around Warren's shoulders. "Mate, just like my big brother you are at times!"

[remy] "Ah..." Remy arched a brow. "Inta dat?" he pointed at the bowl of white thick liquid.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen blinked over Lizzie's shoulder. He wished Remy's deduction wasn't so acute and his voice so loud. "No," he called back. "Good idea though."

[Nocturne] Wait, was there alcohol in the eggnog? Hmm...maybe she would have some.

[remy] He smiled at the way Warrens head jerked around at that. "Well den...mabey Remy should give it another try, neh? Wouldn't want t' spoil d' fun."

[Elizabeth] "Sooo what ya put in it?" Lizzie asked curiously, quite quietly. "I'm not lettin go till you tell me!"

[TheFallen] * TheFallen frowned, ducking out of Lizzie's arms and sitting back down on the chair. Nice and subtle, Warren. Good freaking job.

[Wanda] Tugging at the blanket, Wanda decided it was pretty much stuck where it was - at least until the snow melted - whenever that would be

[TheFallen] * TheFallen smirked up at Lizzie. "Hey, I didn't say I put anything in it. I don't know what you're talking about."

[Japheth] It was times like these that Japh wondered if having external stamochs was the stupidest mutation there is.

[Elizabeth] Lizzie started to giggle. "Yeah, yah course you didn't!" she gave a little hiccup and made for the bowl. "You wont mind if I have more then? Gotta love the spunknog!"

[remy] Remy watched Warren pull into himself again. Damnit. He hadn't meant to show the guy's hand. He and Lizzie seemed to be getting along pretty damn good though. "So is dere any cups?"

[Japheth] "And as usual I'll pass," Japh mumbled.

[Elizabeth] "Lick it up!" Lizzie yelled on hearing Remy. No need for a winter coat when she had spunknog to keep her warm....

[TheFallen] "Oh, right. Cups." He frowned. "Guess not."

[Nocturne] ((OMFG SPUNKNOG!!!!))

[TheFallen] * TheFallen got up with a groan and opened the door to the inside. Blessed heating system...

[TheFallen] ((This is SO Paws's fault.))

[Elizabeth] ((couldn't resist))

[TheFallen] * TheFallen returned with mucho cups and set them down next to the bowl. "Can't say I'm not agreeable. Now if you'll excuse me, I think I'm going to go lose my spunknog at that comment," he nodded to Lizzie.

[Elizabeth] Lizzie blinked. "Would you like tissue or a sock?"

[TheFallen] * TheFallen smirked and laid back down on the porch chair, wincing at the snow on his wings. It was like sunbathing without sun...

[Japheth] "Tissue" Japh said unconsciously.

[remy] Remy's eyebrows lifted. "Out 'ere? With who? Or y' flyin' solo for dat?"

[Nocturne] All the talk of spunknog was reallllly turning TJ off the whole thing. Ewwwwwww

[Summers] Scott sighed. Did nobody ever enjoy anything here without alcohol? He turned and walked out towards the rose garden. It might look nice with ice and snow on it.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen jerked upright, just realising what everyone was talking about. The vodka buzz kind of dissociated his thinking. "Wait, no. Not like that," he added, fully aware it was now in vain.

[Elizabeth] Lizzie helped herself to another cup. She mgith as well make the most of her happy mood while it lasted.

[remy] Remy howled at the expression on his face.

[Wanda] Wanda decided to catch up with Scott - who seemed to be walking away from all the activity on the porch

[Elizabeth] Seeing Warren's expression, Lizzie began giggling helplessly.

[Wanda] "Hey, Scott," she said cautiously, "Have you seen Angel around lately?"

[TheFallen] * TheFallen laid back down again, hands covering his eyes. How perverted... he did have to admit it was funny though, if only to himself.

[TheFallen] He was surprised he was beginning to enjoy himself more with his classmates, just like Ray had said. Hell, why was he surprised? The guy was always right.

[Summers] Scott paused. "Yeah, she left early, her dad's in town. Merry Christmas, Wanda." He continued walking, not wanting company.

[Elizabeth] Lizzie put her cup down, grinnign evilly and concentrated on a large drift of snow....on lifting it and floating it right over where Warren lay.

[remy] "Well den." he took a cup full and held it up in a 'cheers' fashion. "If y're not gonna give us a show at least y' can join Remy in a drink."

[Elizabeth] Oooh, she felt BAD! Lizzie thought as she dumped the snow over him.

[Nocturne] Talia shivered a bit, moving closer to the spunknog group.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen jumped up and sputtered, snow absolutely everywhere. All over his wings, too! Damn it!

[TheFallen] * TheFallen shook like a dog, then took a long deep breath.

[Wanda] "Oh," Wanda said, a little surprised at Scott's withdrawn manner.

[Elizabeth] Lizzie started to laugh uncontrollably, glad she had put her nog down or else it would have been shooting out of her nose....

[Japheth] "So, anybody know what's in spun.. eggnog?" Japh asked while watching Warren getting rid of the snow,

[Nocturne] The snow was still coming down steadily, piling up rather quickly

[TheFallen] He breathed out a rather large carpet of flame that immolated all the snow on his chair, which he comfortably settled back down into.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen smirked and closed his eyes, fully aware he hadn't demonstrated that particular power before and happy to do so in a dramatic fashion.

[remy] "Non." he eyed the brew with a bit of worry. "dere isn't anythin' really gross in dere, right?"

[Elizabeth] Wow! Watch the spun-EGGnog there mate! Lizzie thought, giggling again.

[Wanda] "But, she is coming back after break though, isn't she?" She asked his retreating figure. From what Angel had said in the library awhile ago she thought she was one of the students who was most likely to stay, but she had wanted to ask her just the same.

[Elizabeth] Lizzie, calming down slightly, started drinking her nog again, feeling slightly warm and fuzzy inside the more she drank.

[remy] "Well dat's handy." Remy nodded at the cleared off chair. "Y're like a walkin' furnace."

[Summers] Scott stopped. It wasn't fair to take out his frustration on Wanda, who'd been really nice to him. He walked back to her. "Yeah, she's coming back, not to worry."

[remy] The egg nog still felt oddly familiar going down his throat, but the alcohol helped tremedously.

[Nocturne] She stared into the Eggnog bowl. Ew. Ew ew ew ew. But, it did have alcohol in it now...from the looks of Lizzie and Warren.

[Wanda] "Good," Wanda said, obviously relieved. "I heard someone was leaving though - I'm glad it's not her."

[Nocturne] She put a teeny bit in a cup. She sniffed it. Whoa, what was in there?!

[Wanda] Looking at Scott quizzically, she asked quietly, "You probably miss her already though."

[Elizabeth] "Down it down it down it!"

[Nocturne] She swirled it around, watching it move slowly. Ew.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen opened his eyes and raised an eyebrow at Lizzie. Obviously, no more pretense existed.

[Summers] Scott stuck his bare hands into his pockets. "Yeah. Well, have a good Christmas, Wanda." He turned and walked away again.

[Japheth] "I'm fairly certain there's egg in it, I'm a still puzzled on the nog bit." Japh said.

[Nocturne] Ugh, could she ever get over the associations now? Oh Jesus, her Grandmother LOVED egg nog. OH GROSS.

[TheFallen] He rolled his eyes at Nocturne. "Seriously, TJ, you've never had eggnog? It's nothing like that."

[Elizabeth] Lizzie watched TJ with a smirk and necked all of the nog that was in her cup

[TheFallen] "Well, not the taste I mean. I guess it is kind of the consistency..." he frowned into the bowl.

[remy] "egg?" Remy swirled his cup again. "Don't see any...dere's no chunks."

[Nocturne] "I've had it! When I was little...but not with alcohol.."

[Elizabeth] Some of the eggnog came exploding back out when she heard Warren's comment. "How do YOU know that!" She gasped, whiping her chin.

[Nocturne] "You guys are fucking nasty!!"

[TheFallen] "Hey, who said there was any alcohol in it!" Warren yelled, obviously happy to cling to the last vestiges of mystery.

[Nocturne] "Can we like, not talk about semen for like ONE SECOND!"

[remy] Remy swiveled his head around to Warren crossing his arms over his chest. "Dat's right, how d' y' know dat Warren?"

[Elizabeth] "Yeah, well, texture wise it's pretty spot on but definately tastes better!"

[Wanda] "You too Scott," Wanda called after him, before turning herself and heading back inside.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen burst out laughing at Elizabeth's comment then stuffed his fist in his mouth, not in any way disclosing how embarrassed he was drink had led him to that comment...

Wanda exits from this room

[remy] "Sweet an' not salty" he grinned at Lizzie.

[Elizabeth] "Has anyone got a tissue? I have spillage..." Lizzie commented, wiping her chin, it was sticky.....

[TheFallen] * TheFallen raised his eyebrows at Remy's crossed arms, leaning back and closing his eyes again. It was both a pointed ignoral and a refusal to comment.

[Japheth] Tears started forming on Japh's cheeks as he laughed.

[Elizabeth] "Are you coming out of the closet on us, Warren-kins?"

[TheFallen] It was Warren's turn to cross his arms, and he proceeded to do so, his eyes still closed. "All this fuss about one drunken comment. Not coming out of anything," he muttered.

[Nocturne] she sloshed the egg nog again. It did look alot like..that...

[Elizabeth] "So you admit there is drink!" Lizzie yelped and wondered if she should throw her cup at him, but decided to keep it as she would need it.

[TheFallen] ((You do realise I am never going to be able to drink eggnog again... and it really is my favourite drink.))

[TheFallen] * TheFallen opened his eyes again, realising Lizzie was right. God, was he not watching what he was saying at all? He had no one to blame but himself for this mess.

[Elizabeth] ((never had it))

[Nocturne] TheFallen> ((are you an egg nog latte person at starbucks? I HATED making those))

[remy] Remy grinned at his discomforture. "Well den...'ow d' y' know?"

[TheFallen] ((Nocturne> Hate lattes.))

[TheFallen] "How do you?" Warren shot back, then clapped himself on the forehead as he realised what a failure that was as a comeback. The answer was rather obvious...

[Elizabeth] ((lattes are okay with about ten extra shots of espresso))

[Elizabeth] Lizzie mimed a certain action with her hand and mouth, her tongue pushing out one side of her cheek.

[TheFallen] He laid back on his chair and put his hand over his eyes. He was sooo gonna kill Ray when he got out of here. Sooo dead.

[Nocturne] Talia looked to Remy....hmmm

[remy] "Well...experience 'omme. 'ow else?" He smiled. "Dere is only ONE way t' really know, oui?"

[Nocturne] OK, this was a bit of news.

[TheFallen] ((Really? Thought it was fairly established.))

[Japheth] "Yeah" japh accidentally said out loud.

[Nocturne] ((its established he swings both ways...but its not like tj assumes he's been sucking dicks))

[TheFallen] ((OK, seriously. Why is it that bi guys' girlfriends assume they've nevertheless had no boyfriends at all?))

[TheFallen] * TheFallen uncovered his eyes and stared at Japheth.

[remy] Remy started to howl at Japh's brief 'yeah'. "Jesus...who 'ere IS straight?"

[TheFallen] * TheFallen pulls out yet another flask from his other back pocket, downs it, then leans back in his chair rubbing his eyes. "Good God, this school has problems. 'Mutant College Boys Go Wild...'"

[Nocturne] She turned to ehr boyfriend. "So you've like....done that??"

[remy] "Maybe its somethin' t' do with bein' a mutant..." He rubbed his arms briskly trying to warm up. "Done what?"

[Elizabeth] Lizzie grinned evilly and made a hand action, sticking her tongue into one cheek to make it stick out slightly

[remy] ((AHAHAHAHA))

[Nocturne] Talia squeaked a bit at Lizzie. "THAT!"

[Nocturne] She put the eggnog down.

[Elizabeth] "Hey, spit or swallow, remember?" she poked her tongue out at TJ.

[Japheth] "No wait I didn't mean I blew guys, I just agreed that's just one of the ways of finding out how it tastes."

[remy] He laughed at Lizzies lewd motions. "Oh, pfft, of course." he shrugged like it wasn't anything. He'd told her he was bi. And explained it. Several times.

[remy] "Oh dat's right...y' can't taste anyway can y'?"

[Nocturne] Her eyes widened at Lizzie. "LIZZIE!!"

[TheFallen] * TheFallen covers his entire body with a wing, utterly sure given the conversation that hands wouldn't be enough. He so didn't want to see the motions...

[Japheth] "Well, I can taste, I just can't swallow."

[Elizabeth] Lizzie mimes gulping heavily.

[remy] "y' realizin' dat y're just diggin' yourself in d' 'ole again, don't y' Japh?"

[Japheth] ".....yes...I know"

[Nocturne] "Oh my GOD! LIZZIE!! Your not supposed to TELL!"

[remy] Remy looked from Lizzie to Talia. "Tell what?"

[Elizabeth] "Well...yes, it was a girly night, but obviously all of us - well, maybe not Japh here have had experience in the matter!"

[Nocturne] "Tell...nothing!"

[TheFallen] * TheFallen opens his wings at whatever's brewing between TJ and Lizzie. What the hell?

[Elizabeth] Lizzie shrugged. "No one told me that!"

[Japheth] "Did you two fool around?"

[Nocturne] "NO one told tyou!! DUDE! Its a rule of the GAME!You dont play questions and blab!"

[Nocturne] She stopped at what Japh said. "NO!"

[TheFallen] Oh my God, this was hilarious. What the hell was going on?

[Elizabeth] Lizzie turned to look at Japh and shivered slightly, then looked back to TJ...

[remy] He tried to think back on what Lizzie had said. Nothing more than talking about what the rest of them had been. He froze at Japhs question. Whoops. did Lizzie say that? And just HOW much booze had Warren poured into the bowl.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen peered in between one face and another in a drunken haze. What in the world...

[Elizabeth] "Umm...I'm going for a walk. Clear my head a little," Lizzie bit down on her lip and hurried off , pulling her jacket around her against the cold.

[Elizabeth] Fucking Japh...Why the hell did people in this place have to be so spot on about things?

[Nocturne] She watched Lizzie run off. Oh jeez..great Japh.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen wondered idly if he should follow her or not. He really didn't want to trust that he could protect himself when he was drunk...

[remy] "Chere...Remy's gonna freeze t' death out 'ere - spiked drink or no..."

[TheFallen] * TheFallen blinked drowsily up at Remy. "Do you know what in the world is going on? Because I sure don't."

[Nocturne] TJ turned to him, happy the subject changed from what Lizzie wasnt supposed to tell. "Lets go inside. its cold."

[Elizabeth] Lizzie walked quickly without real direction...Dammit, she'd have to stay out here until they all went inside as there was no way she was going to walk back past them now.

[remy] He looked uncertainly from Talia to Warren. "Ah well...y' know girls. Dere a funny bunch." Well...that would get him in trouble, but not nearly as much as telling Warren that Lizzie kissed Talia.

[TheFallen] No one told him aaaanything. Which wasn't really surprising, he considered, as he was never on campus.

[TheFallen] "You can say that again." He closed his eyes, seemingly satisfied with that answer.

[Nocturne] she rolled her eyes. "Pfft WE'RE funny. Ok, spunknog boy."

[Elizabeth] Her merry state was now turning into a sour headache, the cold seeming to make it worse, but she wasn't going to go back...

[remy] He looped an arm around Talia's waist and laughed, following her inside.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen sighed and got up, suddenly realising if he didn't get up and go inside soon, he'd go to sleep outside...

[TheFallen] He looked out and saw Lizzie still sulking in the garden and sighed, knowing he had to at least get her inside too.

[Japheth] "Well, if my bladder was working I'd pissing ice right about now, I'm going in." Japh walked back inside.

[TheFallen] * TheFallen clumped without his usual grace down the porch stairs down to the garden, and walked up behind Lizzie.

[TheFallen] "Hey, you going inside too? You're going to freeze to death out here."

[Elizabeth] Shivering from cold, Lizzie turned around to see Warren. "Maybe...And maybe that woudn't be so bad. I'd stop messing people up..."
