The Marvel Cinematic Universe is just the beginning - talk Marvel on the big screen, small screen and everything in between. DC Cinematic Universe and independent comic creations are welcome, too - The Walking Dead, Preacher, etc.

I don't see that lady as Storm at all. She's too light, too glamorous, too, fake. I don't know. If you see a native African, they are much darker and rounder than that, generally. Not trying to be racist, this girl just looks too American. I think we should get a woman with a real accent and a natural body, if you know what I mean. I just don't see Storm as a pr0n store. That could just be me though....

Sorry Gaz, I don't base a persons worth on whether they are a porn star or not, so I hadn't considered how other people would see it before I posted. I think that she is very pretty, but no, she doesn't look like a natural woman. Hollywood and Marvel, would likely not go with that anyway, they would probably want image recognition or some such, to help sell the merchandice *sigh*
No, we will probably end up with Beyonce or something *shudder*

I wasn't basing her worth, I was basically saying that pr0n stars aren't known to be the best actors/actresses, and she doesn't look natural enough to be a woman who has lived part of her life in Africa. It would just be bad casting IMO. They really need someone with a lot of natural beauty and with a good accent, not one that randomly appears and dissapears, which Halle Barry seemed to have.

I agree with Gaz on this one, someone who looks 'natural' and fits the part. Not someone who looks like they were pulled out of a Revlon magazine and dyed their hair white, not that thats a bad thing...:shifty.

Oh yeah, and that wig that she wore was SO BAD. It was so horrible. It looked about as natural as when you see those old ladies with blue hair :LOL

Let's just hope the new director gets great makeup artists and hair stylist this time 'round and...*grumbles hopefully about leaving Famke out and switching her with someone else as Jean*...getting Beast or Remy:lick in.

I love Famke!! I love her hair in the X movies too. I am hoping that they don't bring the Pheonix saga into the 3rd movie, because that would just take more time away from Kurt, Remy, and other characters that aren't focused on enough.

Yeah, Jean got plenty of screen time in X2, but Kurt, who is a new character and therefore the entire movie should reveolve around him, only got about six scenes! ...Okay, so maybe he had a resonable amount of screen time, but now I'm worried that he'll just kinda fade into the backround now that they've introduced him...

That's another reason I'm hoping Whedon gets this. In his Astonishing run, all his characters are written equally. Equal panel time, equal plot importance, and equally well written. Most other writers seem to focus on 2-3 favorites, while the rest of the cast holds up the background. This is the first time I've been able to say I was reading a "TEAM" book.

Well they better give NC more screen time to develop his personality abit, shw the real NC! And I'm sure they will if it turns out being Whedon. You can't just leave such a beautifully unique character like Nightcrawler trying to tell people about himself, hangin' by his tail in X2 and not explain it in X3!

Sorry Gaz, but I just never liked Famke playing the role of a good guy, out of all the movies I've seen her in, which is alot, only two of them she has been good(non-evil) so the image just stuck...she makes a better villain...kinda like Anthony Hopkins...although I did like him in "the Edge"
But really, Golden Eye, House on Haunted Hill, just to name a couple...don't get me wrong, she's a great actress, but she just fill the villain profile thing better in my head then being a hero type...but if she does get some time on the screen as dark Pheonix, I would be more than overjoyed.

They should have some good Kurt scenes in X3. Maybe even a scene with Mystique or Rogue. The best X2 scene was in the White House, they should have more moments of him using more of his powers like that.:ninja:mystique:rogue:bow:x2crawler:dance Sorry 'bout the smiles.

I am mostly hoping that because they went deeper into Logan's history, they will drop he whole thing and leave it at that. I really don't want to watch a whole movie about 'Logan finding his history and where he came from' because two movies is enough about that. We need some Mystique-Kurt interaction, and I'd love to see more Kitty. And Pyro having a big fight scene with Bobby would kick so much ass.

Whedon is rumored to direct and write X3. I hope this is true. He's done an excellent job with Astonishing X Men so far.

Let us hope he does X3. *crosses fingers*

The IMDB site is where you will probably hear the first news of who's going to be in it. So far, the cast is:

Shawn Ashmore .... :icey
Daniel Cudmore .... :colossus
Alan Cumming .... :moviecrawler
Hugh Jackman .... :logan
James Marsden .... :cyke
Patrick Stewart .... :prof.

That's the complete cast. You can read more about it here though:

Hola Gaz:
Just popped in to mention that Storm is actually American, she's not African, she was born in New York, then she got lost in Africa when she was a young girl.
There's make up and camera tricks that could make a person (because even when she is a porn star she is still a person) look different for a certain role on a movie.
Just adding my two cents here.

Ooooh. I knew that she was in Africa as a child. I didn't know she wasn't born there. Thanks. Well, I still don't think this pr0n lady would be a good Storm. There are tons of beautiful, talented African-American women out there. Some even look African. Anyone else have a suggestion?

Of course, personally i think somebody else would be better as Storm as well, but there's better ways to express it.

i think they should think about looking for an unknown actress to
play Storm, i mean look what it did for Hugh Jackman (Hugh was a
good wolverine)

the lady Amber is pretty- but i cant see her as Storm, i dont think she
has that "look" that Storm has,

I think that Amber chick looks too young and naive. Jada Pinkett Smith might be good for the part, but i hate when they switch actors in a recurring roll. Halle Barry should just get over herself and get the part overwith.

All James Bond films aside, I also hate it when actors switch in mid-stream... but that only applies when they've done something noteworthy in the role and created the kind of character I love. I cringed when they changed Batman after the 2nd movie, because the original actor (Michael Keaton) had done such a wonderful job in his protrayal that anyone else (ESPECIALLY Val Kilmer :yech) just wasn't the same.

I would hate it if any of the other major characters in the Xmen movies changed. Hugh, Famke, Alan, James, Ian, and so on have done such a great job in their roles that they've left their own personal mark upon them. But Halle just didn't do that for me. Her own acting merits and ability aside, I don't think she was well-suited to the role. They were able to replace Pyro and Kitty between X1 and X2 because their respective actors hadn't made enough of an impact to be missed (mainly because their role was so tiny). For me... well... it's the same for Storm. If the rest of the cast made impacts the size of the Barringer Meteor Crater in Arizona, Halle's impact may as well have been made by a whiffle ball.
Eagles may soar, but weasels never get sucked into the intake of a jet engine..... :evil

Well said, Amy. Because they've already made two films with Halle, it would be too obvious to replace her. But they shouldn't have cast her in the first place. It's not that surprising at all that she is being a ego centric b*tch and saying that the role is beneath her or whatever. It's just sad that she doesn't care enough about the integrity of the film to just get the last film overwith and stop being so greedy.

What ever happened to acting for the love of it and not the money? I know Hugh acts for the love of it, and I'm sure some of the others do to, but Halle just seems to want money and be better than everybody else...:shakeno 'T is a sad, sad thing.

I just noticed that Joss Whedon worked on Angel...:doh!
Please let it be him...or Tim.

I hope they have more of Kitty in this one. Kurt and Kitty being friends would be so awesome. Even though she's like 15 years younger.....and...yeah.

The movie is coming up... I'm so excited.... It's getting closer. We should all have a big party when it premieres.
