Hey all,
I was curious if anyone else around here reads CrossGen books?
I read Sigil, Scion, Negation, First, and Way of the Rat.
I love that they actually look and feel like comic books to me. (bright colors, cool pictures, neat stories, etc.) To be honest, I get frustrated when books get too "artsy."
I'm behind on all of my comic reading right now (even my Nighty stuff ), so please don't spoil too much for me.
Anyway, I was just curious. If there are enough of us, we could start a group or something.
Just thought I would ask,

p.s. My fav will always be the blue fuzzy elf, though. Chicks love the fuzzy dude!

Well, I've got the first two Forge commprendia and the first Edge commprendia.
I've been wanting to check out Sojourn and Ruse myself. Maybe Meridian or the like as well.
But don't worry, no possible way to get spoilers from me

I think they are a great read, if you have a chance. The first issue of each book is available online for free here: http://www.comicsontheweb.com. It might be worth checking out.
Hope everyone is having a good Friday!

Unless the guys over at the Crossgen boards are slipping you twenties under the table...
I don't usually pick up any of the books, but I can say one thing for them - it's about time someone took away those god-awful Coke ads in the back of the books. Yech.

The weird thing about those Coke and Pepsi ads was at the bottom there was a disclaimer that said that they weren't paid advertisements. I couldn't figure out if they were trying to feel out the audience for advertisements or what. It was really strange.

I read Sojourn and Route 666. I think they're both pretty cool, though I prefer Sojourn since it has that epic fantasy thing I dig going on.
I think CrossGen's pretty spifftacular all the way around. Very good art in all of them, methinks.

I have one Way of the Rat. It's really spiffy. I should read some more... I kept putting it off, in favor of getting more Excalibur...
;_; I need more money.

Older, smarter, and more sane than before.
Hopefully, anyway.

I hadn't read any CrossGen books before this week, but I picked up an issue of Mystic and flipped thru it. Paty looked over my shoulder. We were both blown away by the beautiful art and the spectacular coloring. I wound up picking up the first 20 issues in three trade paperbacks, and the following issues (less #27, which the store didn't have) up to #31. Good art--especially if you like pretty ladies with long legs--good coloring, and a good read.
I highly recommend Mystic.

I read Sigil, Scion, Mystic, Sojourn, and Meridian. I really like CrossGen. Nice to see others do. Most everyone here has never heard of them. :
