Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is just the beginning - talk Marvel on the big screen, small screen and everything in between. DC Cinematic Universe and independent comic creations are welcome, too - The Walking Dead, Preacher, etc.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

So I'm liking this show more and more. I still hope that Coulson is in fact an android to tie in with the next Avengers Ultron movie, however it's starting to look to me like he's just a clone.

Also found out that mutant is a four letter word for the producers of the show seeing that fox pretty much owns most of tv and movie rights to X-Men and other mutant characters. This bummed me out today. But oh well... I am glad that they are putting minor marvel comic book characters in the show as well, and not just inventing new characters all the time.

Once this show makes it to Netflix, I promise I'm going to give it a shot. Until then... it looks pretty bland. I'll try it though.

Like most series out there, you get some cool episodes, and some corny ones. It's just the fanboy in me that keeps me watching the show just to flail at all the canon characters they keep sneaking in. STILL bummed and saddened that there will not be mutant characters, just normal pyrokinesis / telekineses / etc sort of characters. But so far they handled it really nicely.

Scott and I fail at keeping up on the one show we follow religiously - The Walking Dead. We decided we'll catch this one on Netflix, since it falls right in the fan wheelhouse.

Sounds like Arrow.... and I really hate that show.

And aren't they introducing InHumans now?

Dunno, so far they just intro'd obscure villians and characters, the ones that wont be in their own movies, but could still make it into someone else's movie. Mind you they did a really nice underhanded long arc to intro deathlok.

Spoiler:

Today Simmons spoke one name, during a medical situation. Doctor Strange. Yay! Looks like someone's probably gonna get a new movie made! I wonder if they'll credit Ditko... or even try and get him on screen :cracked. But yeah, I would LOVE to see the master of magic be in the third Marvel wave.

Been hearing this news for about a year now and I'm quite excited.

There's been a lot of talk on this lately actually, which is great news because this is a severely underrated character.

and this is one of the big stories coming out of that rumor, so I would say if interested in this strange character, click this link.

Personally, if they did want a stange man and went for the dear pirate, he would have been great if he lost the whole woozy look to his latest roles and went back to the more serious look, like Ninth Gate.

It's too obvious to go with the rum-seeking pirate, so why would anyone want said pirate playing said strange man? I say no-name or no one.

Deep down I still hope that they somehow bring in more "mutants". Quotation marks because mutants are a four letter word on the show. They're Special People. Anyhow, Marvel universe just isn't marvel universe without mutants.

What would be frikken hilarious is if they can find a way of just bringing in a cameo of Deadpool. It would make the whole season for me.

I would like it if Disney would just flex some of it's monetary muscle and buy all the X-stuff back. I know it would cost a lot, but they would make the money back and we (the fans) would get not only mutants in AoS but we could get better X-men movies as well as maybe a Hulk (Ruffalo) vs Wolverine (Jackman) movie. Now would that not be FN epic or what?

I just want to see Apocalypse. If that flops, Marvel can buy 'em back. Until then... it looks like the films are back onto a good path.

... Now Miles Morales Ultimate Spider-Man swinging around in the Avengers? That would be pretty swag. I'd probably go apeshit with joy.

I never got to see the end of it. The network that ran it here kept moving it around...gave its prime time slot to some crappy reality show it just had to run four days a week for some reason...buried it in the middle of the night too late for me to stay up and watch it on a different night every second or third or sometimes fourth week...then they'd air it two nights in a row...or two episodes without notice so my DVDR only recorded the first one. The last episode I saw had some teleporting dude in it...so long ago I can't even remember what it was about.

Same thing happened with The Big Bang Theory...don't know how many episodes of that I missed because of our local TV's obsession with flippin' reality shows! The afore mentioned...and disliked...Arrow too. Season two has just started. It was on at 11pm last Thursday. This week it's on at 9:30pm Tuesday. Is it any wonder these shows don't rate well around here? You can never find the bloody things! But you can watch people who think they can sing/cook/renovate houses at the same time four nights a week!

After all that pointless shifting around it probably rated so badly they won't pick up the second season. Which is okay by me. Pay TV will probably pick it up and air it on the same day at the same time every week. They only take breaks when the US does.

Sorry...

Rant over...

I'm honestly looking forward to see how it connects to the Netflix shows Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, & Jessica Jones.

Seeing THOSE characters interacting with AoS characters will certainly draw me into the show.
