Dave's art is on a stamp

A monument and archive dedicated to Dave and Paty Cockrum. Nightscrawlers was their home on the internet and always will be. This forum preserves that legacy.

Dave's art is on a stamp

I don't know if anyone's posted about this yet, but it looks like Dave's work is now going to be on a US stamp. That's a pretty big honor -- although I'm guessing no money goes along with it :) Congrats Dave!

You can read more about the stamps on the USPS website:

Ted L.

THAT'S GREAT!! Pf course, I'd have been happier if they'd used the ol' Fuzzy Elf instead of the Wolvster...:LOL

Well, the two things that impressed me about Wolvie was that he wasn't on every stamp, and you drew him.

But yeah, I would have liked to see one with Nighty, instead of, what, two with Iron Man (and neither one a Layton, to boot).

In case anyone's curious, it looks like the Wolverine image is from the page 1 splash to Giant-Size X-Men #1.

Hey -- if these stamps do well, then maybe we will get a full X-Men set at some point, in which case Nightcrawler would be almost a sure thing.

One other point is that I was at the Post Office today and they were selling large prints of the DC stamps. Hopefully this means that we'll be able to buy a print of the Wolverine image at some point as well.

Ted

That is way cool!

I'll have to get some comic book stamps the next time I'm at the post office.

I'll be stocking up on them and using them on all correspondences. I have a reputation to uphold, after all! ;)

Okay, I fixed the subject to make it more correct. I was an English major in college, so I guess I should have gotten it right in the first place ;)
