there is now a link to a chat roominthe header bar of the forum!! jsut click 'chat and yer there

seems like an ok chat room, ugly colours, but i will try and change that...

Yes it ugly. All purple and stuff. Or did you already change it?

The only problem I have is that it shows what's been said before you entered the room. While this IS very cool because you can see what people were talking about, it is a little confusing.

yeah if you know of a better chat program... this one came with the homepage. the other one to choose from was javascript and the interface was really lousy and it was slow. :p

and yeah, those are still the orriginal colours. i havent figured out where to go to change the colours yet...

it should work, but i dunno where you go to get one set up... i don't use IRC hardly at all, aside form the applet at X-Fan

maybe i should ask at X-Fan, that's what they use there, and we have a nearly identical forum and therefore probably nearly identical domain settings...

but you need a channel first, i am assuming? i am a complete ignoramus at IRC, so someone tell me... how easy is that to do? and if you can, set up a nightscrawlers channel for us?

Well there are tons of server to get channels on. We could ask one of the already established servers for a channel and use that.

afterdark.dreamrealm.net is willing to host a channel fo us.
In fact I'm registering #nightscrawlers right now

if someone can help with a jirc applet we could get this up an running in no time!

Well, I visited and it even worked, I think. All the activity for today popped up in time for me to read through it once and then disappeared. Was it supposed to do that? Then I did a couple experimental posts. Now I was by myself, but the posts disappeared almost as soon as I sent them. Duhhhhh….
