Hmm, yes. I suspect the powers that be do this on purpose every now and then so we appreciate and praise them even more;)

Curious Bunny, what was the problem? Database error is all I was getting as I'm sure everyone else was getting when they came to Scrawler's. Just wondering since I'm sure there was nothing wrong with the config file.

it wasn't anything we haven't encountered before. just the result of using a cheap host, it just goes down sometimes. nothing we can do about it except re set it. the real problem was HORRIBLE timing. Bunny is the only one who knows how to get the database going again, and he was out of town.

...And back again! Man, you can say a lot about this server, but boring it's not. Anyway, I assume you have considered using a different server?
Just let me know if you need any help. I'm not Rockefeller or anything, but I'll see what I can do.
Thank you for all your effort!

Gosh, it's good to see this place back again!!!

What happened? The site just was gone one day, and for a long time to. I asked Zam about it, but she wasn't exactly sure at the time when I asked her.

I'm glad it's up again.

man, am I repetetive or what?

But really, who was the genious who got this place running again, so I can worship the ground they walk on.

I think all that needs be said has been said. I am happy this place is back, and a hearty thank-you to all responsible.

Now, a random sentence from a random page of Don Quixote.

"About the existence of giants," replied Don Quixote, "there are different opinions."

-idsunki, feeling alright.

As brilliant as Bunny is, it wasn't he who fixed Nightscrawlers this time. It was me.

Without Bunny's guidance I had to go through the code line by line to trace the problem back to the source so it took a little longer. But I found the issue, fixed it, and it's all good. Chat works too. The Gallery is still broken, but I think it was like that before.

and we shall forever love Zam for her fixing it this time. thank you :)

basically - I don't want to get into details, but we could not get Bunny to fix it for us this time, and neither me nor C knew how, our site is not accessed via a regular site admin panel, it took Zam stepping up to the plate to get it back online. but it was an aggravating period before that happened.

Yes, thank you...I really was worried this time.
Sail away where no ball and chain
Can keep us from the roarin' waves
Together undivided, but forever we'll be free.
So sail away aboard our rig
The moon is full and so are we,
We're seven drunken pirates
We're the seven deadly sins.

Thanks Zam!!!!

Just wanted you to know how much your time and effort was appreciated. :D

I thought the site was down for good this time.

Wow guys. I totally didn't expect all this. I admit my motives were somewhat selfish. The fact is that Nightscrawlers makes me happy and with all the pressure of vet school the happy things can be a bit scarce. I missed everyone.

So when I was getting towards the end of final exams I hunted down Crawler and Bamfette, got the necessary access info, taught myself enough MySQL and PHP to study the site code, and found the problem. Now between Bunny and myself here's hoping that we can reduce the site's downtime to less than a day or two.

Still, it's nice to know I made so many people besides myself so happy. That's the best reward there is.
