they have symbols for religions i've never even heard of before, yet they wont allow a Wiccan pentacle? what's the debate? just include it already... Wicca has thousands of adherents, surely it qualifies as a 'real' religion

Huh. I thought Wicca was recognized. But maybe it’s the active military that recognizes it, and since that’s different than veteran’s affairs it’s a separate process. I dunno.
Really, I can just see the government tying this up in paperwork just long enough for media coverage to die down and then grant the request just to keep it quiet. Sort of a “we’ll do this if you ask for it, but we won’t advertise it” thing.

The government should NOT be involved in that choice at all, I'm sorry, but the family's wishes should prevail no matter what. The government is once again micromanaging the private lives of citizens in areas it does not belong.
