The Cambodian zombie joke was funny few years back when there was no actual virus. But now that there are actual people dead, it's not really funny.

Are there even any confirmed cases of swine flu in Illinnois?

At any rate, I thought you were saying they'd stopped distributing Communion at Mass. I'd think people would stand a much greater chance of contracting a respiratory illness like the flu from close proximity to and shaking hands with a large number of people than from receiving the Holy Eucharist- even from a common cup.

But when you're taking Communion to people who are already sick, it makes sense to not take unnecessary chances. I'm just not sure that categorically withholding Sacraments on account of a health scare that hasn't amounted to very much in our part of the "black zone" is the best thing to do.
