I don't know.

It would be good to define "properly" in order for us to help you. What's broken about it? Have you tried another browser and seen the problem go away?

thanks

I use firefox and I have no problem- apart from the posts being added on the top of the page exept from the bottom (as IEXP does). Could your security settings have something to do with it?
Do you have java installed? https://addons.mozilla.org/ lists plugins for Firefox...I would get flashgot at the very least...and adblock! :whistle

Our chat system does not require Java.

Casshern, please state which operating system and browser version you are using, if possible, per Saint Kurt's request. Thank you. :)

I still think you need one or more plugins to make it work- I think I had a similar pronblem at first. I can't quite remember which one solved the problem- but I think flashgot is the most likely candidate- it can't hurt to try...

phpMyChat requires nothing but HTML display. I have Firefox 1.0.7 at home with no plugins or extensions, and it works fine for me.

As you mentioned, chat is inverted, which is an ongoing issue due to workarounds the developers of the chat software tried to put in for browser compatibility instead of using portable code from the beginning. There is a fix that I had put in place, but it seems to break it for other browsers. We're currently looking to implement a better solution.

It sounds like you accidentally set your /show value too low. Please note that by default, only 25 messages will be shown.

If you changed this value to too low of a value, it was saved in a cookie. That is why it works for you on Opera, as they don't share cookies. If you still want to use Firefox, I would first try typing /show 25 and clearing cookies if that doesn't work.
