Chat unaccessable

Database error: Invalid SQL: DELETE FROM c_messages WHERE m_time < 1074360757
MySQL error: 1030 (Got error 127 from table handler)
Session halted.

I just noticed it.

huh, looks like a database table got corrupted.... ok, fixed it. luckily, since it is chat, not like any information will be lost except maybe usernames.... but the corrupted table was the messages table, so that's unlikely.

This happened again, so I went ahead and fixed it. I'll look over the old messages and see if I can figure out what's making chat throw up.

Chat is acting weird, its down now, and the first time it was fixed the screen was often blank and showing us errors, the board is behaving like this as well. >_<

I know. it's the server, hardware, not software, there's nothing we can do. All problems are transient, they go away after a second or two. we've never actually done anything to fix the chat at all recently to my knowledge. it's just that the problem comes and goes on its own. on the board, this means you just have to hit refresh. even if it hit you when you were making a post, your post will still be saved if you hit refresh.

Chat though, nothing I can do to help you.

but our account here expires in February. we may (AGAIN) move to a new host.

I've tried to refresh several times and it doesn't work ;_;

oh... that's a database problem, Bunny will have to fix that. I can't promise it will stay up for very long, though. as i said, we are having a LOT of server based issues lately.

When i try to chat, the box where you put your user name will not let me put in 'luvnightcrawler' entirely...is there any way i can be luvnightcrawler in chat or do i need a shorter nickname?

Alas but Chat is a world of abbreviation and truncation. I would suggest a shorter name simply for the ease of your fellow chatters who will want to refer to you by something shorter than "luvnightcrawler".

Perhaps you can think of a nickname for yourself that still expresses your feelings for the blue guy?

Remember your account in chat is separate from your account on the board so you will be creating a new name for yourself entirely. Good question though.
