Buggy java chat

Post by Slarti »

Got this warning when I tried to check out Java chat after getting a complaint from a user that it wasn't working:
Running this application may be a security risk

An unsigned application from the location below is requesting permission to run: https//chat.nightscrawlers.com/pjirc/
There is the "I accept the risk" option to run it, but I can certainly see how that would be an unappealing option to a potential chatter.

ETA: It loads once you run it, but it's deathly slow.

I think that's because you're accessing https://chat.nightscrawlers.com/. You should just be able to access http://chat.nightscrawlers.com/. The former may cause a problem because I have not purchased an SSL certificate for the site, and do not plan to at this time.

Cheers!

That's the page it goes to when I click the link from the main page.

(Sorry, really late reply:) Do you have any extensions installed like HTTPS Anywhere? The link is coded to go to http://chat.nightscrawlers.com/. There's no way it could go anywhere else without something interfering.
