Nightscrawlers

In my probably-never-to-be-posted fanfic, my OC, Elise, often has a screensaver running which features various X-people as characters in a movie or book; for example:

The Three Musketeers
Starring (imagine pics of them photoshopped to have the big, plumy hats, full sleeves, swords, etc):
Henri McCoy -as- Athos
Logan SansSurnom -as- Porthos
Kurt Wagner -as- Aramis
Scott Summers -as- Cardinal Richelieu
and introducing
Sam Guthrie -as- D'Artagnan

You get the idea.

So I'm stuck for ideas on the seven dwarfs (Disney style); it's a funny concept but I'm not sure who I'd pick. Here's what I have so far:

Doc: Hank or the Professor (duh)
Grumpy: Scott, Jean-Paul, or X-23
Happy: Sam or Kurt
Bashful: Sam or Rahne


I'm needing ideas on the following:
Sleepy
Dopey
Sneezy
Snow White (although I might have her put herself there as the ultimate joke since she's such a tomboy)


Suggestions, anyone? Or for the ones I've already tagged; there might be even funnier ones.

Have at it, troops, and have fun with it.

Wolverine should be Grumpy.

Sneezy - Banshee

Sleepy - Colossus (big guy sleeping effect)

Dopey - Professor X

Hank should be Doc. Professor Xavier isn't cheerful enough.

Professor Xavier also isn't fat enough to be Doc. I agree with Freak. He should be Dopey. Both are bald.

Bobby for Dopey -- perfect! In my fic, he is always annoying Elise, so she would certainly put him as that character. And yeah, Hank is affable so Doc would be good, although my Prof-X is not as cagey and sinister as canon versions.

Banshee for Sneezy is great, too. He's not in my fic much, but I'm so fond of him that I'd better work him in, maybe coming to the Institute on holiday.

Not sure about using Piotr for Sleepy. I get the joke ... I may have to make up some reason for her to target a particular X-person and write a vignette for that.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, and keep 'em coming.

Also, if you want to make up other ones (eg, the cast of "South Pacific" or "Les Miserables" or "Gilligan's Island"), have at it. I am merely inserting them in between stories as sort of lagniappe lunacy.

Sleepy: Rogue (based on the fact that Rogue spends a lot of time in comas in the comics)
Dopey: Shadowcat

I tried to use only very well known X-Men and based my decisions off of this description of the 7 dwarfs from Disney.

On a totally different subject, Kurosawa's 7 Samurai is my favorite Samurai movie (and part of my revolving top 5 films off all time). Because it is so awesome and Nightscrawlers is so awesome, I also have a 7 samarai cast of various Nightscrawlers Staff that I did about 3 years ago:

(For those that haven't seen the film - A description of the 7 samurai characters. The only character description I disagree with is Katsushiro's. I would have gone with: "Young and unproven, but talented and ready to serve." And since these are my lists, that is what I went with. The other descriptions are pretty spot on though.)

Emma is a good choice in general; however, she's not in my fic. I'm very old-fashioned and still have Scott and a normal Jean. Life is too full of cr@p for me to fill my fic with cr@p; I use it to escape the cr@p. I mean, deadly enemies, kidnappings, alien invasions, costumes' jealousy of each other -- fine. I have all that in there. But things I deal with in Real Life: drugs, divorce, murder -- huh-uh.

And nobody dies, either with or without coming back. I had another friend kick off this week, younger than I am. I'm so sick of everybody dying... uh-oh, I'm not only getting morose, I'm getting OT. Sorry.

I hesitate to even bring this'n up as it's almost a religion with me, but how would we cast "The Princess Bride?" And did you guys know there's a cute little game based on it now?

I know, I know. Y'all are all probably going "of COURSE Esy put Rogue. pffft" But I really feel like it's validated... I mean, the woman is angsty drama and piney love bird all at once... Sounds perfect for Rogue to me. though, to be fair, Rogue is much more take charge and take no shit than Buttercup.

I *Love* the idea of Roguey as Buwwercwup. But I see Kurt as Inigo, swordfighting and being, um, stupid and all.

And if Banshee could fake Jewish, he'd be a fun Miracle Max.

But you left out The Albino. C'mon, give it a whirl ...

Howsabout a transgendered Emma as the albino? 'Cept she's way too crafty. I got it: Ice Man. Or you could bleach the Toad. (Actually, I know several albinos, and they aren't that white. But anyway...)

The pirates: Black Panther (a real nobleman to play a nobleman gone wrong), Colossus, Angel, Gambit, Longshot, and, of course, Cannonball.

The Pirate King- Kurt, of course
Samuel, his lieutenant- Wolverine

Major General Stanley- the very model himself, Hank.

Angel is Schroeder, or maybe Colossus.

Thanks, Greenie. I may change Snoopy to Lockheed - that would be something my OC would think of. They are kinda buddies and she would love to tease him, plus she could make Kurt into Charlie Brown, a round-headed kid with pointy ears.
