You heard me.
Fainting Goats
Actually, they don't really "faint" so much as get stiff muscles and fall over.
I'd heard about these guys before but never seen video. I know if I had a farm with these goats I'd be jumping up and down with bright colored flags every time I fed them.

Fainting Goats
They had a show about that on the Animal Planet channel about two years ago...it was very interesting...I think that's why I remember it, but they show footage of the goat just freezing up and falling over when this dude just jumped out at it...I admit it made me laugh the first two or three times they showed the guy jump out, but then I realized that that might not be a good thing...paranoid goat?

I actually have heard of those before – I saw them on some nature show. Nature is weird, innit?
Funny story though, after somebody at Hubby’s office learned about them, she suggested whenever the bosses asked them to do something they all faint. It cracked her up, and was a running joke in the office for weeks. It even spread home, where I would ask Scott a question and he would faux faint onto the floor. It was funny the first couple times. LOL!

how would they evolve such a wierd adaptation? it doesn't seem like a very helpful survival skill.
*OH GOD A WOLF!!*
*falls over*
*wolf walks away disgustedly*

Fainting Goats
Thats probably a close relative to the "sleep disease" wich some people have.
Fainting Goats
Narcolepsy would be something else entirely. It's not that these goats pass out in anyway, but rather that their muscles tense up and they loose the ability to stand. Think cow tipping, but with umbrellas.Originally posted by Casshern
