lesse, i'm 24 years old, an artist and student at Sheridan College... and of course i love Nightcrawler to pieces, or i wouldn't be here!

Wow. Well, this is nifty! I must confess I saw the other board system yesterday and this is MUCH cooler! Great job, guys!

Well, um, I'm, Slartibartfast. I've been on the old forum since it's birth in 2000, and before that I posted on the infamous Wizard World undying thread. But that was under a different name. Shhh...that was a secret.
;)

I'm 26, married and a huge Nighty fan. Aren't we all? I also write fic under the name Saille, and some people know me from that instead of as Slarti.

Ohhh....how I've missed having a decent smilie as my sign-off....

Well, I am Stormwatch, or SW/Stormy if you want.

Names Jacob, and guess what, I'm a Kurt fan. Go figure :shrugs: Although, I really like :Kitty: as well.

I'm 19, single(long story), going into Grade 15 (longer story) and am a freelance writer (one day I will write that story down).

I am originally from X-Fan, and before that, Mutatis Mutandis. So that would be my other hangouts.

Hey everyone.
Ok, I'm MoonbeamDancer, and I've been around since late 2000 I think. One of the resident fanfic writters here, although I'm currently having writters block. I'm 20 years old, live in south Texas, and am in college.

Hi, I'm MabusRex, but you can call me Shirley...I MEANT Ryan! Sheesh. I always get that wrong. ;)

I'm Jill's stalker and I'm a moderator at both X-Fan and comiXtreme. I'm an Archangel and an Abyss fan (hence the websites), but I like Kurt, too.

I'm 22 years old and in Gainesville, Florida persuing a BS in Zoology with a concentration in Microbiology. I've lived in many places along the eastern coast of the US, but I mainly hail from Puerto Rico (my mom's from there too).

Um...that's about it. Oh, *kisses Jill*

BTW, is that Pandora I saw the same as the LM and X-Fan one? If so *waves to Kat and gives her a kiss*

Oh, all that, AND I'm brand new to these parts. Hi all! ;)

All righty-dighty. My turn, I guess. :)

For starters, my name's Theresa, but I also go by Tessa, so use whatever floats your boat. I'm a twenty-year-old originally from Katy, but I'm currently going to school in Denton, TX studying drawing and painting as well as creative writing.

I think I've been around the forum since-- what, September/October/November of last year? I don't recall. But before I had become a member, I remember the first post I ever read on the old board: Slarti's teaser for "Judas' Kiss". I've been coming back ever since. :P

For the moment I call myself ces, but you might recognise me from the Monument as Gnahrf...

Oh, well, my real name is Micke (pronounced somewhat like /meekeh/), but all English speaking types tend to call me Mike after a while.

Hmmm... Right now I'm 21, but I won't update this so check the profile if you want to know for sure. :p I'm studying biology at the moment but I may end up with a degree in Scandinavian languages instead ... perhaps.

Oh, and of course, I love , Nightcrawler, chocolate and tequila! :lick:

I'm 26, male, a graphic designer. Nightcrawler is my favorite character for many reasons and on many levels. In him I see so much of myself and so much of what I'd like to see in myself.

I love to draw, wax philosophic and make people laugh.

Suppose I've lurked long enough and ought to intoduce my self

Post by arctic fox »

Hello there ladies and gentlemen.

My name is Sue and I've been a Kurt fan since 1980.

I've been lurking on the other board for a few months now.

I'm 38 years old (no, you may not call me grandma) very happily single with one adorable 18 year old cat and live in Cheshire, England.

I work as a receptionist and also run a business as an artist and craftswoman, working mostly on wood -
[url=http://www.plokta.com/woodlore/[/url]

I'm mostly a lit sf fan, I run and attend sf cons in the UK, I'm going to be fan guest at Minicon in Minnesota next year and I'm going to Worldcon in San Jose as I am a Hugo nominee - any excuse for a party!

I started to read the Xmen in the early eighties, stopped when Chrissy left and just started picking up the Xmen again late last year.
Kurt has always been my favourite (to the point where two of my friends have done NC costumes in masquerades for me - and have discovered just how fast I can run when given incentive.

I've met Chris Clairmont on lots of occasions (we even swap cards at xmas) so I don't appreciate personal attacks on him - though his writing is not as sharp as it was, I can see that. As a person he is a sweetheart.
Of course, hitting him over the head with the odd bit of bratworst may be occasionaly justified...

I'm not currently getting any other comics apart from A Distant Soil by Colleen Doran and Strangers in Paradise; but I'm sure I will start picking up more - I have boxes of them from the 80's upstairs, I love comics like Mage, Sandman, V, Watchmen, Omaha and Love & Rockets.

I also like bishonen-ai, (pretty boy anime from Japan) cats, foxes, real ale, red wine, canal boating, medieval costuming, English Civil War re-enacting, sf fanzine publishing.
I don't watch much TV but I'm on the computer way, way too much.

And that is proberbly too much info about me!
I haven't got an icon yet as I don't have a scanner and want to draw one, I will mug one of my computer goober friends to scan one at some point, real soon now.

Anyway, look forward to getting to know you all better.
And you must excuse my spelling, which can be, ahem, creative at times!

I am one of the many Pandoras running around out here, my other name is Annika
I am a voice artist and sometimes costume designer from Seattle. I do every thing from Writing fanfic and other fiction to acting in the ren faire circuit. I fell madly in love with Nighty at first peep and
have been a devoted fangirl ever since.
got into this through the infamous wizard thread.I ignore my age as best I can and hope that it doesnt find me :naughty:

I like my secrets.;)and Im kind of shy, but I enjoy making new friend who like the elf.

So, you like bishounen-ai... :smirk: then you must absolutely see Yami no Matsuei (Descendant(s) of Darkness)! And of course you can watch our own bishounen Kurt Wagner! Though he might want to be called a biseinen (unless you watch/read Evolution)...

The cards are no big thing, you meet lots of pros when you've been going to cons for 21 years.
I've got legless in the bar with many a writer (Pratchett, Ian Banks, Neil Gaiman, Alan Moore oh, and so many more!) and fannish conventions, rather than professional meat markets are the place to meet them - all the socialising at British cons goes on in the bar! Even if you are only drinking orange juice.

Haven't heard of Decendents of Darkness, my source for Japanise smut is my friend Helen who gets sent over to Japan quite frequently (to research books on Anime) and she picks things up for me.
Ai no Kusabi is my favourite.

Must get the scanner (which is gathering dust in the front room) hooked up and running, there are some pictures of Kurt you might just... um... appreciate. ;)
I should also work on some G rated ones as well.

Let's see if I can get the URL of my web page to work this time - must get hold of my web guru and get it updated too.woodlore

Just a clarification. I wouldn't say we ever have made *personal* attacks on Chris Claremont. We may tartly criticize some of his current writing and do it colorfully, but that's his professional work -- not him as a human being. I am sure he's a nice guy and I have great respect for a LOT of his work. After all, he IS the reason many of us fell in love with Nightcrawler and the X-Men in general. I do however think he made a poor decision in making Kurt a trainee priest. For that reason we give him the occasional cyber-sausage love tap.

Seriously, ArcticFox, I actually really like Claremont and enjoy most of his writing
He is a fantastic person and the reason that I got into comics. sadly, he also makes me very upset with him at times with some of his decisions and being a cyber drama queen is a hobby of mine.

It's hard to resist thrashing someone who has irritated you with a virtual sausage:D

Chris can write complete and utter bollocks, he can also be a pretetious ass, don't get me wrong on this (are you listening to me, Christopher?) but I am less than enamoured with the internet habit of personal attacks on any pro (or fan, or person) who can't answer back or defend themselves.

As you rightly point out, Slarti, it was his Kurt who first caught our eyes.

Busy bee - hadn't really thought about it but yes, I do have fun weekends and social life.

First weekend of month, ran a sf con in sunny Basingstoke.
Second weekend, visited Mum and went to beer festival, not at same time!
Third weekend, SCA coronation Sat, Civil War muster Sunday.
This weekend, I'll be working on the wood most of the time! But I'm sure some shopping will get fitted in!

I'm currently working on wood like a mad
thing to finish a commision and get stock ready for the artshow at Worldcon.

Anyway, off to bed, :Z

The smileys are adoreable BTW.

I thought I was the matriarch (ie old fart) around here...but arctic fox beats me...though not by much...

Like her, I'm happily single, though I've haven't been a Kurt fan nearly as long. I didn't rediscover comics until 1990...but Kurt was an instant hit with me...and still is (despite the collar...). :D

I live in the balmy climes (though you wouldn't know it at the moment, my fingers are frozen!) of south east Queensland, Australia. I'm currently studying for a degree in Information Technology (and I'm currently in the middle of exams), and work part time for the Alzheimer's Association of Queensland.

In my free time (what's that?) I write fanfics (which I also 'illustrate') and generally mess about on the Internet...which led me here...I also post at X-Fan, but that's under the name Birrirra...which is also my name at FanFiction.Net...
