Help Ange choose her Halloween Costume!

Post by Angelique »

That's right. I've felt unusually indecisive this year about my Halloween costume, which naturally is driving the worthy Mr. Ange nuts. After deciding the wintery weather precluded me venturing out as an evil genie, we were left with two options.

1. The run-over crossing guard can help trick-or-treaters get safely across the street if they're not too scared, that is! This may also serve as a gruesome reminder to drive safely.

2. The zombie hunter- as a contrast to Mr. Ange, who's donning the undead makeup again this year. To tell the truth, I'll be appearing at a lot of zombie walks, signing an anthology of zombie stories, and teaming up one way or another with a zombie. Not being like Bill Murray in Zombieland, I don't feel any particular need to blend in.

But I'll leave this up to you!

IMO you just can't go wrong with a zombie theme.
And with the Walking Dead season 2 starting up, zombie hunters are definitely "in".

Even my own kids are conflicted about this, and I think it's funny how their opinion regarding my Halloween costume reflects their interests. My daughter likes all things theatrical, including costume and makeup effects. My son enjoys tracking and hunting more. So my daughter will say things like, "If you're the run over crossing guard, we can do zombie makeup, fake blood, and paint tire tracks on your clothes. It would be great." Then my son will reply, "But then she'll be a zombie crossing guard, and zombie hunters are cooler."

Well, this poll is too close to call, so I polled some members of my fire department, and it looks like we have a winner...
