Happy Thanksgiving!!

(Even if you are not in the residence of the U.S., we're still thankful for you!)

What is everyone thankful for today?

I'm thankful for friends to be there for me during really bad times.
I'm thankful for hilariously cute 'Scrawlers banners with little Kurt munching on some turkey upside down.
I'm also thankful for music and movies.

I'm thankful for my Tahoe because if not for it, Jaydn and I wouldn't be alive to be thankful for anything.
I'm thankful for hospital nurses (they're helping me a lot today).

I'm thankful for a happy, healthy 5 year old.
I'm thankful that dh is able to walk without crutches for the first time in 3 years.
I'm thankful I was able to find anther job quickly after I lost my job in June and was able to keep our insurance in the face the $266,000 in medical bills for dh's leg.
I'm also thankful for our friends and family who've helped us through the past year.
I am very, very blessed. :)

I am thankful for my husband and children.

I am thankful that my husband found a job, even 'though it is far away and we cannot be together today.

I am thankful that he has a working oven in his apartment, since ours is on the fritz, and he is able to cook our turkey.

I am thankful that we can feast together when my husband comes home this weekend, bearing a fully cooked turkey.

I am thankful that my dog's cancer has not returned.

I am thankful that, so far, we have been able to pay the mortgage on our home.

There's not a lot I'm NOT thankful for. To list it all would be dull.

Oh fine: my awesome job, my DVM degree, my new Buffalo friends, my old friends scattered all over the globe, having a boyfriend, my cool landlord/neighbor, my excellent cats, my speedy fast car, possibly finding a church after 6 long months of hideous mass sampling... And all the other stuff I can't think of.

And I LOOOOOOOVE the banner! Nightscrawlers is, as usual, completely awesome. You made my night.

DIttos on the Spider-man and the totally, outrageously wonderful banner!!

I am thankful that God brought this rebellious, questioning, lame-soulled child back to the Faith.
I'm thankful for my awesome hubby and his crazy kids and all the grandkids, from the one in college to the one just now toddling.
I'm thankful for health, Jeeps, and a big house (okay, it has holes in the floor and walls and ceiling, but it's big).
I'm thankful for having time to pursue my talent in writing, and doing it only for fun without the pressure of having to please strangers with money.
I"m thakful fo recordings of Mahalia Jackson!!

(I would give thanks for being a nanowrimo winner, but false modesty and true common sense precludes that, *snicker*)

It's not Thanksgiving, but I can still be thankful, right?

I'm thankful that my best friend who loves to talk to me about comic books is back in town and it looks like he's here to stay.
I'm thankful for books that I can read again and again and still adore.
I'm thankful for the funny things in life.
I'm thankful that the Oregon College Solar Car Team came down to my town and my little team to talk to us about building our next solar car.
I'm thankful that I get to walk to Barnes and Noble tomorrow to hang around and do my homework.
Heck, I'm thankful for pretty much everything!

RIP Kurt Wagner. You were the character who brought in me into comics, who introduced me and inspired me. Now your death has sent me away again. Wherever you are in the Marvel Universe, I hope its someplace pleasant.
