Had another sonogram and they got the heart images they missed last time. Everything looks good and normal, with no tails, wings or other mutant appendages...

aaaand, they reconfirmed it's pretty definitely a girl, so thank GOD we don't have to return the piles and piles of clothes!

After some scrimping, saving, and the final breakdown and retirement of the Franken-Ford (yes, we name all our vehicles), we are now the proud owners of a very nice, low mileage Suzuki XL-7.

A sewer back-up caused them to shut down the Columbus building today and cancel all classes, which means I don't have painting tonight! It also means I get to watch Bones!

Since I started working, I've been losing weight, which is a wonderful thing. So far for the past 2 months I lost 7kg (15.4 lb), and at this moment, I still need to lose about 20 kg (44 lb), but hey, I don't care, because slowly but surely, I'm getting there.

My first proper day in the cafÃ© was AMAZING. Alright, so I got a phonecall at opening time saying that my boss couldn't come in, meaning I was left running a busy cafÃ© on my own on my first day and not knowing how things worked, but OMFG I loved it.

Even as just a member of the ensemble of my current show (I wasn't originally going to be in the show, but they needed extra people) I was mentioned in the review and I LOVE my two whole sentences!

"Katherine Anthony's grace in movement made her elegant, yet aloof. There was a feeling of lost sensuality and longing to her performance."

My current show is a stage adaptation of the 1962 film Carnival of Souls. It's called Carnival of Souls: Purgatorium and it was adapted to be post-Katrina New Orleans. And I am a lost soul. LOL. YAY! I love my sentences.

they are shooting an advertisement movie for a local coffee brand in my little old narrow street today. It is quite a professional production, and it involves the full christmas atmosphere- trees to hide the parking meters, wraiths on the front doors, and lots of snow coming from two huge cherry pickers. I feel like I'm in hollywood or whatever! All the Jewish boys have come to watch, and I'm excited. Pics later!

And now, because every cloud has a silver lining...

I've finally been given something for the panic attacks and a formal diagnosis of chronic social phobia. The pills are amazing - I haven't been this much on a level ever - and I'm not even freaking out so bad despite the fact I'm throwing up (which is a massive thing, as my OCD makes me intensely germaphobic and vomiting is like...the manifestation of everything ick about illness). They're putting up the dose because though I'm doing well, I could be doing better and starting on a 2-3yr course of intensive psychiatric therapy - they reckon I should be able to come off the drugs in 6 months, if all goes well

The only problem with this is the fact that I'm going to have to talk about my past in depth again

But hey, if it gives me my life back, I don't care

Yesterday was a tiring but astounding day (for the most part). My inlaws came down and helped us around the house. Sooo, the bathroom tub replacement is now complete aside from a bit of caulking, the baby's room is painted and the cartoon fishy border paper is up, we used their truck to get crown moulding for the baby's room AND after getting into yet another fight with Scott Friday night about us getting new carpeting, I decided to take the fight public. >> I told his parents we had never gotten back to them on their offer to buy us new carpet because he felt it was charity. They set him straight, and now we're FINALLY moving forward on getting new carpet!! We soooooo, so need it after two incontinent dogs and 20 years of wear and tear.

We even have carpet swatches at home today to pick out what we want.
