Scum, I am so glad this has happened. This is splendid news and I can safely say that I am relieved to hear my friend from afar is catching a break.

If I may, can I now send you that package? I have held back for awhile out of fear they may charge you for delivery. I'm not sure how shipping works across the "pond".

I am now an officially certified emergency medical technician. Today I passed my NREMT practicals.

Tomorrow, I go to "jail" to raise money for kids with muscular dystrophy.

Debt #1, down and paid. Bailiffs paid off, not going to lose my stuff or my flat.

Debts #2 and #3 will hopefully be paid tomorrow, once pup's reassured the bank that yes, that much money IS meant to be in the account and yes, that much IS meant to be coming out at once XD We might have given the bank a bit of a heart attack...

So, I take digital design, which is all photoshop stuff. It was my last class today.

...Power goes out, and there's a cry of "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" from the entire class because they hadn't saved.

Why this is in the astounding thread? I wasn't working on anything, so I didn't lose anything.

In just the course of a couple of months, one of my favorite priests and two of my son's best friends will be moving far away. This would go in the other coffee thread, except for one thing- we throw fantastic going-away parties here. I'm on my way to one now with a guitar, fiddle, and a pan of peanut butter brownies.

Got promoted yesterday to Manager which means a raise (yay!) and today had a rockin' audition and went to the warehouse sale that my comic store was having. Walked away from that with 6 long boxes full of comics and 1 more long box mostly full with a BUNCH of lose action figures (and one still in the box) filling up the last 1/4. Also got a couple of 'special edition' big action figures (a mystique for myself and a storm for Jaydn. b/c we all know i'd never buy it for me) and a large wolverine doll that looks like he's wearing a super-space-warrior-machine-outfit-thing for Jay. And the best part? All of this for $30!!! How? well, at the sale, they had a random long box for 10 bucks, fill your own long box for 30 bucks, action figures for anywhere from $1-$5 each, and a raffle where you could get 5 random long boxes. raffle tickets 2 bucks each. Won the raffle (woot), and they decided to mark the random long box from 10 bucks to 5 bucks, so got one of those. and they marked down the fill your own from 30 to 20. they had a deal also, randomly, grab a long box of toys for 20 bucks. they let me fill my one long box with the comics that i wanted and shove as many toys as i could in the end. so... 20 bucks for my long box, 5 bucks for the random long box, 2 bucks for my raffle ticket, and a buck a pop for the larger dolls. Today was like Christmas!

So, I studied for my econ final yesterday, and I looked over everything this morning before the test. I felt pretty good about it. Checked my grades right before lunch... D-

The only reason this is in this thread and not the other is that it averaged my F out to a D, so I passed the class.

This is extremely unimportant in the grand scheme of things, but I lost something important and after ravaging the house, found it. Good ol' St. Anthony!!! Also, in my pillaging of the domicile I achieved quite a bit of de-cluttering (which I haven't worked on much last couple weeks, too much else happening) so I feel a little more pseudo-in-control.
