Been having more chances to sing in small situations (church, folk jam sessions, etc), which is fun, esp since the boy who plays piano at the hospital chapel is a dear heart and plays a bit like Ray Charles.

Haven't been bitten by the Parrot in quite a while. Close calls, but no bandages required. :>

My stepdaughters want to go on a Girls' Night Out with me (not s/t I'd normally like if it were with friends, but it would be fun to spend time with my kids).

I'm working today. That in itself is a bit of ass, considering where I'm working, but at the same time it's a win because hey...at least I get money

Also, new and highly nessecary item comes through the post in the next few days, though I have a horrible feeling it'll be too small (easily exchanged, just have to wait another 10-20 days

) but it'll make my life so, so much nicer.

I got made stage manager for a popular burlesque show today :3 also have been handed a list of agents for acting/stage-managing/directing AND been invited to a guild of actors ^^ so yeah.

On top of being made a stage manager yesterday, today there was no useless stress-inducing director at rehearsals, which meant we ACTUALLY GOT STUFF DONE and didn't end up being stressed at the end of the day (always good, especially for me right now ^^) AND we decided as a cast, because we got on so well together, that we were going to do another show after we've done this one.

Good point about this 1) It's the Rocky Horror Picture Show ^^

Good point about this 2) Me and my beloved, Pup, have got the leading roles of Brad and Janet.

Good point about this 3) Useless director LOATHES RHPS so won't want to be involved! (She's never actually seen it. She just doesn't like it. Go figure.)

So wheeeee!!

Sounds so fun! Of course, I'm too prudish to enjoy that

but I hope you two will enjoy it. Our local off-off-off-Broadway-type company (we call it "The Tolerant Theatre" b/c everything they do tries to push the envelope) did it once but I didn't get to see it.

I guess this is a piggyback astounding coffee because I am sooo happy to see something going right for our dear Scummy.

(If I ever rewrite last year's Nano, I'll send you the last chaptre. One of the main characters comes out when he shows up at RHPS dressed as Magenta.)

I love it when families don't treat home health aides like nothing more than "the help." My workday included not just the usual housekeeping and home health stuff, but movies, board games, and letting someone cook for me for a change! (Not that I mind cooking at all....)
