I went and got my scheduled changed for next semester, so I won't have world lit/comp. Instead, I'll have another art class.

And running back and forth as a roadie to a couple of forgetful little musicians and helping one who kept forgetting where he needed to go to plug in his guitar was well worthwhile today.

Elly played beautifully in the string orchestra, and when they brought the rock band and all the guitar students out, Ian absolutely rawked on "Run, Run, Rudolf" and "I am Santa Claus" (aka, Iron Man on Egg Nog).

I got to work this morning, (early, which smacks of ass coffee) and checked my email, only to discover I had a message from my childhood best friend who I haven't seen/heard from in 20 years! Holy crap!

I'm spending Christmas at my grandparents! I'm so excited -- I'm here now and I've been remembering how much I love to talk with them and listen to their absolutely awesome stories about the people they know and the places they've been.

One small downside -- a nearly non-existent internet connection. So for the most part, I will be gone -- but don't worry, I will finish the fic!

a Stella! Sweeeet...Ah, and Vespa don't make them like they used to anyway. As for me, I'm a bit torn-I love the proper winter weather we're having here but I hope the snow clears up enough before tomorrow noon so I can drive my car and go to my mom's birthday party...

Third time's the charm! My dad and I finally saw Avatar. We both were awesomed and it was absolutely worth the wait. The experience was much less watching a movie as it was witnessing a dream captured on screen.

...hey, maybe I failed again to see it, and only dreamt that I did, while I'm actually lying unconscious in some ditch on the way to the cinema.

My kids did very well in the school production of "A Christmas Carol." And Elly had way too much fun in her role as Jacob Marley. She insisted on the full "dead" makeup, too.

Sometimes I get the idea that we're the school's own Addams Family, but I don't mind.
