Still no electricity.

Also, I'm not doing too well. Got to talk to girlfriend. Not feeling too happy about it. Updates later when she gets out of work.

The decision is hanging in the air, neither of us want to grab it, but both of us are clueless for another option.

Just lost a bit of writing I had been doing since about 8:30 until now. Am not happy in the least about this as it had been going *perfectly* and then the browser decided to crash.

And this is why I'm now getting my work computer a decent browser as well.

The car quit.

My Intuos4 graphics pad, the love of my artistic life, one of my most prized possessions and something I was using to help me get through all the shit I'm going through at the moment...isn't working.

I am awake before 10 AM, Matt stepped on my foot... that's attached to my bad ankle, went to get dressed and realized I'd grabbed one of his shirts instead of my own, went to go look for one of my shirts, realized I didn't have any clean, couldn't find the hat I wanted, and lost the bathroom so I couldn't brush my teeth when I have a dentist appointment later. Realized on the way to work with Matt that I have a clean shirt that was hanging in front of my face the whole time this morning, and now I'm at work with sore toes.

Thanks, guys. She's okay. Thank God he didn't get her eye, and I think he was mostly trying to do the 'warn away' snap instead of an attack.

But yeah, Xander... I dunno. We've had him for eight years, since he was a puppy. He's jealous, but we'd been trying to give him attention too. He's been weird the last few days anyway, so we're gonna talk to the vet tomorrow after the holiday.

I'm afraid I almost did him in with my own bare hands I was so mad... That kind of scared me as badly as him biting her.

Popped my pen out of my tablet today to draw, and it broke into three pieces. I have no idea why. Then, I go to get the super glue, and when I open it, it starts shooting out all over the place. I spend the next half hour unsticking the pen from my hand and keeping my cat from sticking herself to the table.

I'm back from DragonCon and I caught one of those horrendous convention spread plague things. But that's not really bugging me because I had a really good time and I feel it was worth it.

I'm worried about Kiley and Xander. I'm glad Kiley's okay, but I probably see a dog/kid adjustment case about once a week and it's always tough. People bond with there pets so strongly I've come to consider it some kind of supernatural glue, but the deep protective instinct a parent has for their children is equally mysterious and maybe more powerful. Having incidents where a beloved and loyal pet is threatening a child pits the two against each other and it's never easy.

Definitely talk to your vet (and you can talk to me too if you want), but consider a behaviorist too if necessary. Sometimes having a person who can watch the interactions between the family, child, and pet can help fine tune things and make a big difference. I've referred folks to veterinary behaviorists several times in cases like this and it's always a good feeling to see the fractured relationship between a dog and their family rehabilitated.

I always like a happy ending so I hope things go well there and let me know if I can help in any way.

Boss called in to cancel all of her court appearance since she believes what she had has moved on into pneumonia...and I finally caught what she had so have been spending my day spraying down everything in the office and, well, not too much else since everything was cancelled.
