The iron in my blood is practically non-existent. Now I'm on icky tasting tablets to bring it up. My doctor says I can remain vegetarian, though, so at least nothing has to die to make me better...

But on the bright side...I'm safe from random Magneto freezing-a-person-in-their-tracks attacks

Make sure you're taking a good brand or they won't do much of anything at all. Liquid form (yes it's nasty) is the best. I can't manage that so I take the floradix tablets. They are coated and work better than 'drugstore' brands. Health food stores are the best place to get your vitamens and minerals.

My daughter has the same problem, even 'though she does eat meat, I guess just not enough. She takes Twinlab iron vitamins, which we found in a Health food shop recommended by the doctor. He also suggested she eat lots of spinach.

I'm taking what the doc prescribed...and I have to take it on an empty stomach with orange juice 'cos the vitamin C helps the body absorb the iron...or something...

Spinach has a lot of iron in it, but apparently it's hard for the body to absorb it before...well...it's not in the body anymore. I'm eating a lot of tofu, beans and nuts...with lots of fruit juice...so I guess people better stand down wind

Gotta do that for a month...then go for another blood test...

Thanks to the idiot who decided to throw a beer bottle out of a car window, leaving shards of glass all over the sidewalk, one of the dogs I'm looking after is in emergency surgery.

They throw those beer bottles around here down by this bridge where people fish and take their dogs to swim. My dog got a huge cut in her pad from the glass one time. Thank goodness I got the bleeding to stop and she didn't need stitches.....but I HATE those guys who do that!

Well, other than a deep laceration that called for stitches, thick bandages, pain meds, antibiotics, $150 to the vet, and a few days of rest and quiet (yeah, very likely for a hyper Westy-Yorkie mix!) my mother-in-law's dog will be all right.

I bought a new facial cleanser that's supposed to help kick ass on my blackheads. Unfortunately IT STAINED MY SKIN BLACK. It took me putting on another cleanser and using another soap to get it off.

And this morning? I apparently missed a patch.

I had the worst sleep in my life, stomach pain from my stomach's sensitivity to spicy food, nothing to eat at school today, and in choir we did " the warm fuzzies" for the seniors who are leaving.

I haven't cried at school since the third grade. The one time I do (today) it's in front of fifty people, with everyone watching me and listening to what I say, and my best friend is going to college IN GEORGIA.

Today sucked hardcore.

Reported back to work after two weeks of jury duty to find out that my position at work was eliminated. Fancy way of saying I lost my job.
They will keep me on the payroll for the next 90 days while I look for another job inside the company, so at least I'm not on street just yet. But I'm not too hopeful.
Anways - yeah - life sucks right at this moment.
