Speaking of which, do Kiwi Black, NC, and Nils ever find out they're siblings?

Kurt's father's origin is almost dead on with my concept – even to the point of him being one of the Watchers. It just made sense. Kurt is the only mutant to manifest a different appearance from birth. Also his mutant power had no relation to his appearance.

My story however was that as the union of angel and mutant, Nightcrawler was the key to mutant spiritual salvation. Up until now, all mutant souls were in Purgatory (fitting of Catholicism). Kurt would restore the covenant between God and mutant by having bore a human offspring with a human woman – as Christ was to humans, but Kurt’s offspring would have no mutant abilities. He would simply be the union.

Further Angel text

I have the following entry for Azaz'el from "The Encyclopedia of Angels"
Chief of the Watchers. God Blamed Azaz'el for the Watchers coming to earth and teaching humankind the secrets of Heaven. Azaz'el taught humans the art of making knives, swords, shields and breastplates. He taught women to use jewelry and cosmetics. Because of this God had Raphael bind him and throw him into an abyss in the desert in Duda'el. Boulders were thrown on top of him. His face was covered so that he could not see the light. In the occult, Azaz'el is a demon. In Juadaic lore, it was Azaz'el who refused to bow down to Adam, whom God had placed above the Angels.

Whew that's a lot of text. Good source texts on the Watchers are really not in the Bible where I think the only reference to them and their offspring is in Genesis. The Books of Enoch have great stories of the Creation and the structure of Heaven. I am sure it is online somewhere. I have this book: "The Other Bible"Cheers!

I just had a brainspurt!! :die

Is it possible that Azazel could be a mutant playing at being a demon?

Think about it for a moment; Kurt is referred to as a "demon" by hundreds of people. Is is possible that Azazel finally gave up saying, "No! I'm not, I'm just a mutant," and agreed with them to a point where he believed it?

It really doesn't make sense to me that Azazel is a demon, :? because if he was, wouldn't that make Kurt a half-mutant? I agree with you Siona, maybe Azazel is just a little mental. Kurt in the church scene (in the movie) was screaming at Storm and Jean that he was a "Messenger of the devil," so perhaps Azazel just thinks he's a demon...

If you mean the scene in X2, he was doing that do drive them away. I figure that, seeing them in uniforms, he was mortified that police were coming to lock him away.

Dang.
I see no Problem that our Azzy is the orginal Azazel. When we remeber the digging on la Isla Demonas we see the Graves of anicient Mutants and they where Pretty old.
So we also do remeber ther fact when natural Tribes (or anicient peeps) be confrontated with Technic or people that they dont understand - these peeps grows in the Myst to gods.
So when Azazel is pretty old and came from a place what was *higher* civilsiad than the peeple he met some else, and when he teach them about making swords or such and someone( May a guy from his culture) banned him so could probaly happend that the (mostly human) Azzy grow to a angel demon or such in the story of the tribe. I dont see any reason why he must be a demon. (Far away from the fact that our picture of a demon comes from the medival ages. THey make such a appearience to a devlish or demonic one because they try the peeps the old gods(like pan are evil)
Far away from this: If i would be Azzy I would proberly fool around with the clichee;).

Ooooh....

All right!! The Azzy concept is really growing on me now. It looks like Kurt has got a lot of siblings if #429 is anything to go by! :eek I like how Kurt is the only known one with fur though. :) For those who may know more than me, are any of Azzy's known kids red? :? Just from pictures I've seen, all of them appear blue or black, and I was wondering if that's because Azzy has a thing for blue and black girlfriends or it's just a trait that happens.

The red thing could be a very recessive trait. Note how Mystiqe was blue, then her son was blue, and all of Kurt's kids (alternate reality or not) were blue. It seems that the color blue is a very dominating trait in mutant genes.

I admit...when I first read the Azazel thing I was like. "Nooo.. Chuck is ruining my favorite character!" as well I don't like demons. But I let it grow on me before posting here about it. Then it's growing on me. Dave Cockrum did say the original idea for our favorite blue boy was a character like Demon in DC. so now I look forward to finishing it:)

Sorry the last two are dark, I had to take the pics with a camera and the flash was too bright.

I have one more question and then I'm done: What was he using for his disquise? Paint? Some kind of hologram? I know it doesn't say, but what would be your best bet?

Thanks a whole bunches, Gaz!! :kiss

I was wondering the same; this was YEARS before Kurt was born (he turned 21 in Uncanny #20-something, so I hear...), so the hologram-watch couldn't have been around.

In X2, didn't Kurt used paint? The moment he peers around the corner behind two CIA dudes, you can see pasty stuff on his chin. Possibly Azzy did the same?

Azzy...man, not even five issues, and he has a silly nickname. :LOL

Aw man, it would suck to be Kurt. He spends most of his life trying to convince people that he's not demon spawn, only to find out that he is. I think he's going to need a hug after he finds out.

I'm still wary about the subject, but I have faith that Austin will pull this off well.
