The Marvel Cinematic Universe is just the beginning - talk Marvel on the big screen, small screen and everything in between. DC Cinematic Universe and independent comic creations are welcome, too - The Walking Dead, Preacher, etc.

A long time ago...when we hung out at the monument...I suggested body shaving as a way to give the movie Kurt a bit of a different look...but at least that would grow back!

and yes, i am dreading what his portrayal in the movie will do to his perception by the general public, and his portrayal in the comics. i am convinced that his appearances in TAS contributed a great deal to him becoming a priest.

the up side is, Austen will have done whatever it is he means to do to Kurt regarding his religion before the movie hits theaters. if he has him renounce his religion, there is no way they'd have him go back so soon afterwards, movie or no. and by the time such a move is deemed ok by editors or whatnot, movie influence will have died down.

could the death of fellow team members cause Nighty to denounce his religion? There's something to chew on...

Faith is cool, I like that he has faith, it's just the pilgrim bit that I hate so much :yell::yell::yell::yell: Beeing a Priest makes him a different 'person', to me he can have faith and not be such a dark moody character, or he having faith SHOULDn't make him such a moody character!!

But for what I've been reading from Uncanny 410 we just got our swashbuckler :? back! :D:D:D:D (I haven't read it though).

I love the fact that he's religious, that makes his character interesting, but not everyone who's religious becomes a priest. That's my beef. "Oh! I love God, I'm going to become a priest!" Didn't have to go that far.

I agree. Religious Kurt = Good. Faithful Kurt = Good. Brooding Angsty Religion-is-Everything Kurt = Summer Sausage Beatings.

Goth Kurt would rock. i have actually been doing character designs for a televison show called Goth Girl... now i want to put him in some of the costumes i designed for some of the guys  there are different types/scenes among Goths, i think he'd be more of a romantic Goth, into the whole vampire scene, clothes like long trench coats, very stylish. not so much the fishnets and suchlike.

oh, i so have to draw a pic...

I think having him quit the priesthood is a must, but renouncing his faith completely wouldn't be such a good idea, imho. The problem with the priesthood isn't his faith, it's that it's taken to an unnecessary extreme. Having him toss out his faith altogether would just be going the opposite extreme.

About the Wiccan thing, I've thought about that too. I mean Kurt actually knows two practicing witches in his family.

There really isn't any way he should have been allowed in the priesthood.
Cardinal: "So, tell me about yourself."
Kurt: "Well, I'm a demonic looking mutant, that is I'm an advancement in evolution you see. Both my adoptive mother and adoptive sister (whom I've had pre-marital sex with, by the way), are both practicing demonic sorceresses. I'm part of an outlaw, vigilante group with whom I've traveled the world and gone to other dimensions including a few versions of Hell and Limbo. I've been to other planets and met alien races older than mankind, I've encountered God-Like Beings and even, actual demons and I've been to a place where dinosaurs still exist. So, where do I sign up to teach other people Catholicism?

Lmao! Good point!:smirk: However you did forgot to mention the fact that he murdered his own brother (albeit quite unintentionally).:P Actually, I do think it may be possible for someone with that sort of history to enter into priesthood (after quite a number of hail Mary's;)).
Anyway, It would kick booty imo if Nighty was Wiccan! They'd have to do it realistically however (better than the whole priest ordeal:rolleyes: ). As he's never given any indication that he's interested in that religion, it Would be quite difficult to make it flow. One thing I think a lot of people don't remember though is that there was quite a bit before Kurt's Catholocism really entered into things. If you think about it, it is a fairly new developement.

Kurt as a wiccan would be wiggy. I can just imagine him making potions out of herbs and dancing naked in the moonlight during the summer solstice. :P

I reckon he's more likely to be kicked out than leave...there's some woncerful arguments above for that...though most past deeds are forgiven when they take their vows (like the fornication bit)...I can't see them turning a blind eye on the Thou Shalt Not Kill bit...

Beyond Stefan, I'm not sure, but when he was comforting Cecilia after she spiked that Neo, he said he knew how it felt to kill...so he must be habouring feelings about killing somebody!

I believe it was unintentional. I just don't see how Kurt could purposefully murder anyone, let alone his own brother. Unless of course he had no other choice. He's certainly not a cold blooded killer in any case.

What is? I don't see:( I'm even less observant when I'm hyper!:P
Oh do you mean how there's like only that one teensy little bit about how he's filming the movie and nothing juicy? Yeah that's definitely frustrating!:dead:

I am a semi-recovering Goth (I live in a small town where they throw beer bottles at people who are different) and not only am I hot for Trenches, but a swashy-gothy Kurt would be sweet.

just bought these kickin' goth boots with a lot of little silver buckles that maybe I'll wear to the X2 premmy.

On a different topic...if they make Kurt with all of these "Ritual-scars" or what ever, I hope to GOD that it doesn't carry over into the comic *shudder*

In one version he knocked Stefan down and Stefan's head hit a rock.
In another, Stefan used Kurt's tail to hang himself.
So neither way did Kurt kill on purpose.

But Kurt is the kind of person who'd feel guilty either way.
