Only manga so far. I nearly got to whole collection of Sailor Moon manga comics, starting on Dragon Ball Z. Anyone know where I can get some X-Men graphic novels?
Movie 'Crawler Update
i LOVE DBZ! maybe you have to pick some comics to get some info and with this avoid future sausage beatings you can start by picking the "Essential X-men" compilations for a classic review.
Movie 'Crawler Update
Well, the Ultimate X-Men are in graphic novels now. I just saw volume one somewhere in Tower Records. Love that place!

If you're looking for any sort of comics, the best place to go is a "comic store" (which I assume you've thought of).
Unfortunately, some places are not blessed with the presence of a "comic store" (such as my home town :-( ) The next best place I would suggest is E-Bay.... sometimes you can get them cheaper there, but watch out because some people definitely overprice....
but I just recently got a whole bunch of Graphic novels (including "God Loves, Man Kills" -- which I understand is the basis for the X2 movie) for under ten bucks, so it's definitely worth checking out!!!!

Interesting...
I was looking through the 'Least Favourite X-Men' thread over at X-Fan...Kurt got a few votes, mostly because of the collar...but it's amazing how many said they're sick to death of Wolverine...and they're focusing X-Men 2 on him? Could be a mistake...

well, I'd say that a majority of the posters here are at least a LITTLE biased ;-)
Wolverine can be a great character, although I think he's been spread waaaaay too thin as of late..... but I must admit that after the first X-Men movie, I wanted adamantium claws (you shoulda seen me walking around clenching my fists, hoping they'd pop out, lol)
Seriously, though, that's what a good movie does.... it makes the audience suspend their disbelief, if even for a moment. And despite Storm's bad line, I think it [the first X-Men movie] did that very well. Even if it was catered to the masses, if it gets people in to watch the X2 movie and walk out of the movie saying "Wow, that blue dude was awesome! Did you see the way he just disappeared and stuff?!?!? We should check him out!!!" then, well..... so be it! ;-)

yep! if people are intrigued enough to check out the comics after X2 this will be really cool would have been cool last movie too, but the 'reboot' of the comics came too late. i'm not talking moviefying the costumes... but after the first movie, things were way too convoluted for new readers, and with characters that were not in the movie. correct me if i'm wrong, but Cyke wasn't even around! many who came to the books after the movie probably simply got discouraged because they didn't know enbough to follow the story and gave up. hopefully try numer 2 will have better results! :
the books are now being written in several styles without the hinderance of relying on years of back history, and most importantly characters from the movies are in the books prominently!
Uncanny's got : : : and : so if Nighty and Iceman are a hit in the movie, well big sales boost there, and it is the reason Nighty's origin got pushed back till the summer, so they have a jumping on point with a character in the movie. see, they're planning ahead this time! :p
New has : :cyke: : and : not as big a push as Uncanny because they have no new characters, or like Iceman, characters getting a much bigger role... but still none too shabby
X-Treme : and : hmmm.... this one may not fare quite so well in terms of movie related sales boosts. Rogue is nothing like movie Rogue, and to top it off, she is with Gambit. so people not already familiar with the characters may be confused by that. oh well, can't win em all
