There was a Sentinel in X3, granted it was a Danger Room simulation but still. The official Trask site states the Sentinels were decommissioned in 1996 (During the original timeline) then after X3 they were recomissioned.

It can't be just before X2 because Logan had grey hair and there was a lot of futuristic technology such as holographic clocks and the redesigns for Cyclops' glasses.

I can see the argument. Especially 'cause Rogue/Bobby are together and not Kitty & Bobby, ... but Kitty is teaching. So... I would have to say the timeline has been repaired (Logan's not dead, DoFP's cast is not all dead, though many don't show up in the end... so they may or may not re-appear).
Presumably it has been repaired and altered (Cyke & Jean are alive, Beast is teaching not serving in Congress, Kurt was nowhere to be seen and Kitty's teaching).

I am very interested to see what "timeline" they use, but if this really is a full Star Trek, they should've never showed the same cast of the original members... unless the next film a prequel to THEM and it's about THEIR formation. But that seems hackneyed and pointless... why introduce the awesome Fassbender/MacAvoy dynamic and toss it away? I realize McKellen/Stewart are incredible/born for their roles, but they are getting super old.

So either the next movie eradicates those characters... or the purpose for them... or it's a prequel to an alternate universe, a movie we haven't seen... and it would take place in the 80's 'cause Gambit is supposed to show up and... Wolverine Origins... Okay see, now I'm confused.

See what I mean though? It's better to say this scrubbed all of it and start fresh than try to reason around it. Especially if this Singer controversy yanks him off the project completely. Last thing we need is another Ratner-flick.

.... Can I get a what-what for a Del Toro X-Film with storyboards/designs by Mignolia? Especially for Apocalypse...

Anyone else surprised Essex's name isn't even dropped in this latest flick? DoFP... could've made sense to have Dr. Essex working on Sentinels or his name on files for the mutant experiments... Makes me wonder if they plan on using him...
