A knife... that would be slightly more menacing than the gimp fist.

or if you read that script review at AICN, he has a knife, is about to stab the president when the knife is shot out of his hand. maybe that is what has just happened and he is looking up at the shooter.

Just a random makeup thought: I wonder if they can put some kind of fixative on full-figure makeup like his and Rebecca's (ESPECIALLY Rebecca's), or does it get all over everything? Talk about lipstick-collar--! (Oh, and maybe ANOTHER argument for making the coat gray, instead of canvas-white.)

Reading a review of the script is where I got the idea from. His knife is suppose to have a ribbon at the end that reads "mutant freedom now."

I often wondered that myself...

Probably why they wear mostly dark colours...so they can't see where Alan and Rebecca grab anyone...
