Ultimate Nightcrawler's return

so.... it's been heavily rumored that Ultimate Nightcrawler will be returning sometime in the next few issues, and not only that, but joining the X-Men. just thought i'd start a thread for everyones hopes for him being on the team

personally, now that Kitty is in Ultimate, i think it is a must that they develop thier relationship. be it as just friends or something more, it doesn't matter. in my opinion, Kitty and Kurt go together! but how to introduce them....hmmm... fear? friends straight off? can't really have the big brother kinda thing going on sicne they are so close in age here. infact, i think they are both 14 (tho you wouldn't know it by looking at his pic.. *drool...* that's the best looking body on a 14 year old i've ever seen!)

Kurt is a much darker character than his 616 self, but he demonstrated he still has a heart of gold. i wonder how much of his personality will transfer over , though? in his previous apeparance, he didn't get a *whole* lot of panel time, and he couldn't speak english at all so his telepathic conversation with jean, and Quicksilver's translation at the end were the only times we got to hear him talk... and from that, we didn't learn TOO much about him... jsut, he's 14, German, grew up in a circus, and had a bit of a crush on Jean, and hated Cyke.

which reminds me, we need more of him and Cyke together that was TOO funny! right from the time he whacked Cyke with a frying pan to when they were paired together on that mission, it was incredibly funny. atleast i thought so. Nighty hated him!

: i can't figure out if he just thought he was an idiot or was jealous of Scott and Jean.

and speaking of Jean, that brings me to my final rambling on the subject. in Ultimate X-Men #22, Jean has a delusion of a lot of little blue demon guys with spade tipped tails and glowing yellow eyes attacking her. wouldn't it be kinda cool in a sad sort of way if she flips out when she sees him again for the first time because of this? she was the only one he could talk to at the Weapon X complex, and i think he had a crush on her. he'd probably be crushed if she reacted to him with fear because of her... ah... problems... and mistakes him for another delusion.

I think Kurt was mostly just frustrated and annoyed with having to work with Scott, even though they couldn't understand eachother.

I think the frying pan was just the quickest (and funniest) way of knocking Scott out he could think of.

Crap, now I have to go and catch up via Dot Comics. I stopped after the Nightcrawler arc. I really like Ultimate, but it was new and I aready get like 5 different titles regualrly, so can't afford to pick it up too.

ok, maybe hate is a bit strong, but i still say Kurt didn't exactly think highly of Cyke. it's not like he'd ever try to hurt him or let him come to harm, but that doesn't mean he likes him a whole lot. it would add some interesting tension if he and Cyke don't like eachother, and in a funny way too

and Hsu, you wont like to hear this, but they stopped the dot comics after issue 18...

I hate it when that happens. You get 3 issues of a comic and after reading them you find out there's a part 4 and it can't be found.

I don't really think anyone but Jean and Xavier think highly of Cyke...and, honestly, I think that X may be ACTUALLY screwing with Jean's head in this instance...kinda like Beast thought he was with Storm. Sounds kinda like a Millar twist to me.

And when Kurt comes back I want some NC/Beast screen time, dammit!

He seemed very concerned about Cyke when Wraith was threatening to implode his skull. He was helping Cyke up and generally being rather attentive. I thought it was cute.

So Jill, what's the evidence that he's set to return? I've been keeping an eye on that book in the hopes that he would...

Just read UXM #414, and Kurt seems to be more like he oughta be. I'm really, really really curious as to Dave's thought about how Mark Millar and Chuck Austen are handling Nightcrawler. (Not so much about the art, we all know who does Kurt best, Wehr nicht?)

If Northstar exists as such a pompous arse just to evoke that much humor - he's valuable. (Wait until he tries that act with the Stepford Cuckoos - heh heh ).

Actually, everyone is darker in Ultimate, Kitty was sneaking out to a rave when she was first introduced. but one of the funnier things i think is in ultimate is that Blob pretends to be a bulimic supermodel and flirts with beast on the 'net. beast has no clue.

Having now seen the preview pages for the next issue, I don't think Kitty's gonna have a problem with Kurt's looks when she first meets him...hank's don't bother her and he's just as freaky looking (in a good way) as Kurt is...

Yarg! I went to Borders today and found out that (GASP!) they carry issues of comics ( not just graphic novels ). so if Dto Comics is discontinuingUlt., I'm running over to Borders.
