Let's say Kurt and Remy were to get into a huge fight (let's say over Rogue, since, technically, she is Kurt's sister). Who would win, between Kurt's teleportation and agility and Remy's kinetically charged throwing cards and agility?

Well, they'd be pretty evenly matched. I'd tend to say Kurt (obviously I'm a fan) but also he could bamf out of the way of the playing cards. That trick might wear old in a bit, and I'm not sure of Gambit's agility as compared to Kurt's (I'd tend to say Kurt is faster). Interesting thought.

I would say that Nightcrawler would win hands down. The ability to port rapidly around someone and get in multiple punches from different angles is way better than throwing crap.

Honestly they really don't make NC as bad ass as he should be. Every once in a while he pull something cool and you have to wonder why he doesn't do that a lot.

Also I reccomend checking out Gambit #1

Well, he could grab Remy, and before it would occur to him to charge up, Kurt could port him sick, like he did with Vertigo.

I'd like to see a proper NC/Gambit fight. The winner probably depends on the environment. As long as Remy has got something to grab and charge up (does he ever run out of cards?) I'd bet on a draw.

Nightcrawler, definately. Unless Remy has been secretly spying on Kurt and knows some chinks in his abilities. :rolleyes
Nightcrawler has around seven superpowers (flexibility, teleportation, blend into darkness etc) whereas Gambit has one. The fight would be magnificent to watch, though.:D

Gambit couldn't stand up to the teleporting unless he got really lucky.

A much better fight would be Nightcrawler vs. The Orphan (aka Mr. Sensitive). Well, maybe not. Orphan would sense the implosion/explosion and nerve pinch Nightcrawler right out. Nevermind.

actually this thread can be a lot of fun, i vote we open it up and re-name it the "who can get their rear kicked by Nightcrawler" thread ... i was going to call it something else but my brain melted.

and Nightcrawler would definitely hand Gambits cajun rear to him, yes definitely,
"Mr Sensitive" or whatever he's called would be a bit more difficult but he could always bamf around him in an enclosed space and sulfur-gas him to death :P

I'm not a fan of friends fighting friends, but just out of interest who do you think would win in a fight between Nightcrawler and Storm? I vote Crawler. (Sorry to come off-topic but yeah, you should re-name it- this most certainly could be alot of fun... :naughty)

Well, actually, I think NC and Storm are a bit more evenly matched. That would be a tough battle. I might even call that one a draw.

Storm and Kurt? Wow, tough.....it might depend on who tires out first. He could probably avoid most of her attacks by 'porting away from them, but he might get to weak to continue and she could get him.:XOn the other hand, he could bamf behind her before she even has a chance to muster up a good cloud and do the teleport frenzy thing. :evil

But then if he grabbed her from behind there is a possibility she could electrocute him or something...

Who says Nighty has to use violence to defeat Storm?

I think intelligence would figure a lot in any battle.

Therefore Kurt would deff. win against Gambit. (Raow for the catty coment, sorry)

But experiance would also matter, and again against Gambit Kurt wins.

Storm... anyone would have a problem w/ storm... I think it would take a lot of planning and stratagy to win against a very determined Storm...If she was playing it for keeps.

Dudes, it's not Kurt vs. Storm or Kurt vs. Gambit that you oughtta be discussing- it's Kurt vs. Wolverine. I dunno, but I just think that Logan'd stand a better chance against Kurt than the other two.
:tub and why the flip is there a Kurt-in-the-tub icon?

The hardest part about beating Logan, apart from breaking your fists and feet on that bloody adamantium laced skeleton and avoiding those frikken claws, is that, thanks to his healing factor, it takes a hell of a lot to tire the little bastard out. He's like the Duracell bunny...he just keeps going and going and going and going...

Am I supposed to take that Squirrel Girl comment literally? Or are you just joking around?
I think it's the latter...
Anyways, I have quite recently gotten ahold of Kurt's solo series, and in it-
-Hold on, here I think that I have to include a SPOILER WARNING, for the solo series-
-he and Logan DO fight (although Logan was possessed), and Kurt won in it, because he had the soulsword, which his foster mother pulled out of his chest (it bears a striking resemblance to Irongrip's sword, or so I think).
So, the situation has changed once again.
If Kurt has the soulsword, then he'll win any fight, easily (or not, I suppose- if you guys think of anyone who could win against him, soulsword or no, then please tell me).
Just had to point that out.

Well...and just to stick up for poor old Gambit here - he actually when he first joined the x-men beat Wolverine more than once in a fight...it was interesting. "Bang y're dead" or something was the line he used, his bowstaff pressed to Wolverine's forehead.

Needless to say - I liked it.

To answer the :offtopic question...

There is a blue elf in a tub icon in hommage to this classic moment in the original Excalibur comics:

Nighty would have to pull an AoA type stunt to beat Wolvie. As for Colossus, I think even our affable regular 616 Kurt could handle him.
