Hi Darick. I'm glad you could come back. :wave
Thanks again, Saint Kurt and Northstar.

Perhap's one day you could come back to them with your cool idea of a Wolverine/Nightcrawler series ?
... or anything else to see more of your Nightcrawler !;)

By the way, will there be a second TPB ? I haven't seen it in Previews and I'm kind of worried...

You know.....maybe...just maybe..if we rock it in buying the TPBs of the series, they'll change their minds? I mean, it worked for Runaways...

Cool. :)

I wonder which drawing they'll use for the TPB cover.
Kurt upside down perhap's...

Or the one where he's holding the soulsword ??

w00t!

I hope there is some kind of intro for this TPB. The first one just went straight into the comic which is okay (since the comic is cool), but I always enjoy reading either the author or someone else reflecting on the book. (Though I can imagine that's kind of hard since these come out immediately after the comics run. Perhaps someone could reflect on the general coolness of Nightcrawler...)

I've become sort of a Nightcrawler lending library so it will be nice to have trades of both halves of the series to lend out.

Very crazy conclusion to this part of the story. I really liked The Hive's conversation with Kurt, and parts of it certainly make sense.

Man, if this is the direction the series was supposed to take in the long run, I would absolutely buy every single issue, then every trade, and send them off in small packages to be signed by Roberto and Derrick. Thanks for everything so far guys, and I'm looking forward to twelve!

Totally Idsunki.

We have so much to talk about!

Though this issue solved none of my problems with the story gaps and jumps of the earlier issues in this arc, it set some stuff up that is SO COOL that I don't care.

These are the words I posted at Darick's forum.
I couldn't say better, so I just copy it here.

NIGHTCRAWLER#11.

OH. MY. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD !

Here are the reasons why THIS issue was the Kurt comic book I have been waiting for all my damn life!

1. Nightcrawler appears as the clever fighter he always should be.
2. Kurt manages to win a fight versus Logan (well, sort of ! ;-))
3. The supporting cast is excellent (Magik ! Margali ! Nightmare ! Wolverine !)
4. Kurt gets to keep the soulsword !
5. He wins against a demon, without the X-Men showing up.
6. He gets a powerful enemy of his own -Hive... I just love fantasy !!
7. Finally we know what really happened between the elf and his brother Stefan. It also "erases" the dumb story written by Scott Lobdell in Marvel Comics Present more than ten years ago.
8. The art, people, the art !! The elf in all his glory, drawn like he's never been !
9. Thanks to this storyline, Nightcrawler becomes an important player of the Marvel Universe, in the center of a centuries-old battle ! And...
10. It just leaves you to want MORE ! It seems the fun has just begun ! What the sequels could have been !!

ACH, if only Marvel hadn't cancelled the series !
If only they hadn't established this STUPID hiatus. It drives me mad...

Now I can only hope this excellent plot and these wonderful drawings won't be forgotten. I just hope someone, one day, will come back to this story and write and draw the end of it.

And if this artist is a certain Darick Robertson -with, of course, Roberto's help !- well, let's just say I'll be even happier than I am today, having finished the comic book's issue of my dreams.

Just two words for you two : Thank. You.

Max.

It would be interesting for Kurt to put the Soulsword to uses other than cutting people down on the Winding Way.

You're so welcome. I gotta say that the fan response made this run compared to my Wolverine run so much more rewarding and the end of the series so much more disappointing for me.

But better to have drawn Nightcrawler in his first solo series for a year than to not get to do it at all, I say. ;)

Spell checkers don't catch proper nouns. That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it.

But seriously, thanks again. What a ride!

Zam - I believe I may be busy both those days (funny books don't sell themselves, unfortunately), but I'll see what I can do.

Ha! :LOL

With two RS and everything! But something needs to be done to restore balance to the e/a universe...

I know!

Idsunki, you've been promoted to the rank of "spellcheckar". Congratulations from all of us here at Nightscrawlers.

A very important and serious question.

It only seems fair that I give you the same raise that I got when was promoted to my current position.

Try not to spand it all in one place. ;)

Ah, the wonderful thing about buying the books- I can read them over and over. Use them as inspiration for some more ficcing, and read them again. But, yeah, too bad it is coming to an end. At the moment, this is my favorite title!

Kurt was Belasco all along -time travel, baby !- and Colossus was... Mr Sinister !
There were a number of very bizarre retcons that took place in Universe X that almost certainly do not fit in with the "main" continuity. Kurt becoming Belasco was just one. Among the others I can think of off the top of my head:

-Thor and the other Asgardian gods were really amnesiac aliens who adopted new idenitites based on Norse mythology

-Every planet that Galactus ever consumed had previously been "impregnated" with a Celestial fetus

-Mephisto is responsible for creating all the alternate timelines in an effort to avoid ariving at Judgment Day

-The super soldier serum was actually a Nazi invention, Professor Erskine was really working for Hitler, and the Third Reich sabateur who shot him was actually aiming at Steve Rogers but he had really bad aim, and hit the doc instead

Yeah, there were some extremely bizarre things stated in Universe X. So it's very very doubtful that the Belasco-is-a-future-Kurt is any more canonical than the rest of the stuff.

Even if Marvel are so evil as not to give us our Nighty back (c’mon, they reinstated She-Hulk…you can’t tell me she’s more popular than Kurt…and their Distinguished Competition (are they still called that?) print a heap of titles that don’t crack the top 100 for the joy of their readers) it’s gonna give us fanfic writers plenty of creative fodder for years to come :D

Glad Kurt’s gonna go out with a bang…and I’m so glad we got the same creative team for it’s entire run…kudos to Roberto and Darick

Sadly , it comes down to me and Roberto being exclusive and how much they pay us to do the series. If it doesn't sell a certain number of issues every month, they can't justfy the cost of creating the series.
