"...where do you get three-toed shoes..." LOL! And, of course, a cliff hanger. Oh, I feel such a schmuck for missing the lead up to this series...

... *mouth hanging open in awe* :o It's times like these that I hate my new home-town more than ever, since it doesn't have a comic book shop... o_O; That's all I can think of to say, since the uber-coolness of the page previews has caused the nerve ending in my brain to fizzle.

Ho boy. It looks amazing. As an aside, I like the fact that they are using some of Kurt's other abilitys in the first one, such as the wall-crawling. Good stuff, good stuff. It felsen aus laut.

Please excuse me while I go set up camp outside the local comic bookshop. This looks fantastic. The art is, once again, better than is on the covers of most comics and the internal dialogue is still amusing.

I know for a fact that it will be out on Wednesday, I have my copy here on display for our Marvel new-looks behind the counter. So I could in theory read it now if I was soon inclined, but I like saving the surprises for new comic book day :). I did however flip through it and it looks fantastic. As an aside, I am glade Greg Land is getting work. It sucks that Crossgen died, and along with it his book, Sojourn, but he is still putting out great covers.

DITTO.

To steal a qoute from an old issue of Excalibur (1st volume of course!) "Are there no end to his gifts?"

It looks like you guys are going to cover all of the bases where Kurts' powers and abilities are concerned, and I think that is awesome. I'm seeing it happen over in Claremont and Davis' current run on Uncanny as well. . . Absolutely loving this! :)

SPOILERS !!!

I usually don't repeat myself, but that's what I said about issue#2 at http://www.darickr.com and it pretty much sums up what I think.
So... :)

Quote : Diablo-me wrote :

"

Here are the ten reasons why I'm happy today.

1. I got issue#2 and found it better than issue#1.
2. I loved the humour : the joke about the shoes, the dialogue between Kurt and Amanda, the names of the snakes,...
3. The Giant Snakes guarding the castle. A visual wonder.
4. Kurt's black jacket. His best uniform ever !
5. Amanda Sefton has NEVER, NEVER, NEVER looked so HOT !!! Is it just me or every normal male reader will just want to undress her NOW ??
6. I found Nightcrawler#2 better than Ellis's Iron-Man#1 -something I was really waiting for, and it made me happy.
7. Demons, magicians, Limboes,... In a single word : Fantasy !! The Marvel Universe is a sci-fi world. Here, fantasy rules and I like it ! The book has his tone and his originality.
8. Kurt's power to travel through magical dimensions. Something Alan Davis invented, something we seldom see -only with Davis and Austen. Great to use this power of him !
9. Kurt's place in the Marvel Universe. Bishop is the X-cop, Cyclops is the X-leader, Wolvie is the X-killing machine,... Now it seems Kurt will become the X-paranormal investigator. I long to see his journey towards magic, and I hope he'll learn a few tricks !
10. My brother's band (Atlantys) is for the first time on a national radio (Le Mouv'). Nothing to do with Nightcrawler, but everything to do with my happiness.

On the minus side -yep, there is ALWAYS one. - I found Kurt really, really lost. But I guess it's because such mysteries are new for him, and I hope he'll show his strength next time.

"

Darick, you can quote yourself to answer this too...
LOL !!

Nightcrawler #2
By: Roberto Aquirre-Sacasa, Darick Robertson, Wayne Faucher, and Matt Milla
Kurt continues to investigate the deaths of thirteen children at Metro-General following the bizarre combustion of Barney Franks. Going so far as to enlist the advice of Amanda Sefton, Kurt beginst to realize he may be in way over his head. Decent concept so far, but only two issues in and it's beginning to run long. Given everything Nightcrawler has seen, and given the nature of his abilities, finding answers shouldn't be difficult. The issue of bounds is irrelevant when people have died and more lives are at risk. But I guess that's a moral arguement. Robertson, of course, is fantastic, continuing to improve with every project.

I think people are looking for action.
A more reactive Nightcrawler they would enjoy. Me too.
The story is awesome so far. All we need now is a big, bad fight !

As for the art : yeah baby, it sure rocks ! :bamf
