I was just looking at Kurt's bio on marvel.com, and he made his debut in 1975. So IRL, he is about 27ish. How old is he in the comics?

Um...'bout the same actually...

His 21st birthday was shown in Annual #4...Nightcrawler's Inferno...and 13 and a half year old Kitty had just joined the team (she was still freaked by him at the time)...

She's at least 18 now...she was working behind the bar in a X-Men Unlimited not too long ago...

13 + 5 = 18 for :kitty:

21 + 5 = 26 for :bamf:

Kitty Pryde, the determining factor of nearly all X-Men ages. :) she is actually 19 tho, it said so in that lead in story to Mekanix. so that makes Kurt 27

What story is that?

I was estimating any way...but :kitty:, :bamf: and :colossus: are about the only X-Men that have actually had their ages either mentioned or shown...

Didn't :beast: turn 30 (the first X-Man to do so) a few years back?

I remembered he mentions the big 3-0 ( :hank: I mean).
It seems like that happened in the FOX show or maybe only the FOX show.
I don't know. I'm having trouble!
Dave was actually saying that if Kurt WAS born in 75, he would've been a pretty big baby!:laugh: Still comic book characters age quite oddly so...
Vala: "Hello."
Daniel: "What the hell are you doing here?"
Vala: "Isn't this my room?"
Daniel: "Noooo… your room is across the hall… with the… guard in front of it."
Vala: "Ah yes, they do all rather look alike don't they? Anyhow, Since I'm here, shall we make the best of it?"
Daniel: "No, we shalln't."

In Cockrum's Corner the Dave's New Forum thread.
I can't remember exactly what he said. I'm actually the one who mentioned the big baby thing. Then Dave says imagine the size of Mystique's maternity clothes!:laugh:

Oww...that seems the tiniest bit painful! If he's 27ish, what does that make Warren, Bobby, Scott, Jean, Ororo, etc. Any guesses?

Not sure about Storm, but it would put the rest somewhere in their 30's I think.

None of them seem it. I know that Gambit is about 24-25, but he hardly ever seems quite that. Or at least, he was those ages. I have to reread the comics to find the age pointers. Sadly, I almost wish Kurt were a hair younger. But I always thought Kitty was also older. Hm.

Most all Marvel ages are guesstimates anyway...

Yep, I think :beast: is supposed to be 30
Scott next with Warren in late 20's
Jean maybe a bit younger
Iceman is the youngest, mid-20s?

We all know Logan's older than dirt
Banshee is next, he looked in his 40s in the 1970s! He seems to have de-aged actually!
And, honestly, I think :storm: is supposed to be older than most of the New X-Men too, so she may be at 30.
I think Kurt is prolly next oldest at mid-late-20s
Peter was youngest, and now will always be :(

Later, of course is Kitty. Yeah! She is the measure of all X-ages isn't she!

Sunfire? No clue. Thunderbird? I thought he was older too, because wasn't he in the Army? Or am I hallucinating that?

As for Storm's age--Chris and I always listed her as 'ageless'. We never wanted to state an age. She's probably older than the others, but will never show it.

These comic book ages things are difficult because, as we all know, the flow of time in a comic book is the most abstract thing in existance and the formula to understand it gives Hawkings migranes.

Beast mentioned he was a few weeks shy of thirty shortly before Scott and Jean's wedding. At Scott's bachelor party, Bobby still wasn't old enough to drink legally in the States. So that's about a ten year differance regardless of the fact that they were going to the same Highschool in Children of the Atom.

Twenty-seven sounds about right for Nightcrawler? Next issue he could be fourty-two though. Hell, Kitty Pryde went backwards in age when Davis was writing X-Men. Also regained her virginity when Claremont took the helm. That's a whole other discussion all together though.

When I drew Rogue in that Pentagon issue, I was under the impression she was in her 40s. I was very surprised to have her turn out to be a teenager later on.

Rogue used to be old? Is she older than Gambit? Does he know that? I think I need to go laugh somewhere now.

Dave says since his b-day is Nov 12 (I think that's right, maybe it's the eleventh), Nighty's could be then too!
Either way according to astrology, Nighty and I are incompatible. Good thing I don't give a pift about astrology!:smirk:
