Last day of the Con...
I'm sure that once we all return home, we'll have more time and think of more things to tell you all about.
Jill and I have been really busy the whole time and so haven't really had time to slow down and tell everyone about it...but today's the last day, so maybe tonight or tomorrow morning.
Jill and I are having lunch with our God, The Chuck, barring any further complications with his post as Ultimate Evil. We get to make the goat sacrifice in person this time!

Last day of the Con...
So much for my big blog updating plans...
I didn't have internet access in my room so my plan was to write updates on my computer at night and then load them into here the next day. But that didn't work because by the time I got my Nightcrawler costume off and my computer turned on I would write two incoherent sentences and fall asleep.
But, now I'm here, using Crawler's computer during the day and all is good.
I had more fun than is legal at this con. I worked the Lucasfilm booth in the mornings and so Crawler, Bamfette, and I became the "breakfast crew" who had to get up earlier than everyone else. All praise peach/strawberry smoothies!
My Lucasfilm shift ended at noon everyday so on Friday and Saturday I went up to the room and changed into Nightcrawler. Even without doing makeup on 2 other people it takes a while so I didn't get back to the convention floor until 2 usually.
On Friday I had "Comic Crawler" (Lady-Bamf) and "Blonde Nocturne" (TKD's Daughter) as my minions and on Saturday I attempted to amass an army of Nightcrawlers but only found 2 others. I did meet Mike Doughtery though so that was cool. Oh and I was interviewed on VH1... Which wasn't as cool as it sounds.
I attended a DC Comics/Chuck Austen presentation with Crawler and Bamfette while dressed as Nightcrawler. They suggested I enter first to be inconspicuous, but when I opened the door it was pitch black in there and the speaker said "Hi Kurt!"
Inconspicuous. Yeah....
A lot of other stuff happened, such as:
- I took care of the Heathen Sent booth in my Nightcrawler costume and sold a lot of buttons.
- One morning while working at Lucasfilm I forgot what costume I was wearing and when someone asked for a picture I got down on the ground and crawled towards them dressed as a rebel pilot.
- Meeting so many members of this board was fantastic. I'm afraid to name names because everyone was so cool that I don't want to leave anyone out. But dinners out with everyone each night was great.
- Attending Bamfette's "special meeting" with her new prospective employer.
- I had a dream that I woke up in the middle of the night and discovered my Nightcrawler makeup was mysteriously back on my face.
- I bought Nacht's Exiles page!
- Bamfette drew me Wolverine dressed as a Catholic school girl bamfing and changing in his superman uniform...
- Having lunch with Chuck Austen and discovering that even he sometimes finds the X-Men canon as confusing as I do.
- Seeing a whole slew of old west coast costuming friends that I haven't seen in years.
Special thanks to Maelstrom and crew, without whom I wouldn't have had such a great place to stay.
I'll download and post the nearly 200 pictures I took of our adventures as SDCC 2004.
Until Monday!

My feet hurt bad....
I never understand how on Friday and Saturday I can't think of what to do and wander aimlessly, and at 4:00 Sunday I'm like "OMG! I haven't done half the things I wanted!" I nead a freaking list of things to do, I can't be expected to remember.
Did manage to get to the booth with the crapload of current comics for less than cover price and so am now caught up on all my major books. Joy.
And I have various bizarre stuffed toys that will sit in my room next to Fillerbunny.
And I think I may be in one picture out of all the gazillion Lisa took. And I'm making an ass out of myself.

man, I wish I could have gone. It sounds like you guys had a lot of fun. Can't wait to hear it all. But I did manage to quench my boredom with a trip to the casino where I played poker for a bout 8 hours straight(you never know how bad you have to go to the bathroom until you get done with playing poker). went in with 80 bucks came out with 179 bucks. not too bad.

What a great night I had. I finally made it to San Diego with Leo (my friend) but I was a hour late. Got a little lost. Anyway, Andy and Drew were packing up because they were getting ready to leave. Sad. I wanted to talk further with both of them over dinner but they had to get ready to leave.
Everyone was great. Got some Heathen Sent goodies. Zam showed me some great pics of her dressed as movie crawler from her digital camera. Can't wait to see these photos blown up. The small digital camera screen doesn't do them justice.
Thanks to Amy and her husband for collecting a bunch of Con goodies for me. I appreciate it very much. I've just gone through some of the posters a few minutes ago btw. Another Blade movie huh? Never did see the other two. Thanks again you two!
Lisa and I discussed getting Steve to San Diego next year. We decided to gather Steve up and take him to the clubs after the con so he can check out the scene. 19? So, we'll have to get him a fake ID. Funny, I thought about Steve throughout the night and wished he was among us. Next year for sure Steve? I hope so!
I had a great time overall meeting up with everyone. Unfortunately, I suffered a bad sinus headache half-way through the night that caused me to feel very sick. By that time we had to head back to LA (2 hour drive from Los Angeles to San Diego) but not without the memories of a great time.
Loved meeting all of you! Gotta do it again. Hoping to attend next year's con.

I haven't decided which ones will end up on my site, so i just put up all of the ones i had (that weren't blurry or otherwise unuseable) I don't have many, though.... being stuck behind our table most of the time, there weren't many good picture taking opportunities... but i have some...
and yes, the lap picture was taken. just not on my camera, so i don't have it yet.

Nice pics Jill. Too bad you couldn't take more. But Zam took plenty from what I saw.
Buddy Christ is great! LOL! Love that halo. I have to say Chris has the greatest expressions on his face in some of those shots. heh
That damn red eye. It's my worst enemy when it comes to inside shots of me. Btw, I do have 3 group shots of us at Olde Spaghetti Factory on Sunday. I'll have those up in a few days.
I can't wait to see "The Chuck" lap shot! weeeeee! I think there will be a tremor in comic fandom over that one.

Last day of the Con...
I got home late last night and didn't much feel like updating...sorry guys.
Turns out I only have about 3 or 4 real pictures...and about 30 pictures of toys.
My flight home was all right, though there was a little kid that would spontaneously start BARKING at random intervals. Woke me up a few times. :p
Spent all day yesterday in airports or on airplanes, so all I want to do is go back to bed...but I have to clean up my apartment so that the realtor can come.
What logic went into the choice to have them come today, I can only guess.
But...yeah! Zam has all the good pictures. She had like 150 of them....so you wont be disappointed.
Oh! And this one was taken for Stevie:
