Dave...I know Paty was trying to find out about Chris Claremont's condition...has she heard anything? Is he okay? Can you share anything?

We know very little at this point. I just spoke to John Romita Sr., and he hadbn't heard anything at all. But it seems that Chris suffered 'cardiac stress' while attending a convention in Italy, and spent a month in hospital there. Now, one would think that if he was able, he'd certainly want to return home for care from American doctors, so 'cardiac stress' begins to sound like a heart attack. But this is all speculation on Paty's and my part. We haven't been able to get in touch with Chris or his wife to get the facts.

Sigh...thank you, Dave! If you can keep us updated, it is appreciated! I know my thoughts and prayers are with him!

I hadn't heard anything about Claremont, but I hope he's alright.. Dave, if you happen to talk to him, make sure you let him know his fans are thinking of him:D

We've been trying to call him, but so far we haven't had a response. I hope he's recovering. Chris and I haven't been close in ecent years, but I still consider him a dear friend.

Wow. I heard about this, but I was under the impression that Chris was being treated for exhaustion. My prayers go out to him and his family.

I've considered for a while now whether or not I should post here. iIve been in message board exile myself for over a year due to my health. Coming face to face with your own mortality can be rather distressing to say the least ( I'm sure Dave is familiar with this too), and I'm sure Chris has had some adjusting to do.Comforting others as to his health is probably not top priority right now, nor should it be . I hope to hear something about him soon though . I too, have him in my heathen hedge witch prays and hope that he is on the mend and behaving himself with the doctors orders. Dave and Chris are two of my favorite people, along with Paty, and I hope to have them all around for a while

I appreciate the concern, Panz, as I'm sure Chris does, and I'm glad to see you back after such a long absence. I haven't had a chance to taalk with Chris since his illness, but Paty has, and Chris assures us he's on the mend and doing everything possible to make a full recovery.

Thanks Dave, I actually saw him ghosting around xfan or what ever the heck it's called these days...while I was trying to figure out what had gone on in comicdom since my absence...Glad to hear that he's doing better
