So Terry, once a creation solely for Bruce Timm's animated series (a.k.a. "Timmverse" to many, many fans) is now a part of Batman Canon, thus DC Canon.
How do we feel about this?

I LOVE IT!! :P

Also, Mark Hamil is the best Joker ever. Probably better than Heath. I can't read a single Bat-comic now without thinking of him.

It's just... stupendous.

I am joining in with the Mark Hammill Love/ He totally rocks the Joker. More than anyone else has.

I also really liked Batman Beyond - it was a very cool cartoon that was futuristic, but it kept a lot of the Art Deco looks of the Animated Series that drew me to that cartoon. :D

I'm not sure that I like the idea that it's set in stone about what happens to Batman in the future, as he's still going in the present.

The animated batman also gave us Harley... though i prefer the animated harley over the comic one.

is the real "batman" back from his time traveling escapades yet?

Mmm. I must say I love Harley. And I agree - Animated Harley wins over the Comic Harley.

You should read the "Joker's Asylum II" series with her in it. It's very good.

Also:

Can't discuss Batman without mentioning Frank Gorshin

COME NOW!!

I keep meaning to read that. I hear it's spectacular.

And omg FRANK. <3 I swear no matter how campy, that is one of the best batmans ever.

I agree. It's camp was ridiculous, but the villains were timeless.

Also; the Joker's Asylum series is great. Riddler's (From II) and Scarecrow's (from I) are my two favorites, and Killer Croc's and Two-Face's are close seconds.

Riddler's is great 'cause, like a Christopher Nolan movie, the ending is not clear and it is, in fact, a riddle.

The Scarecrow one is messed up and seems like a Wes Craven movie.

Killer Croc is interesting story but the artwork has him looking like a legit Croc, which is something I've never been very fond of, but it's almost an origins story so it's a neat little take on his character.

The Two-Face's is just... man... that shit is dark.

Dick as Batman, does it work?

I vote yes. I will debate this further upon someone who disagrees and challenges me. :engarde have at thee!

Eh no one can really ever replace batman.

Dick has assumed the mantel a few time now to help out.

But while he is great in his own way, the energy isn't the same. Batman is i dont need hlep i'll do it on my own dark brooding tortured nature just isn't dick.

You may find Dick is in that cowl a lot longer than you had supposed though.

Did anyone else get Arkham City?

I'm loving this game and i'm only like... 30 minutes in. And holy crap is it huge. SO MUCH TO SEE/DO!

I feel like Belle on her first day in the castle.

And by that I mean I am enjoying breaking jaws the same way she enjoyed talking to magical lamps and clocks.

Has anyone been reading Batwoman? I just read the first 4 (grabbed them from a "GRAB BAG" at a thrift store). Absolutely stunning art, sterile story though. Interesting stuff going on superhero wise, not much going on when she's got the mask off. Daddy issues and mellowdrama it feels like.

New Dark Knight Rises Trailer has a lot more Catwoman in it.

I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about this movie.
