New Hawkeye Series by Fraction/Aja

Very interesting indeed.

It appears in lieu of the Avengers film, Marvel has finally buckled themselves down to finding a GOOD Hawkeye team. This time, it looks like they've nailed it. With only previews and murmurs so far, I have no reason to believe Fraction (who headed/currently heading some of the most popular books outside of the X-Titles including Invincible Iron Man, Mighty Thor, and a handful of various Avengers shoot offs) is going to let down Marvel U, Avenger, or Hawkeye fans.

SO HOW AWESOME IS THIS SERIES, HUH!?

I mean seriously, I am loving it. I don't let my G/F know that 'cause I don't want her to think I care about whether she gets it or not (being she fronts the money for it) but when she goes to bed, it's the first of hers I tear into.

Absolutely wonderful.
Simple art, simple story, but with subtle complexities in both. Great development, awesome humor. I have always liked Fraction with a single-hero rather than a team (I'd even take him with a close-knit group or family like F4, but not the X-Men). He has a great handle on this title, and I strongly urge all fans of Hawkeye from the Avengers movie or comics to pick it right the heck up.

If you doubt Fraction, and you haven't read his Iron Man? -- shame on you if you have not, by the way, -- then this is the perfect time to give Fraction a shot. Issue #006 is a fresh start to a new arc, the arcs have yet to reach more than two issues. It's great. This one is leading into issue #7, which is actually about Hurricane Sandy, all proceeds for that issue go to the benefit relief funds of the super-storm. Buy it for that, if nothing else. It's not like it's a bad read!
