Green Goblin v Doctor Octopus
Green Goblin v Doctor Octopus
Ok, Fuzzy Dice and I have been arguing about this for months. He thought you good people here at Scrawlers could choose. The question is simple. Who would win? The mighty Green Goblin or the snivelly Doc Ock? Feel free to speak your mind. We just want to sort this before we kill each other with stat sheets and Trumps cards...

Dr. OCTOPUS would most definutly win. GObby has a tendancy to kinda sorta...stray from his purpose with lack of time management. (a.k.a. he ckacles too much and is too wrapped up with himself.}}

Green Goblin v Doctor Octopus
I think it comes down to prep time.
If they have adequate prep time, then Gobby has the advantage. He's just more cunning. If it's a spur-of-the-moment kind of thing, then Doc Ock's DEFINITELY got the advantage because of his advantage physically.
One quick swipe, and the Gobby Glider is out of commission. 1/2 second later, Doc Ock's 4 arms have ahold of Gobby's arms and legs. Game over.
Goblin's advantage over Spidey that always kept him in the game was Spider-Man himself. He knew who Pete was, so he could threaten those Pete loved, leaving Pete only one option...killing him. Of course, Spidey's own morality always prevented that from occuring, so it was Spidey that kept Goblin in the game.
No such advantage for poor Norman when he's up against Otto. His only hope is if he can come up with a way to take Ock's arms out of the equation.

And while I must say that one pumpkin bomb could easily stun Doc oc, (remember, he may have titanium tentacles and body plate, bot not head)
Tho then again, crawler, your right about the arm and leg thingy, tho I do believe Goblin can control the glider from just about anywhere. I think Spidey came up wiht an acid solution that fused the tentacles together once in that Spider Man comic CHapter ONe by John Bryne.
It's when they went back and explained the details Ditko and Lee may have missed. (If you ask me it was kind of uncalled for, they didn't miss much.) I only have one of 'em, the eyes on spider-man have to be the bigest turn off for those comics. THeir litterally on the side of his nose, and I never really like the web cape thing. There is an ad in there for X-men 35th anniversary isssues though.
Either way, NOrman is as smart if not smarter than good ole' Pete, which leaves the impression that if SPidey can make a acid that burnd or fuses titanium, I am pretty sure Gobby can, but that's if he's expecting a fight.... I don't think we'll ever really know until someone writes a story where the two smash eachother around.
(Phillips could do the art...he could definutly do the art.)

Had to go with Doc Ock - it's a matter of tactics. Gobby is essentially psychotic, obsessed with goals. Octavius, while nuts in his own way, is neurotic; thus can plan and shift plans without the tunnel vision.
Besides, one titanium tentacle through the abdomen can ruin your whole day.

More like Ruthless Manipulative maniac versus Smart maniac. manipulation talent is very powerful, and it might cancel out the tentacles...Originally posted by KF

Is he going to tell the tentacles to work for him? It all depends on the situation someone neds to start writing this story....
