I liked that theory!
Hey, yeah.....why did the soul dagger hurt Kurt? And why did the arm hit right where the dagger got him? Which again leads back to questions about the science of Kurt's teleportation ability......
Yes, it all starting to make sense now.....
(And since "Lost" is having its finale Sunday....I've got to have something to fill the conspiracy void.)

I rather like Madison Jeffries, but I won't buy anything Marvel just to read about him. I'll just check out the solicits, previews, reviews and summaries until Kurt returns.

Humph. Not a lot at all.
Anybody paying any attention at all to Second Coming? What exactly is happening, and when will we know whether she was "worth it?"

I'm following spoilers, and that's about it, but yeah, so far there's no indication that Nightcrawler's death was the "game changer" it was promised to be.Dedicatedfollower467 wrote:Humph. Not a lot at all.

Well, the problem is the last five books out were sort of, unfortunately the same thing from different peoples perspectives. By this I mean, not X-Factor, Uncanny, & New all being the same thing, but the "Second Coming: Rebirth" and "Second Coming Hell Bound" and the last issue of X-Factor plus the issue before that one (I think it was part 08?) are all sort of just the X-Men going "OH NO! A giant sphere! And another sphere in its center!" And in one issue it's the source of the other sphere trapping them on San Francisco (Even though I thought they were on Utopia, is that in SF?) and in the next issue it's a portal for Bastion Bots (some kind of super deadly sentinels that I'm unaware of). so...
Unfortunately I don't think the writers are communicating very well anymore LOL--BUT, the loss of Kurt is evident amongst some characters, specifically Logan, and the loss of teleporters as a whole is certainly a "game changer".
I don't think you could possibly tell how much of a "game changer" Kurt's death could be from spoilers or sample screen shots. You really need to keep up to get the grasp of the story, and there is definitely a feeling of loss amongst the characters. I'm not actually buying these issues, I'm reading them off friends, and the story isn't God awful, but I stand by the fact that any character could have died here and the story would be just as good.
Also, this story isn't over so they won't really feel that empty void Kurt once filled that I have described before. The X-men and Marvel world (fans?) will feel this later down the line. Like I said, let the dust settle.

That's just it. I really don't think that for the X-Men as a whole, the dust will settle. There's Count Jubilee showing up with Blade, a big vampire threat, the integration of a whole lot of Marvel Universe characters among the X-Men, and this Heroic Age and X-Men day that are supposed to get us really excited about the X-books, and, well, I'm not excited.

I think it's unreasonable to get me excited considering I've never found the X-books so depressing before.

Utopia is a couple miles off the coast of San Francisco, which is why it makes no logical sense for it to be recognized as an independent nation of any kind. It's a rather massive sphere.Ult_Sm86 wrote: And in one issue it's the source of the other sphere trapping them on San Francisco (Even though I thought they were on Utopia, is that in SF?)
Do you remember that nasty pink sentinel from the future? Nimrod. That's what those are. And they all have Kurt hands.and in the next issue it's a portal for Bastion Bots (some kind of super deadly sentinels that I'm unaware of). so...

Are you calling me a Nimrod or them?
And yeah I noticed they all have Kurt's hands. Hence another reason that I think if you were actually following along you'd see the clearly-climaxing-Kurt-related-end.

Sorry for the confusion. The sentinels are Nimrods. That's actually what they're called. That name continues to amuse me far more than it probably should.
I'm still pulling for Kurt's goodness to beat them from the inside. Alas, I fear it won't result in some grand deus ex machina move by Hope that returns him to a remade body, but I'll take what I can get to have him be the ultimate hero of the piece.
I must wait until next weekend for my comics.

yyyeah, i hate to dash anyone's hopes, but i think the three fingers thing was part of the original design,

I'm pretty sure Techno!Kurt would be right up there with White Lantern!Nighty in terms of 'hey that's cool' but i doubt if its happening any time soon... i think Marvel is going to leave us hanging for a year or two... or ten... depending on how much interest (read: profit) they can garner from 's eventual return

He definitely had 5 fingers before he killed Kurt.....and he was looking at the hand after it reformed like he was suprised or something.
And I haven't seen all the previews, but hasn't he been consistantly drawn with the three fingered hand since?
I'm really hoping it'll have something to do with destroying Bastion.
