The GUTHRIE Family
So I hear there's like 8 of them ramblin' 'round now and that that number could be wrong. There may be more! *ha ha ha tss tss tss*
Anyways, there's a ton of 'em, I know that, but I figured rather than look 'em up in Wikipedia I'd ask the real professionals, so that they would correctly inform me and any other questioners.
So, what this boils down to are four simple questions about the GUTHRIE family:
1) Who are they?
2) How are they important?
3) What are some more recent/prominent story plots they have been involved in so I can find some examples?
4) Is it true Paige had sex with Warren in the sky above her mother?

I would love for the Summer clan to be at war with the Guthrie clan, like some hillbilly kin hatred. That would be so funny.

I'm not sure anyone here gives a shit about the Guthries. You might be better off with Wikipedia.

Well, from what I can tell we got some people who at least like them, being they get played in RP.

The GUTHRIE Family
1.) Family with the highest number of mutations known to the readers, even before the Summers family.
2.) They are important insofar that a few well-known X-Men come from this family.
3.) Recently they were visited by Hank McCoy and his evil copy Dark Beast in search for a solution for the extinction of mutants.
4.) It is true although mainly frowned upon among the fans, seeing as this action doesn't qualify as in-character for either and the coupling in some way is creepy, with Angel being quite older than Husk.
@Spaz: Some of us manage to be informed even though not having interest.

Okay, so here's another question then, and this is a pretty blunt way of asking...
Who are the Guthries? (Long and short of it).
Names? Ages? What're some of their most notorious storyplots?

Paige, Sam and Jay are the ones I'm most familiar with. Paige and Sam are still living, Jay died. I have to say I'm not totally up on them - I should read some more. Good excuse to buy more tpb's, no?

The GUTHRIE Family
The Guthries were featured in Chuck Austen's Uncanny arc (#437-#441): "She Lies with Angels" which is based (very loosely) on Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". In this case it's the Guthries (a lot of mutants) vs. the Cabots (anti-mutant white supremacists). The Guthrie's are just trying to do their thing, but the Cabots hate them because Mrs. Guthrie has the audacity to keep popping out mutants AND date a black man.
Other Guthrie's make appearances: Jebediah ('splodes things with blue energy beams), Lucinda (Mom Guthrie), and lots of unnamed Guthrie children living in the family shack.
Predictably, Lucinda Guthrie delivers a lot of tough love speeches and greets trouble by coming out on the front porch with a shotgun. The story is most notable as being the Uncanny arc that many Austen detractors said was "okay"; despite the fact that Husk and Angel appear to have sky sex in front of her mother.
Here's a summary of #437.

So.....
....who thinks it's Sam who's gonna die in "Second Coming"?
My friend feels it may be him. I disagree, but let's hear some ideas.

Do you mean "Eternal"?
'Cause Second Coming's mail villain appears to be Bastion, who is very capable of finding ways to off immortal characters. Also, in Marvel--especially the X-men--you can always write off any eternal characters by finding a poison apple/ancient hammer/laser canon made of cytorak crystals, etc...
that was a more of a devil's advocate argument though, I agree, I don't think it'll be Sam.
I think it's either
-Cable
-Bishop
or
-Thunderbird
....Unless Beast shows back up >_>

... From what the preview comic shows... Sam is very much alive and well and actually talks about the victim's death.

RIP Kurt Wagner. You were the character who brought in me into comics, who introduced me and inspired me. Now your death has sent me away again. Wherever you are in the Marvel Universe, I hope its someplace pleasant.Right across the lane from the demon and just down the wall from Wolverine.

LOL that makes sense.
My friend didn't view the Preview I don't think... wait no he did 'cause he was talking about how it can't be Kurt 'cause he had his device on his belt last not on his watch.....
Did he not recognize him?
Either way, I still am convinced it's Cable.
