:daredevil:
O.K. Here is the Poster:
http://www.comics2film.com/ImageFrame.p ... Poster.jpg
And the film is really getting near (it comes out 14 of February of 2003).

Check out the oficial site @
http://www.daredevilmovie.com/

So what do you expect from this one? Would you be seeing it?

Note that this is said to be the darkest and cheapest of the late Marvel Character's movies!!

And it has Ben Affleck has Matt Murdock :yell::yell::yell:

But it has Elektra too wich is played by Jennifer Garner :?:?

Jennifer Garner... *swoons*

I don't have TOO high hopes for this movie (Spider-Man let me down scriptwise), but I really want to see it when it comes out. I'm just unsure about how well Affleck can fit the role of Matt. *shrugs*

I...dunno. I want to see this movie, and I think it may be really great...but I've got a funny feeling that it's going to be horrible and totally bomb.

I don't know why.

And I hope Ben Hoofleck will pull it off...I know he CAN, but that doesn't mean he WILL.

I have mixed feelings about Daredevil. I love the character, and from the things I read, it is loosely based off the Frank Miller, Kevin Smith runs on the comics, which was pretty much the only times I ever collected Daredevil.
Spider-Man sort of let me down, but it wasn't a total loss. It made lots of money, and that seems to have paved the way for other super hero movies! :D
Hope Daredevil doesn't dissapoint. *crosses fingers*

Well that really depends on how high are our expectations, doesn't it? And I think that the producers are keeping this movie in a kind of «low profile» so that we don't expect another :spidey: (which I really loved and belive that was far superior than X1).

I loved the trailer, accept for the tunes in it.

If anything, the flick can ride on the talent of Micheal Duncan Clark and Jon Pantonliano. Those two roles were excellently cast. Colin Farrel seems like he'll do a good job too. Jennifer Garner, well, I really like Alias. It seems though that they're replacing Elektra's backstory with Echo's and I'm not sure how jazzed about that I am. As for Afflec, well, I still think he looks like a dork in the suit--though it's kind of hard to think of someone that wouldn't look like a dork in red leather pervert suit--the guy actually does have more range the people give him credit for. So long as he doesn't ham it up too much, things should be good.

'Course, I probably want this movie to rock more then anyone else here at NightScrawlers.

This looks and sounds good. I've seen the poster now and I'm even more convinced. Kevin Smith has a cameo as a lab assistant called Jack Kirby and there's a character called Jose Quesada. :D
Bullseye looks cool and I'm looking forward to the movie. :)

Sure! Bullseye's creative like that.

And we have no idea what led up to that scene exactly.

So yeah, I'm really jazzed about this flick and I think it looks like it will be at least decent.

Yes, that comic does indeed make me lose all faith in the movie's potential goodness. I still intend to go see it opening day, but now I reserve the right to cry if it's bad and still not be seen as anything less then 100% manly.

My one main question is what on god's green earth is ELEKTRA doing in it!? I mean yes she's has lot's of adventures wiht Daredevil, yes them two them get hanky panky and what not...but seriously. THIS SOON?!?! Already!?! And what's wiht Bullseye. I culd've sworn he had more brains than trying to run him down with a bike, maybe he was trying to chase him into a trap!? I dunno, it' looks ok, but It will most definutly pick up a lot of critiscism.

Forget about Affleck.

John Favreau as Foggy!

Joe Pantoliano (The guy from Matrix & Memento) as Ben Urich!

Cool!

Affleck it's just the main character and the reason there is a film! So, how are we supose to forget about him?
I'm not going to see the Ben Urich film!! And I really hope that they don't do the film around Urich!! I want to see a :daredevil: film!! And a good one!!

I'm pretty excited about the movie. I don't know much about Daredevil at all, which might help. Maybe that keeps my expectations at a good level. :)

I also thought that Spiderman was better than X1. The characters were developed better in Spiderman, and I think they edited way too much out of X1. Watching the deleted scenes on the DVD made some scenes left in the movie make more sense. It's bad that the creators thought that we wouldn't sit through an extra 15 minutes of footage.

But back to Daredevil, I'll probably see it pretty close to opening night if for no other reason than my husband is really excited about it.

aye, spidey movie let me down actresswise! where was my model mary jane?

the dd movie looks extremely lame. i'm going to see it to show my marvel support but it seems nowadays they cast any big star and think little of matching actors/actresses to the role. movie makers're more concerned with getting the general public to see the movies than with pleasing the hardcore fans.

now that i think about it...the dd movie can't be any worse than that old school daredevil that was dressed in some sort of black ninja suit. that was back in the day with the old bill bixby and lou ferrigno hulk...classic:-D

I'm going to see it too, because its a Marvel movie and about a character that I've been following for years now (and was once my favourite one - my first comics featured Frank Miller writing :daredevil: ).
But this is really starting to worry me, first because if it fails in the boxoffice it might get the film producers thinking twice about other characters movies, second because I really wished this was a good movie wich could make people love :daredevil: as much as I do.

As for the "We should all see the movie, even if it stinks" bit, I belive that we shouldn't support a movie if we think it doesn't deserve our support. Marvel or no Marvel movie, if it stinks I'll just watch it once and I'll refuse to buy any merchandise whatever from it!!!

Hey, what do you guys think of the chick they picked to play Elecktra? I don't like her. I thought she was supposed to have black hair....why is she blonde??? I don't like it. and that costume she wears does NOT look good on her. It's too stiff. Blah. Maybe the guys like it or something, I think it's UGLY.

Blonde :ooh: are you sure? :ooh:

And the costume... ah... since X-Men (and before that Matrix) went black-leather everyone must be in black or... wearing leather (:daredevil: wears really-dark-red-leather in this one). But no, I don't like her costume either.

Yeah, costumes are really the only thing I dont like about this one so far... they dont seem to hit that balance- they strive to be cool but they seem hokey.

Actually, I'm more worried about the Hulk film being poor.

Movie Producer A: Err... this movie will su*k so much!!! What can we do to get the kids to watch it anyway???
Movie Producer B: We could put Jennifer Garner in her underwear...

Or as Comics Continuum says it:

The Daredevil movie will be featured on the next cover of Premiere magazine, which touts it on the cover as the "sexiest comic-book movie ever."

According to the story, stars Ben Affleck (Daredevil) and Jennifer Garner (Elektra) filmed an extra scene to spice up the relationship between their characters.

"A bedroom scene," Premiere's Sean Smith told Entertainment Tonight on Friday. "So you'll get to see Jennifer Garner in her underwear."

The issue of Premiere with Daredevil on the cover arrives on stands on Jan. 14.
