Ruth Aldine [Blindfold]

Post by Sika » Wed Jul 11, 2012 5:02 pm

Pardon, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Ruth Aldine (current age 19, born July 13, 1995) and I was born on the Kalispel reservation in Northeastern Washington state. I grew up living in a sheltered house with both of my parents, Aponi and Maska. My mom, Aponi, was a school teacher (yes, I said was... once I was born she was forced to stay home with me...). My father slaved away his days working in the aluminum box factory that is on the reservation. On his days off, you can find him drinking away his liver at the casino.
I’ve always been a bit...odd. When I was 3 or 4 my parents discovered my ability to “predict” events. Often, I would accompany my father to the casino, just in case I was to predict his blackjack numbers at “just the right time”. No, he never won anything, and stopped taking me after about a year...

I lied about my age when I was fifteen so I could obtain a job at the casino on the reservation. I worked as a bartender with mystic (always wearing those coach sunglasses!) to be able to save enough money to pay for college. I received a full scholarship to Xavier University, so I use my savings to keep myself in the latest sunglass fashions, thank you!.

I have recently moved to Westchester, New York. Right now, I am living in a crappy studio apartment, but yes, I intend to live in the dorms when university starts in the fall. And no, I haven’t figured out what to major in yet, but who really knows what to do with themselves when they can’t make eye contact with someone?

I am five foot, nine inches tall and yes, I am very slender (think size 4). Typical of a Native American, I have jet black hair which I currently have cut pretty short, I accentuate my face with a beautiful pair of dark sunglasses, the bigger the better! My eye color is tan... yes individualism for the win! At 17, I fell in love with a boy (who shall remain nameless, as he couldn’t adapt to my quirks and differences) and we got our names tattooed on our rib cages. Thankfully, I was able to change Dean into a believe script that now rests on my left ribcage.

I’ve always been pretty healthy, but then again, I never spent a lot of time with others when I was a kid. My mom home schooled me (which means I was done with Washington requirements by 13) because of the lack of eyes that grace my face… Whenever I used to leave the house, I was made fun of... A boy on the reservation used to call me blindfold, because I used to stumble around. Once I figured out my bearings, I tossed him into the river.

I’ve never really been around other “different” people like me. I’ve hidden out on the reservation to limit my interaction with others, especially certain government figures who like to mandate certain registrations...

I will frequently interrupt your questions and comments to have a “one-sided” conversation that mysteriously answers all of your questions (no, I’m not foreseeing your conversations... I’m hearing your thoughts, so go ahead and practice not thinking about my lack of eyes, thank you!), and I love to fill up the conversation with the words: yes, no, thank you, your welcome, and pardon.

I’m a big lover of peppermint ice cream, coach sunglasses, designer clothes, 4 inch heels, and top 40 music. Catch me any day, and I can whip up a mean martini on the spot... although my favorite drinks to make include fire... Anybody want a flaming Dr. Pepper?

Oh and one other thing... Don’t ever ask me to take off my sunglasses.

(Precognition is limited based on familiar surroundings and people. She requires time to be able to begin predicting things about the people she is around. However, she can be around people/places she doesn’t really know and will have a ‘feeling’ about something.)
