1/21 Instance: Deal ;)

Timelined after Technicolour

<Bobby> Bobby couldn't believe how many bags this girl had. Bags upon bags and there might have been bags inside some of the bags. One was even stuck in the crook of his elbow, so he shook his arm to try to free it.

<Hope> Hope glanced over at him a bit awkwardly. "You sure you got all that?"

<Bobby> "Oh," he dragged out the word, then grinned when the bag rattled loose. "Yep!" Technically, they were in the house, so he could have just dropped all her bags at the door and went to see Lorna. Damn manners. "You certainly gave your dad's credit card a workout."

<Hope> "Well, I want to look good if we get called into action while we're out."

<Bobby> "Called into action how, exactly?" Bobby gave her the side eye on their way to her room.

<Hope> "What do you mean how? The same crap the X-men always do. Saving cats from trees, stopping muggers, whatever."

<Bobby> "Yeah, except for how you're not supposed to be doing that how," he said, shuffling the bags.

<Hope> "Yeah except for huh what? Tony never said I couldn't go."

<Bobby> "Yeah yeah, it's kind of implied. Considering you're supposed to be low profile and not in danger and all."

<Hope> "I asked him what I was supposed to do on missions. He said figure it out... not don't go."

<Bobby> "Figure out how not to get killed. Haven't you been through this with Phil and Stan?"

<Hope> "It was more figure out how to keep them from getting killed. I can take care of myself."

<Bobby> Bobby sighed and stopped just outside her bedroom door.

<Hope> "There is a reason I have to have a powered body guard instead of the regular agents." Hope got the door for him.

<Bobby> Following her in, he started shedding bags onto her bed. "Yeah, because you're dangerous."

<Hope> "You think I don't fucking know what I'm capable of!? You think I'm not aware that I was a horseman for Apocalypse?! WAR?! That I killed countless people and nearly started a nuclear war?! You think I'm not fucking aware of that!? Why the hell do you think I take being an X-Man so seriously?! It's the one good thing I can do with my 'ability.'"

<Bobby> His eyes grew wider the longer her rant went on and he quickly finished dropping off the rest of the bags. "Whoa," he finally said, turning around to look at her. "Whoa, whoa, whoa!"

<Hope> "Whoa what?!" Hope had a hard time keeping her emotions under control.

<Bobby> "That's... so not even remotely what I meant." Bobby looked her over, brows drawn back down in a concerned frown. "Hope... that stuff wasn't your fault."

<Hope> Hope crossed her arms over her chest, gazing off to the side a bit. "Then what then? Because I thought about going for that cure so that crap couldn't happen again."

<Bobby> "There's nothing wrong with us to be cured... we just have to be careful." He sighed and slid his hands into his pockets.

<Hope> "I was taken from Xavier's office, Bobby... it's not like I was out on the street or something."

<Bobby> "Yeah... I know. Unfortunately being careful doesn't always help, but it can't hurt."

<Hope> "If I can get taken here, I can anywhere. And I'd rather do some good in the meantime."

<Bobby> "Well, that just means I'll have to go with you." He tilted his head.

<Hope> Hope glanced back over to him, unsure if she heard him right. "Yeah?"

<Bobby> "Yeah-huh." One corner of his mouth quirked up. "No taking Stan and Phil - he's got a new hobby anyway - and no sneaking away. You go, I go."

<Hope> Hope softened and held out her hand to him. "It's a deal."

<Bobby> "Wicked," he grinned and took her hand, giving it a firm shake. "I promise, I'll keep you as safe as I can."

<Hope> She resisted the urge to roll her eyes. "I already know that. And thanks... for going with me."

<Bobby> "No problem. I get it... wanting to do something. So, hey. We both can." He shrugged one shoulder and slid his hands back into his pockets.

<Hope> "It's what X-Men do... we save people. Sorry for snapping."

<Bobby> "Happens to the best of us." He gave her a small smile.

<Hope> Hope smiled back. "Well, we should do some training later. After you go... do whatever it is you do with your wife."

<Bobby> "Yeah, about that... let's try not to schedule any world-saving missions for the next couple weeks? I would like to be there when my daughter's born, y'know."

<Hope> Hope laughed and nodded. "Yeah sure. No problem. Go see your wife. I'm going to go see Johnny."

<Bobby> Bobby grinned. "Want an escort? We can figure out some training time. Then I'll go help Lorna find her feet."

<Hope> "Sounds great." Hope grabbed her phone and headed to the door. "Good luck with the feet."

<Bobby> Bobby held the door for her. "I never knew feet could get so puffy..."

<Hope> "You sir, are excellent birth control." Hope shot him a grin from the other side.

<Bobby> "Scott will be so pleased," he grinned.

<Hope> "I'll be sure to leave a note the next time I'm down there in your honor."

<Bobby> "D'awww, be sure to write it on one of his terrifying birth pamphlets."

<Hope> "Excellent! You're pretty good at this. Should get your help for all terrorizing."

<Bobby> "D'aww, what a sweet thing to say, princess!" Bobby grinned and checked his bag from the comic shop. Nope, safe.

<Hope> "Well I told you everyone likes me." She smirked at him.

<Bobby> "Well, you're growing on me." He returned the smirk with a nose wrinkle.

<Hope> "Can't help it you're slow."
