Current Timeline
<@Darren> Darren bounced lightly on his heels as people filed into the DR, grinning and adjusting his jacket, yellow energy lines glowing through the leather.
<Bobby> Lorna hadn't been kidding that they needed all the help they could get, so that's why Bobby was here... backup. He watched Darren. Bobby had been hesitant to gush too much about his reconciliation with Lorna, considering.
<@Darren> Darren chuckled evilly to himself and rubbed his hands together, "Is it wrong that I'm seriously looking forwards to being the one being chased, for once?" He asked Bobby.
<Sue> Sue willed herself to walk through the door, shielding herself mostly against her will because the place still gave her the creeps. Stupid zombies.
<Fabian> Fabian felt....ridiculous. This was quite possibly the most ridiculous he ever felt but he wouldn't let that show. It wasn't just this uniform either, it was the whole idea of training to be one of these people now. Sure, he had been through one little scuffle with them before with Rogue but this was a bit more official than he had originally been up for...but what else was there to do?
<Bobby> "Nah, a little role reversal is good for the soul sometimes," he grinned, watching the students file in. Cortez... oh, good.
<Cecilia> Cecilia frowned at the uniform she was now wearing. She'd almost laughed when they'd given it to her, thinking it was some kind of sick joke. "Smells like new car," sniffed Cecilia.
<@Darren> "It's worth more then a new Ferrari, that suit," Darren told Cecillia.
<Sue> Sue chewed her lip, running a hand through her hair and wavering between invisible and visible.
<Bobby> "No pressure or anything," he laughed, smiling at Cecilia.
<Fabian> Fabian only quirked an eyebrow up at Bobby when he caught sight of him though inwardly he wondered just how many ways he was going to end up being frozen today. "They really are quite interesting uniforms for the materials alone."
<Fabian> The rest of it? Bad gimp suit if you asked Fabian.
<Cecilia> "Wish I had a Ferrari," muttered Cecilia. She smiled at Bobby, "Thanks, I hope I'm not in the way too much!"
<@Darren> "Over-rated car," Darren shrugged, calling up a grey cityscape, "So, you guys know what today's training session is?"
<Bobby> "Not at all," he told Cecilia and turned the grin to Sue. "Wow, I can't believe I'm actually seeing you here."
<Sue> "Well hold that thought... might not be for long..." she faded out of view before drifting back in again.
<Fabian> Fabian looked a bit confused as to why it'd be surprising to see someone in the danger room, the place was fantastic after all. "Wow us with your plan." He told Darren, not sure what they were doing.
<Cecilia> Cecilia's eyes went a bit round at the forming cityscape. She had taken the liberty of training her powers in the Danger Room at least every other day and it still amazed her. "I love this place," she laughed.
<Bobby> Bobby chuckled at Sue, turning a somewhat more predatory look on Fabian and crossing his arms.
<@Darren> "I'll make Danger turn the heat seeking on," Darren said in a singsong voice, "Anyways, given that a lot of our teleporters, speeders and fliers are indisposed, you guys have to learn to how to do a few things the old fashioned way."
<Sue> "Heat seeking won't work. Still requires light..." She concentrated and forced herself visible and dropped the forcefields.
<Fabian> Despite their last 'interview' ending well enough Fabian could still feel that predatory glance from Bobby. Marvelous, at least the Danger Room had safeties so nothing much would happen if he were pushed off from something high.
<Cecilia> Cecilia caught the look Bobby shot at Fabian. She knew there was some tension there, but she didn't realize it was still fresh...And now she was unsure of what to do. She liked both of them. She stared at her feet and didn't look at either.
<@Darren> Darren hopped up onto a railing, waving an arm for balance and spinning on one foot to face them, "So, we're doing some good, old fashioned chasing people down," he grinned, "I'm gonna run, you guys have to try and catch me, and Bobby here is going to observe and help if you guys need it."
<Bobby> Bobby shifted to ice for effect, pointedly not looking at Cortez.
<Sue> Catching, eh? Should be easy enough. Bubbles.
<Cecilia> "Sounds simple enough," Cecilia said. "Not that I think it will be simple to catch you!" She added. "I'm not overconfident..." Ok, shutting up now.
<Bobby> Cecilia was a babbler. He liked that.
<Fabian> Oh god, this was going to involve a good deal of running, wasn't it? Although, as Fabian glanced to the girls that would be his partners in this, he could just boost their powers and see how much of the place they could turn into a giant snow globe.
<Cecilia> Cecilia's face flushed. God, and now she'd embarrassed herself in front of yet another teacher/person in authority
<Sue> Sue giggled a little and patted Cecilia. "It'll be super easy... unless he's planning on cheating."
<@Darren> "Heh, well, I don't fatigue, but I won't be using my powers here, so you don't need to worry about me flying, or running up the sides of skyscrapers, but expect some crazy free-running here," Darren shot the girl a friendly smile.
<Cecilia> Cecilia nodded and smiled back shakily. "I'll try to keep up," she said nervously.
<Bobby> "This is Darren, of course he'll cheat," Bobby laughed.
<Sue> "I knew it was too much to hope for..." she sighed melodramatically.
<Fabian> "It wouldn't be any fun otherwise, yes?" Fabian smirked a bit. Well, might as well enjoy the hunt in any case. Darren was 'the greatest game of all' after all.
<@Darren> "Anyone trying to run away from us, they're gonna be desperate, they're gonna try and do anything to throw us off the scent. They'll hide, they may try and block your path," Darren said, ignoring Bobby.
<Bobby> Bobby was used to this, so he just kept grinning.
<Cecilia> "They're not gonna play nice. Teaching us practical lessons without coddling. Gotcha," said Cecilia.
<Sue> "Hiding I can fix," she grinned too.
<Fabian> "Anything not allowed?" He was going to cheat anyway but why not ask?
<@Darren> "I'm gonna make this easy for you to start with, which is why I'm glowy and there's no other people about," Darren indicated the empty city, "you're not allowed to burn me out," Darren eyeballed Fabian.
<Sue> "Can I just do this?" Sue enclosed Darren in a bubble, "Because then we win already and I can go back to my book..."
<Fabian> "Is that really utilizing all of my skills?" Fabian asked, unable to keep from smirking.
<Bobby> "You can always try it on me, Cortez," Bobby leered.
<Cecilia> Cecilia eyed Fabian. "I think the exercise would be a pretty short one if you did that, Fabian. I don't know about you, but some of us need the practice,"she smiled.
<Cecilia> Cecilia looked at Bobby. Oh, no...
<@Darren> Darren poked the bubble, "No, you need to give the prey a sporting chance after all."
<Fabian> Fabian couldn't help but give Bobby a dirty look at that. "Understood, will just boost these two and if I want an ice castle I'll see about Bobby."
<Sue> "Well okay... I'll give you a head start and then I'll catch you in a fishbowl. Maybe I'll fill it with sand... and Bobby can be the little diver for company." She grinned.
<Bobby> Bobby just grinned, then noticed Cecilia watching him and softened his expression.
<@Darren> "So, you guys give meeeee ... five minutes head start and then come hunting?" Darren suggested, "Should give you guys plenty of time to limber up."
<Fabian> Fabian simply nodded and saluted. Surely this couldn't be too bad, even with Drake breathing down his neck.
<Sue> "Five minutes, yep." She sat down on a forcefield and crossed her legs.
<Cecilia> Cecilia nodded. "I'll be limber...I mean, I'll..." God! What was with her today? Why did she make such a fool of herself all the time! "I'll just shut up..." she muttered.
<Sue> Sue blinked at Cecilia then giggled again. Cute!
<@Darren> Darren had to resist the urge to ruffle Cecilia's hair, but gave them a salute, jumped off the rails and vanished down an alleyway.
<Fabian> "Well, this is going to be interesting." Fabian murmured, stretching enough but mostly thinking about how to get along with this.
<Cecilia> Cecilia bounced a few times, stretching her arms. "Anybody got a game plan?" She said.
<Fabian> "If I can't burn him out I can definitely boost the two of you up. I'd say get me somewhere high so I can direct you were to put your fields."
<Sue> "Well I can maybe find him easy enough - just invisible a few things til we see him." She nodded confidently.
<Bobby> Bobby watched them make their game plan, a little smile in place.
<Cecilia> Cecilia looked at Fabian a tad nervously. "And what exactly does this boosting up do? I'm sorry, I'm not doubting your abilities," she clarified. "I'm just...cautious. I've never really explored my powers very much until I got here."
<Fabian> "Just a little bit? Gives you more energy to feed your powers, too much, burns your energy out." He nodded to Sue. "It'd probably be best to do this in quadrants so we're sure he isn't backtracking, once we clear a place we can seal it off in it's own force field."
<Sue> "Hmm.... I don't know if I can make them that big..." she eyed the buildings. That was a lot of space to cover, "Or do that much invisibility at the same time."
<Cecilia> Cecilia nodded. "Sounds like a sound plan. I didn't know you were quite the chessmaster, Cortez," she teased.
<Bobby> Bobby nodded, impressed with Fabian's plan. "If you can handle it, Sue, that is a good plan."
<Fabian> "Test it out?" Fabian fed Sue some extra energy to see how much it would increase her abilities. "I like to think that's one of my uses anyway." He smirked to Cecilia, and hey, Bobby didn't even snark about anything.
<Cecilia> "What you can't cover, I might be able to," said Cecilia to Sue. "Either way, we're not leaving without catching Darren."
<Cecilia> "When I play I aim to win."
<Sue> "I can try... but normally I couldn't even make the whole school invisible. It's too much..."
<Cecilia> Cecilia smiled. "All we can ask is that you try," she said. "You're probably going to be fine. You're much more skilled than I am at any rate." Much to her chagrin.
<Fabian> "Just as long as you two can partition off as we go and do some invisibility work a bit ahead we should be fine. He didn't give us a time limit, thankfully."
<Sue> "I can invisible things in sections... we'll have to go building by building..." She got to her feet, "Has it been five minutes yet?"
<Cecilia> Cecilia nodded. "Ready to get this show on the road?"
<Fabian> "Mind giving me a boost up?" Fabian looked to the girls, pointing up to one of the taller buildings near where they were.
<Sue> "Yeah I can do that... unless you want to?" She looked at Cecilia.
<Cecilia> Cecilia shrugged. "Probably better if you do it...So far I've only managed to extend my field and project in other places, not build constructs."
<Sue> "Okay. Try not to move around." She warned Fabian before enclosing him in a bubble and lifting him from the ground.
<Fabian> Fabian just gave a wave and a salute, standing still but testing out the headset that came with the uniform. "These things are handy, must say."
<@Darren> As Fabian appeared on the rooftop, a small, white droid hummed past, it appear to be scanning for something.
<Cecilia> Cecilia watched Fabian float up in Sue's force field bubble. "Heh, any of this reminding you guys of Glinda the Good Witch?" She joked.
<Sue> Sue carefully set Fabian down on the roof and let him out of the forcefield. "We're lacking in munchkins...."
<Cecilia> "What I'm not short enough for ya?" Said Cecilia dryly.
<Bobby> "Have fun, ladies. If you get in over your head I'm here." Bobby formed an ice slide. "Well, up there." He tossed his head toward a nearby rooftop and grinned before sliding off.
<Fabian> "I could not pull off that much pink tulle, clashes with the hair." Fabian missed the droid this time, looking down at the streets for any sign instead. "Right, all set up here, no sign yet of him."
<@Darren> The droid drifted back, beeping happily to itself as the little sensor swept the rooftop.
<Sue> "Eh you're not that short." Sue smiled, "Okay so I figure... one building at a time... I'll just invisible the lower levels.... or all the walls and leave out the furniture and everything else... I think I should be able to manage that even on the really tall buildings..."
<Cecilia> Cecilia nodded. "Okay...you do whatever you think is right. I'm probably not going to be able to do much until we actually begin the chase."
<Fabian> "Droid at the building across from me." Fabian warned them, keeping an eye on it while still looking as best as he could, keeping both girls boosted up.
<Sue> "Why is there a droid? You think it's Darren cheating?" She started selectively invisibling the walls of the buildings one at a time.
<Bobby> "It's not the droids you're looking for," Bobby tossed in helpfully.
<Sue> Sue cracked up, "Thank you, Obi-Wan."
<@Darren> The droid swept it's scanner over Fabian, and the happy beeping was replaced by a small alarm, and it's little light turned red. There was a wirring noise and a couple of machine guns popped out of the sides and trained on Fabian.
<Cecilia> Cecilia shrugged. "Probably recon...Just getting a scope of where we are before attacking."
<Cecilia> Cecilia caught the guns trained at Cortez.
<Sue> "He's not supposed to be attacking. He's supposed to be running and hiding." Sue pointed out, still working on her invisible walls.
<Cecilia> "SHIT," she hissed. Projecting a field in front of him.
<Cecilia> "Well, if he's not attacking what the hell are those? Water guns?!" Snapped Cecilia.
<Bobby> "Told you he'd cheat!" Bobby prepared to step in if necessary, even to save Cortez's ass.
<@Darren> [Oh, did I forget to mention that we're all hiding from Danger's little buddies here?] Darren's technopathic 'voice' came over the headsets, as the droid opened fire.
<Sue> Sue instinctively turned invisible when the sound of weapons fire reached her.
<Fabian> Fabian ducked behind the roof-line, swearing and laughing all at the same time. "Good times, Kent, good times." Okay, this would make watching a bit harder but not impossible considering the force fields. "Thanks for the cover."
<Cecilia> "Anytime," Cecilia said. "Get me up there," she said to Sue. "He's got no offensive or defensive powers. And I can do more to help there."
<Sue> "Okay..." she bubbled Cecilia too and send her up to join Fabian. Great. Now she was on her own in a room she was afraid of.
<@Darren> Darren popped out of cover, being chased by two droids, he cackled manically as he slid for cover behind a car and returned fire.
<Bobby> Wait, all of us? Bobby made a face and dropped the next droid he saw buzzing past with a volley of ice daggers.
<Fabian> Fabian didn't see Darren but he did see the droids. "Sue, down the street five blocks, there are droids chasing somebody."
<Cecilia> Cecilia trembled slightly as she was lifted off the ground. God, she'd forgotten how much she hated heights. As soon as she was free, she rushed, shaking, to cover where Fabian was hiding, keeping her shields up the entire time.
<@Darren> [No fun otherwise, Bobberz,] one of the driods exploded in a flash of yellow energy.
<Sue> Sue hurried off in the direction Fabian had given, keeping herself invisible. She paused long enough to fold a droid hovering near them in a forcefield and crush it.
<Cecilia> "Jesus, Cortez," she laughed, adrenaline hitting her like a shot. "Two people that have shielding powers and you don't think to bring one as a meat shield? I'm disappointed," she teased.
<@Darren> Darren blasted the second droid and popped back up from behind the car to wave at the others.
<Bobby> "Have I mentioned sometimes your idea of fun sucks, Dar!?" Bobby started to follow Sue, creating ice slides from building to building and freezing more droids as he found them.
<Fabian> "Silly me didn't think it'd be a problem. I suppose I'm not used to being on any kind of line." He chuckled to Cecilia, standing up now. "That's definitely Darren they have, he just took one of them out."
<@Darren> [Hey, hey, the droids were Danger's idea,] he blew the girls a kiss before dropping down into the subway entrance.
<Sue> Sue spied Darren and, still invisible, followed him into the subway. She carried herself on a field so as not to alert him with footsteps.
<Bobby> "So much for the high road," Bobby said, looking back at Cecilia and Fabian a few rooftops away.
<@Fabian> "Sue, can you see him?" Fabian asked, really missing actually having weapons to do something with right about now because he just felt like he was doing some grade A standing around.
<Cecilia> Cecilia eyed the ground. "If you'd like, I could try to make some platforms to get down there," said Cecilia to Fabian. "I just need a little help is all."
<Bobby> "Imma follow her in." Bobby slid in after Sue, barely spotting another droid coming in from the side. He tagged it, sending it spinning off into a parked car with a crash and explosion. "Oooh, fire pretty."
<Sue> "Yeah, I can." Sue made the surface above Darren invisible so they could see where he was, making sure to keep herself invisible too.
<@Fabian> "Once we've got a location, if she knows where he is we can pin him."
<Darren> Darren was jogging down the subway line towards the next station, whistling tunelessly to himself.
<Cecilia> Cecilia nodded. "Right."
<Darren> He then looked up, spotted the blue skies above and cursed, looking behind him for a second before kicking open a vent and diving inside.
<Sue> Sue blocked his path with a forcefield.
<@Fabian> "Ahha, there we go, can you get us to the nearest exit for him, Cecilia?"
<Bobby> Bobby caught up quickly, but more of those little droids were keeping him busy. One zoomed from a cross tunnel and shattered his ice slide, sending him crashing to the ground.
<Darren> "Hell," Darren cursed, hitting the forcefield ... now was it a forcefield or a bubble?
<Cecilia> "I can try," Cecilia said. She looked over at Fabian. "Power me up, Cortez."
<Darren> Didn't feel like a bubble ... Darren smirked and focused his energy into increasing his mass and physical strength, loosing shape as his did so and energy lines flaring as he forced himself up, smashing his way through the concrete back up to the surface of the street.
<@Fabian> Fabian pushed her up a little bit more, careful not to go too far and start burning her out. "Right, lets get down there and cut off as many exits as we can."
<Cecilia> "Jesus Christ," hissed Cecilia as a monsterous construct tore right through the ground.
<Darren> Sling-shotting ack up to street level he took a few seconds to reform himself before looking for somewhere else to run.
<Sue> Sue eeped and shielded herself as bits of the ceiling above her cracked and fell down from the force of Darren's departure.
<@Fabian> "...or that could be a bit of a problem." That just dashed his plans to hell. "Change of plans, box him in as well as you can, try to force him down to size. I trust you can get yourself out of there, Sue?"
<Bobby> Catching himself and reforming the slide, he heard the commotion from down the tunnel. "Cheaty mccheater!"
<Cecilia> Cecilia flung two shields above and to the right of Darren. "Gotcha," she laughed.
<Darren> [Duh!] Darren laughed, going to run right and slamming so hard into the shield he bounced off it, "Gah!"
<Cecilia> Cecilia winced. Christ, she felt that! She actually felt the impact of a blow! That'd never happened before! "Ow..."
<Sue> "Uh... yeah... when I can see where I'm going..." she invisibled the cloud of dust that rose up around her, deciding to aim for the hole Darren had left.
<Darren> Ahhh, now they were trying to direct him somewhere, crafty forcefield girls. He didn't have much of a choice though so he dodged left.
<Bobby> Bobby was now playing catch up himself, so he backtracked back out of the subway to catch up on the surface streets instead.
<Cecilia> "Sue, can you step in?" said Cecilia over the comm. "I'll be there... right after I remember how to breathe..."
<Sue> "Where am I stepping in to?" She popped out of the hole in the ground, standing on a field and swung an invisible tunnel around to locate Darren.
<Cecilia> Cecilia grimaced. She felt like she'd been kicked in the chest and she was doubled over, unable to straighten up. "Uh...try to...get him on the ground? I dunno..." Fuck, she needed an aspirin.
<Sue> "Need to find him first... are you alright?"
<Bobby> Changing direction, Bobby went to Cecilia instead of chasing Darren. "You okay there, chica?"
<Darren> Hmm, he was in a side street, but the walls seemed to have tailed off, [Everything okay with you guys?]
<Cecilia> Cecilia shook her head. Feeling slightly embarrassed. "I'm fine. Get Darren. I'll be okay in a minute." I hope
<@Fabian> "Cecilia's still got him, three blocks down from where you are I believe." This was just getting tiresome, not burning Darren out...but if he did it at this moment the brunt of Darren losing control would just go onto Cecilia's fields.
<@Fabian> "Nevermind, he just jutted off, go another block to cut him off."
<Sue> Sue swung her field that way. Aha! She sealed Darren in a box just to watch him run into one of the walls. "Gotcha!"
<Bobby> Bobby frowned, watching Cecilia pant and Fabian keeping on task.
<Cecilia> Cecilia looked on as Sue captured Darren. Something she should've been able to do. If she hadn't been so pathetic...
<@Fabian> "Now compress. Once you've got it small enough he won't do too much damage to you I can work."
<Cecilia> Cecilia struggled to her feet and straightened up, forcefully. Sending jolts of pain down her side. "AGH! Sonofabitch! This hasn't happened to me before I swear."
<Bobby> "You just boost powers, don'tcha? Now is when it would be handy for you to be able to block them." Bobby watched the action, then jumping to help Cecilia.
<Sue> "I'll be fine, small fields would do more damage for the containment, go for it." Sue prepared to morph her field to whatever shape she needed.
<@Fabian> "I block them in my own way." Fabian smarted off, smirking and starting to burn away at Darren once Sue gave him the word.
<Cecilia> Cecilia stared at her feet dejectedly. Sue was better at her powers than she was, Sue could do more than she could, Sue didn't double up in pain at the worst goddamn moment. Why the hell was she even needed?
<Darren> Darren sprawled backwards on the floor after bouncing off the forcefield, and a quick check proved he was boxed in. He smirked to himself, the kids did well ... why was he glowing brighter?
<Bobby> Bobby rolled his eyes and decided to ignore Cortez again. Shifting back to flesh, he supported Cecilia. "You feeling any better?"
<Cecilia> "Yes," she lied. "I'm okay, thanks. I'm fine. No more problems, really."
<Darren> [... Cortez? Knock it oooooffff...] Darren's voice came over the ear pieces as the light started to become blinding.
<@Fabian> "Is that a surrender?" Fabian chuckled on his end.
<Bobby> Bobby gave Cecilia a dubious look. "You don't look fine..."
<Darren> [I would have ... owch, owch, owch ... okay, okay! I surrender, but it's a bit pointless given how I'm already boxed in good, knock it off before I explode!]
<Sue> "Probably just needs a lie down," Sue guessed. "I used to be like that."
<Cecilia> Cecilia looked at Sue. "You've had this problem?"
<@Fabian> Fabian let go, looking pleased with himself as he made his way to the fire exit to climb his way down.
<Bobby> "You okay, Dare?" He watched Cortez leave.
<Sue> "Used to get nose bleeds and pass out if there was even a tap on my fields." Sue confirmed.
<Cecilia> That was...comforting. At least she knew now it wasn't just her. "Thanks, guys," she said to Bobby and Sue. "You didn't have to stop and help me..."
<Darren> Darren did a hopping little dance and fired some of the excess energy up into the sky to get rid of it, "Yeah, yeah, I'm good, just ... ugh, feels really gross when he does that," he kicked up into the air to join the others.
<Sue> Sue enclosed herself in a field and flew her way to the others now that their objective was complete.
<Bobby> "That's what I'm here for, babe." Bobby gave her a squeeze and a wink before letting her go, seeming she could stand on her own now.
<Cecilia> Cecilia felt her heart go a bit warm at that. "You're a really nice guy..." she said "Uh...I don't mean that in the way you think! I, uh, I just mean you've been good to me and I...appreciate that!"
<Darren> Darren landed on the roof with a smile, the energy lines fading away, "Nice job guys, you all did well, especially you kiddo," he gave Cee a warm smile, "you guys came up with a good game plan and coped well when we sprung the droids on you.
<Sue> Sue giggled, setting herself down near them.
<Cecilia> He'd been there for her more than Fabian, she noticed. He was standing right there and didn't even stop to check if she was okay.
<Cecilia> Cecilia coloured a little. "Thanks, I was enjoying myself. The fast paced environment’s...thrilling, really."
<Bobby> Bobby just grinned at Cecilia.
<@Fabian> Fabian finally caught up to the others. "What did I miss now?"
<Cecilia> Cecilia scowled at Fabian. "Nothing exciting," she said shortly.
<@Fabian> "...what'd I do?"
<Darren> "Good," Darren nodded, "given that this was your first ever training session, you did very well, if you wanna improve though, Sue here's probably your best bet. You wouldn't mind giving her some pointers would you, Susie?"
<Sue> Sue shook her head, "Of course not. I'll even let her do my Sue Storm training course." She nodded with a grin, "Guaranteed to make you lazy as hell."
<Cecilia> Cecilia felt her pride bruise a bit at that...She didn't want to be the fuck-up that needed help. It was bad enough she couldn't do her homework, now she had to fuck up in training?
<Bobby> "Wouldn't have killed you to check on her, Cortez," he added, crossing his arms again.
<Cecilia> "Thanks, Sue," Cecilia said a little sadly.
<Sue> "No problem," she smiled, "First tip: Sleep. I'm not kidding. If you get lots of nice sleep, your brain can take bigger hits."
<Cecilia> "Noted," said Cecilia. "That...well, Darren that felt like a brick to the chest. You pack one hell of a punch."
<Cecilia> "I'm sorry for the guys that meet us!"
<Darren> Noooo, no sad girl! "Once you've gotten a few of the self defense classes under your belt, I'll start taking you out on patrol if you feel up to it," Darren told her.
<Cecilia> Cecilia nodded. "I'm more than up for it, so long as no-one leaves me when I get hurt," she said, directing that shot to Fabian.
<Darren> Darren chuckled at that, "Yeah, sorry, I can alter the density of my mass, I didn't mean to bounce off you so hard then."
<@Fabian> Fabian just held his arms out, silently defending himself with the fact that he had been on the roof and there was fuck all he could have done. It was pointless, though.
<Sue> "Are we done now? Because I feel like playing with the lake for a bit..."
<Cecilia> Serves you right for being a crappy friend, Cecilia thought angrily.
<Bobby> Bobby suppressed his smirk at Cecilia's outburst. She was a feisty one.
<Darren> "Was that playing WITH the lake you just said?" Darren frowned at the girl.
<Bobby> "She likes to molest my water," Bobby added.
<Sue> Sue nodded, "Yep. It's the only way I can see the shapes I make...." She shrugged.
<@Fabian> "I like to think she's looking for treasure." Fabian chuckled, deciding just to put the outbursts aside. "Should we worry about having to chase you about places anymore now?"
<Cecilia> Cecilia straightened up. "Well, if it's okay with you guys. I'm gonna head out, I need a shower and some painkillers..."
<Cecilia> Cecilia leaned over to Fabian as she passed. "Next time, Cortez. You can save your own ass. Because I'm not putting mine on the line for those who don't give a shit about me!" She hissed.
<Cecilia> And with her piece said, Cecilia marched off towards the door.
<Sue> "Take a nap," Sue advised, "You'll feel much better!"
<Bobby> Definitely feisty. He liked that one. Bobby suppressed another smirk.
<Darren> "Oh no, you all passed. You can all fuck off now-" he blinked at the outburst and watched Cee storm off, then looked around the others, "... What did I miss? You use her as a human shield against the drones, Cortez?"
<Sue> "Mutant." Sue corrected before she could stop herself.
<@Fabian> Fabian just gave her a bit of a look at that. "Apparently I was to go running even after Bobby was all ready there. I don't even know."
<@Fabian> "I doubt seriously anyone wants me to use my healing on them so it can't be that?"
<Bobby> "We're still human too, Sue," Bobby reminded her. He wasn't going to get into it with Cortez.
<Sue> "Not if you believe the fliers." She shrugged and started for the door.
<Bobby> "The fliers are wrong," he said, watching her go.
<Darren> "... Human shield," Darren repeated, but then gave a small shrug. He made a point of not getting involved with other people's shit, "but yeah, fuck off now. I'm gonna go get me a sammich."
<@Fabian> "Not a half bad idea." Fabian didn't clarify whether or not he meant the human shield, fucking off, or the sandwich as he headed out.
<Bobby> Bobby just shook his head. "Sammich and beer."
