1/23 Game: Friends of BOOM!

Post by Starfish »

Timeline: Jan. 26. 2012

Miranda: Miranda climbed out of the school van and smoothed down her dress. Goodwill nurses. Right. She could do this. "So... Dr. McCoy's sure we can't get this just from being close to the sicklies?"

Rogue: "Nope. We cain't." She grinned, "Think Ah'd be dead by now if we could."

Adriana: "Awww, don't be mean Miri." Adriana climbed out of the van too, an...extravagant sight, to say the least, since fake wings and the tail seemed to somehow have merged with the inside of the car. Also, she didn't want to squish Frederick:

Adriana: ((http://media.photobucket.com/image/goth ... atgirl.jpg ))

Kitty: "Thank heavens for that," Kitty nodded unbuckling her seat belt and climbing out as well. "Do we need to check in with anyone or are they expecting us?" She fiddled with her name tag that identified her as a volunteer aide.

Rogue: Rogue hopped down from the driver's seat and walked around to the others.

Miranda: Well, I'm not trying to be mean... just, um, concerned?" She scratched her neck nervously and joined the small group. "I think they said they're expecting us. Dr. Summers set it up..."

Selene: "I have always had a love and hate relationship with hospitals," Selene remarked, her gaze passing over the building's facade as she stepped out of the van. She straightened her nurse outfit of weird inverted colours (as in - black), but she still shot Adriana glances every now and then.

Selene: "Is it just me, or was I outdone on the weird clothes front," she asked under her breath, addressing no one in particular.

Rogue: "C'mon, gals, let's go ask who needs some TLC, huh?" She grinned and smoothed her skirt, starting to head towards the hospital, walking backwards some to watch them.

Miranda: "Nope, I think she won, Sel." Miranda petted Adriana's wing.

Adriana: "We're going to cheer up some sick people with this outfit today, won't we Frederick?" She held the bandaged plush cat up and rubbed her nose on its.

Selene: "Absolutely preposterous," Selene muttered, following the others, but with her eyes still on Adriana's outfit. "In the end, I'll have to ask her for clothing advice."

Kitty: "I haven't had to be in a hospital since I had appendicitis," Kitty mused quietly. "After they started the Registration Act, my parents were afraid to take me to the doctor." She grinned at Rogue, glad to see her happy again - with good reason. She followed them through the enterance doors.

Guy: Guy looked up from blowing warm breathe on his freezing hands. Holding up a sign that said "Satan is a mutant" all day during January certainly wasn't his kind of fun. But whatever has to be done to fight the good fight.

Selene: "So, what are we supposed to do here, anyway," Selene asked, looking from one to the next. "Will there be actual medical procedures and pointy devices involved, or shall we simply serve as eye candy for the sickly?"

Adriana: "Oh, please do Sel! I have been wondering whether I should enlarge my eBay shop beyond hats, you would make a perfect model!"

Miranda: Miranda turned her petting to Selene's shoulder as they walked, but she nearly missed a step when she noticed the small group just outside the hospital's doors.

Guy: He looked at the weird group of nurses coming their way, and then he poked the guy to his right with his ellbow. "I think that's them!"

Rogue: Rogue turned around when they got closer to the doors and nearly tripped over her own feet at what was waiting on them. "'Scuse us. We got jobs ta do."

Selene: "Only if I'll get paid in outlandish clothes," Selene replied, tilting her head thoughtfully while she tapped a finger against her lip. She looked at Kitty. "I occasionally visit them. I used to do it more often before I came to Xavier's, though."

Adriana: "Sure!" Then she put a finger on her lip, as always when she was thinking about something. "But I don't really have too much in black..."

Kitty: KItty bit at her fingernail. She couldn't help remembering the trip to Africa and the horrible conditions at the make shift hospital there. At least this was a clean, modern hospital where the mutants would get good care... and it actually had walls. She smiled at Selene. "What did you do? Volunteer, like now?"

Selene: "I like other colours, too," Selene remarked. "You can rarely go wrong with red, for example."

Jules: "Or rainbows." Julie suggested, showing up out of nowhere with *zzip*, her usual trademark behind her.

Adriana: "EEK!" Adriana managed the incredible feat of jumping away in surprise and bitchslapping Julie with Frederick at the same time.

Rogue: Rogue jumped at the new girl and had to stop to take a breath, "What in tha hell, gal!"

Selene: Selene turned to give Kitty a thoughtful look for a moment. "No, nothing like that, in fact" she eventually replied. "It's a bit complicated to explain, but..." She was cut short when Julie popped up out of nowhere, making a scared jump.

Jules: "Ow!" She rubbed her cheek. "Holy cuss!" She looked around. "I was just told you peeps were here, I show up an' you slap me?" She frowned. "Did anyone bring a doughnut by the way?"

Kitty: Kitty was listening to Selene when Julie zipped up, startling the whole lot of them. If she'd had her purse with her, she'd have clutched it tighter. "Julie... what are you doing here?"

Guy: Now, as another girl arrived with a speed that was humanly impossible, the group was sure what the were seeing. Small shouts of "Go to hell!" and "God hates muties!" started to emerge from the group.

Miranda: Ooooh, rainbow! Pretty. Her smile at the new student turned to a frown at the shouting. "Uhoh..."

Jules: "Well I was going to just drop by and say hi but... who is that jerk?" She pointed. "He's being uninformative and rude."

Adriana: Adriana calmed down again and looked over to the group of men and women shouting at them. She really noticed them now for the first time, and also... "They#re holding up signs."

Rogue: "Ignore them." She held her hand out, "Ah'm Rogue."

Selene: Selene fell silent and narrowed her eyes at the person shouting rude insults in their direction. "Please tell me we're allowed to use the defibrillator," she muttered.

Miranda: Automatically, she looked for Graydon, but didn't see him. In fact, she didn't recognize any of them, although several were wearing those ugly Friends of Humanity jackets. "Can we... walk faster?"

Kitty: The group of mutant haters, made Kitty very nervous. "Why don't we just get inside?" she nodded in agreement with Miranda and started walking faster.

Jules: Julie shook it vigorously. "Hi Rogue, I love your hair." She looked to Selene and raised an eyebrow.

Guy: "Mutants go home! Mutants go ho-..." Guy's chant got disrupted by a crazily dressed up bird-cat-hybrid mutie looking curiously directly into his face from maybe two inches away.

Adriana: "Why do you hate us?," Adriana asked, honestly and openly curious, it seemed.

Selene: Selene dreaded the fact that no objects suited for violent tossing had fit anywhere inside her tightly fitting outfit, instead following the others as they sped up.

Miranda: "Um... what's Adriana doing?" Miranda stopped when the girl moved toward the crazy instead of away. "Should, we, like... save?"

Selene: "Shall I fetch syringes to stick into them," Selene asked, eyes lighting up with wicked excitement. "We could also threaten them with catheters

Jules: Julie covered her eyes. "Oh noes!" She cried out.

Rogue: "So ya said. Why?" She took her hand back and turned to Miranda, "Adrana's always been a lil... forward."

Kitty: "No, we should get inside," Kitty insisted. "We came here to help - not fight with these animals." She stopped with the group, but looked at the hospital enterance longingly.

Miranda: "Is that code for suicidal?" She took a few steps closer to the door. Oh, so close! "I could try to, um, make them all happy? They'll just hug her and let us go?"

Rogue: "Could be," she laughed. Not even those jerks could get her down today.

Guy: "You are an abomination before God!" The other agreed with him quite loudly.

Adriana: "That is a bit of a weak reason, you know? I mean, if God has created everything he has also created abominations..." She tilted her head a bit and gave the group a long, thoughtful look. Then she decided that they were too illogical and therefore uninteresting and turned away to join her friends again.

Miranda: "Yeahkay..." The signs were waving now. One featured a very colorful mutant burning in what she assumed was hell.

Rogue: Well, at least she had her 'human' sticker. Not like it did her any good since she hung out with 'mutie freaks'. She rolled her eyes. Hopefully she wouldn't get put into a brick wall again... That hurt and took a while to get better.

Selene: "Well, at least they know how to make proper compliment," Selene commented, smirking at the flock of angry humans. "Still, their uninspired insults bore me. Let's go inside." She turned and headed through the door.

Jules: "Yeah! and you smell like an old salami sandwich!" Julie said, sticking her tongue out. "Go flush your head in a toilet!"

Guy: "U. S. A! U. S. A!"

Rogue: Rogue couldn't help it, that made her laugh.

Jules: "Socialism all the way!" She cried out. "Down with .... whatever you represent!"

Kitty: She bristled at that, "You are the abominations," she said quietly. "You hate anything and anyone who is different from you." Kitty followed Selene, her mood definately ruined now.

Rogue: "They're friends o' humanity hun. Mutant haters basically..."

Jules: "Well down with being friends of humanity-Waitasec... that doesn't make any sense." She thought about that for a moment.

Miranda: Okay, that wasn't helping either... Miranda tried wafting some feel-good juice, but she wasn't too sure how it would go, so instead she aimed for the nearest target - Julie. "Why don't we go inside and just ignore the crazies?" She put an arm around the girl's shoulders.

Jules: "Omgsh... you suddenly smell like my favorite candy." She looked at Miranda. "I think I love you."

Rogue: Rogue shook her head and rolled her eyes a bit, "Nope." She headed in through the doors ahead of Miranda and Julie, looking around for the nurses station to check in.

Miranda: Maybe too much. She grinned and pulled it back. "Thank you!"

Adriana: "They are lame is what they are. I mean, their logic isn't even circular! You can poke a hole in it like...a fresh pie?" She squeezed and stretched Frederick quite lively. Obviously the fact of a STUPID mob agitated her far more than the fct of a mob per se.

Miranda: ((time jump a bit to them helping out on the mutant ward))

Kitty: Kitty set the pitcher of ice water on the side table and helped the middle aged man in the hospital bed raise up a bit so he could see the TV better. It was a 'Green Acres' marathon today. She gave him a smile and patted his back as he started coughing again.

Jules: Julie stood in a corner, afraid to move. She didn't like needles. Why did I come? she wondered in her head.

Rogue: Rogue sat on the edge of a child's bed, playing 'blow up the barbie' with him for a few minutes. He didn't look too much younger than Leech... But he wasn't too bad off yet, so maybe they would figure out some kind of cure before things went south for him.

Miranda: Hospitals were depressing on a good day, but this was just sad, sad, sad. All the mutants were segregated in one ward. Although the real nurses seemed nice enough, they were clearly nervous.

Selene: Selene had her hands on the cabinet with pointy instruments and medicine, staring through the glass front like a child in a candy shop. Eventually, one of the proper nurses shooed her away. Again.

Adriana: Adriana was skipping through the halls of the hsopital with a whole bunch of children as a tail, laughing and giggling and generally having fun. They were quite fascinated about the interesting things she told them about beetles burrowing in corpses and the likes, and now they were on their way to sing "Ittsy Bittsy Spider" to a few of the Legacy-victims.

Jules: Julie smiled to a young woman, or forced a smile rather. She waved a little.

Miranda: Miranda was reading to a woman not much older than her. She had no eyes, but before she'd gotten sick she could see, she'd told her. As much as Miranda loved Cosmo, reading it out loud was awkward.

Miranda: And it's not like this woman would ever be able to match her clothes again anyway.

Adriana: They were arriving in the mutants' ward. Most grown ups would at least feel awkward entering here, but for the chldren the sick mutants were just another kind of people. They stood in front of the bed of an older, purple man. "Okay children, are you re-...Charlie, I told you to leave my tail alone, didn't I?" She shook a finger at a seven years old with an arm in a cast that was tucking at her false tail.

Kitty: It was really really hard to keep a smile on when Kitty looked around the ward. There were so many mutants here in varying stages of the virus. She brought a teenage girl a few years younger than her a cup of ice chips. "You're welcome," she smiled at the girl's telepathic , since she had lost her voice coughing so much.

Selene: Selene returned to the patients she was supposed to look after, sitting down on a small stool next to a boy in one of the beds. He stared up at her, looking uneasy. She looked back at him in the same way. After a few minutes of mutual staring, he announced to the head nurse that the new colleague wasn't making him feel any better.

Rogue: Rogue laughed as the boy sent the barbie off the bed and she fetched it for him, handing it back and standing. She smoothed a hand over his hair and went to fetch him a lime popsicle like he had requested.

Jules: A man in a wheel chair with webbed feet rolled over to Julie. "Do you have a pen?" he asked in a very croaky voice. "I want to play hangman." Julie nearly broke into tears. She took out a pen from her purple purse and gave it to him. He said thank you and wheeled away.

Miranda: "So, like, they say purple's still gonna be a hot color, which makes me happy, 'cause I have these purple shoes with bows that are just fun!" The woman laughed, but then coughed. It was a horrible hacking sound and Miranda dropped her magazine to get her water and tissue box. "...sorry." She bit her lip.

Adriana: After they were done with the man and had received a big smile and applause, the pied piper and her group of slightly damaged singers moved on, now to the bed at which Selene was standing. "Look kids, it's Selene! I told you about her! What do you do when you're around her?" The children hesiteted at first, but one after the other produced a, sometimes more, sometimes less, crumbled piece of paper, all of them having a bright yellowd lemon painted on them.

Selene: Selene wondered what she was supposed to do. Perform some tricks or imitate one of those dreaded mimes? No, that most likely wouldn't have helped to restore those people's faith in life. "I don't think I'm very good at this," she sighed under her breath. "How about I tell you a story about..." Selene trailed off when Andriana came over, chased by children.

FritzvonMeyer: Von Meyer entered the mutants ward with a friendly nod towards the nurses, a stethoscope around his neck and a black suitcase in his hand. From time to time he looked at one of the charts and would speak a nice word with one of the patients.

Kitty: "Go fish." Kitty had settled in a chair next to the girl and pointed at the deck of card. "Oh man!" she groaned, when telepath drew the card she needed and laid down another set. Then she laughed at a joke the girl put in her head. "Very funny!" she smirked.

Adriana: "Now, children, don't be afraid, give them to her!" So about half a wood worth of paper got shoved at Selene, some of it quite sticky.

Miranda: Miranda scratched her neck again after the woman settled down. She picked the magazine back up and flipped through it listlessly. Finally she perked up. "Oh! How about a sex quiz?"

Selene: Selene stared at the children and their lemon paintings in silence for a while, concluding that she'd better start to run if they were to launch into an obscure chant. "Hello," she said warily, then cautiously took the lemon papers. Some were stuck to her uniform. "Thank you..."

FritzvonMeyer: He passed the group of children standing around one bed...for a moment his face seemed blurry, as a wave of muscle contractions wandered over it...but then it relaxed again and a seemingly genuine smile appeared again, which got even wider when he saw one certain volunteer.

Kitty: Turning her head, Kitty laughed at Selene being surrounded by children. "Hm?" she turned back towards the girl. "Oh, that's Selene. She likes lemons."

Selene: "I don't have to keep them, do I," Selene asked Adriana, before looking back and forth between her and the children. "The children, I mean. The paintings are... rather fascinating."

Adriana: "No Sel, what do you say when you get pictures as beautiful as those?" Obviously, Adrianaa expecte a bit more than a "thank you"...and also seemed willing to force it, some way or another.

Miranda: "...see, I don't think they can fake it, because - hello! Kinda hard to miss that." Miranda giggled, writing in answers.

FritzvonMeyer: He stepped to the bed right next to Miranda and gave the patient lying there a big smile. "How are you today, Miss Jones?"

Jules: A young boy was trying to open a tin can of cookies. Julie frowned and bent down to help him. He smiled at her, his mouth filled with fangs and his eyes purple. "Huh." She said, struck with sudden curiosity. She opened the tin can of goodies, took one for herself and pat him on the head as she sat down with him.

Rogue: Rogue brought the popsicle back, handing it over with a flourish and a mini-curtsey. The boy laughed and bowed as much as he could sitting in bed. And then he started coughing. Rogue winced and put the popsicle in a styrofoam cup to save while she helped him find the tissues. Not a lot of blood, but there were a couple of drops... She gave him a smile and rubbed his back some.

Jules: The boy sneezed and his cookie turned from a small ginger snap into a very large chocolate chip cookie. Julie was impressed and gave him a thumbs up. He ate it happily.

Miranda: Miranda paused, doodling in the margins while Miss Jones talked to the doctor. She smiled up at him.

Selene: All the children were staring at her with their innocent and expectant eyes. Selene didn't know if she had ever been that scared in her life. She forced herself to flash a wide, eerie grin. "Why thank you, children," she said, trying to sound as cheerful as possible. "That's really thoughtful of you. I do like lemons indeed."

FritzvonMeyer: When he received a reassuring smile, he looked down to the girl. "Hello there. The name is Meyer, I'm a doctor and appreciate a lot what you are doing here. In fact, I have heard a lot of very nice things about you from a friend of mine." The way he said "you" didn't make it very clear whether he meant "you, the mutants", or "you, Miranda"...

Adriana: "Yay, you made her happy! And she isn't even sick! Isn't that great?" She clapped, and the children followed right away with a lot of cheering and clapping...Except Charlie, who rather stoped with his feet than try to clap with his broken arm.

Miranda: "Oh. Well, thank you." She kept smiling, but was a little confused. "Um, this is the first time I've been here, actually, but I'm enjoying visiting with Melissa here." She smiled at the woman. Oh right. No eyes. So she patted her hand.

FritzvonMeyer: "That is nice..." Suddenly a ring could be heard from the chest pocket of his labcoat, and with an appologetic gesture he pulled out his cellphone. "Yes?...Oh, Guy...Yes...Yes, I know...Yes, I DO believe he is great..."

FritzvonMeyer: He gave Miranda a sorry smile and then waved at her while he went off. "Yes...What his son did for us IS pretty impressive, absolutely..."

FritzvonMeyer: And with that he left the ward again...without a suitcase this time.

Miranda: Miranda looked back down at her magazine. Something about this guy was kind of weird, but maybe it was because he was treating mutants and his weird was just bleeding over? She waved at him and went back to her quiz.

Rogue: The boy settled a bit and took a breath and Rogue held up the trashcan for him to try and 'make a shot' with the tissues. "Score! Two points!" She grinned and was about to sit back on the bed when a girl a year or so older than Johnny ran between her and the bed, jumping up to land on her knees next to the boy. "Whoa. Hey there."

Rogue: The girl looked at her and gave her a grin, showing she had the same swirling golden eyes as the boy. Ah, brother and sister then? She certainly looked well enough...

Jules: Julie ate another cookie happily giggling with the young boy. "Cookies!" They said together, high-fiving.

Kitty: Kitty laughed, "You win!" she admitted defeat to the other girl. "I need more pratice. You feel like dealing or want me too?" Nodding, Kitty pick up the cards and shuffled them.

Selene: Selene confusedly stared after them when the kids were following Adriana to their next victim, then turned to head in the opposite direction. She walked past some of the others beds, still carrying an armful of papers with painted lemons, trying to find one the other girls.

Miranda: "Oh, I don't know, I think after a while that'd make you walk funny." Miranda giggled and chewed the end of the pen. Ohwait! Remember the mutant killing virus! She spit it out and juggled it, dropping it onto the floor. "Whoopsishit!" It rolled under Melissa's bed, and she slid out of the chair to fetch it.

Adriana: "Okay kids, it's naptime!" The children moaned and bitched about it, not wanting to go yet. "Now now, we don't want to make the head nurse mad, do we? She won't let me come and play again if we do!" That worked.

Selene: Selene paused at one of the carts with food and drink, pouring a glass of cold water for herself. She looked over the sheets with painted lemons. Admittedly, that had been a pleasant, albeit strange, gesture. Perhaps she could paint something herself for the sick mutants. She'd probably be better at that than she was at making uplifting conversation.

Rogue: Gus and his sister fought over whether the barbie and G.I. Joe should marry or try and kill each other for a minute while Rogue fixed the flowers by his bed and poured more water into his glass. His sister took the popsicle with a bright grin and he started whining until Rogue said she'd get him another.

Miranda: Stretching to reach it, she noticed something at the foot of the bed, barely visible under the footboard. "Oh hey," her voice echoed from beneath the bed. "I think Dr. Meyer forgot his--"

Miranda: She didn't get to complete her sentence. The briefcase became the center of a blast of light and shrapnel, the sound deafening in the enclosed ward.

Miranda: ((BIG BOOM!!!!))

Rogue: Rogue instantly reacted and threw herself on top of the kids, holding them down to the bed and wincing, hoping they were alright under her and wishing she was still invulnerable.

Adriana: Adriana was taken off her feet, more by surprise than by the sheer froce of the explosion, which was still impressive. She landed in a big pile of crying and screaming children, although that rather steemed from the surprise than any real injuries. Her body and the fake wings had taken most of the brunt of the blast.

Jules: Julie was shot backwards, her head knocking against a wall and rendering her firmly unconscious.

Kitty: Kitty was laughing at another joke Cindy, the silent mutant had made when and enormous shock wave hit her and knocked her over the bed. Instinctively, she she phased herself and the girl as objects and debris literally flew through them both.

Selene: The sheets of paper with the brightly painted lemons scattered through the air when a shock-wave pushed her tumbling into the cart, the carafes with ice cold water shattering around her. She hit the ground, landing in a pool of water and glass shards, debris raining down on her.

Guy: Guy heard a resounding boom from inside the building, which seemed to be doing a quick jump, then he closed his cellphone. "Thy will be done."

Selene: Selene tasted blood in her mouth. Some of the splinters and shards must have cut the skin on her lips and cheeks when they had been turned into vicious shrapnel by the blast. The ringing in her ears slowly subsided while the ceiling above her slowed down its spin. She felt cold.

Rogue: Rogue kept the children as covered as she could, waiting for the last bit of debris to rain on them before lifting a tiny bit to make sure they were alright. They were both crying, but mostly ok. Gus looked up at her with big eyes as he clung to his sister and she gave him a slight smile that didn't quite reach her eyes before turning to see the damage. "Oh mah Gawd."

Adriana: She got herself up again, on wonky legs and severely disoriented. Nurses and doctors streamed in from everyhwere, taking care of the crying children. That was at least something, but where did this annoying ringing come from?

Rogue: Gus poked her in the back and she hissed at the pain. She looked back at him and he told her about the glass and metal bits stuck to her. She grinned and told him she was like a human magnet. Great, lying to kids... It hurt, but really, that was her least concern at the moment.

Kitty: "What happened??" Kitty yelled, barely about to hear herself let alone anyone else over the ringing in her ears. She tried around for her friends, but the dust kicked up from the explosion made it hard to see anything.

Selene: Selene realized that the cold was coming from the icy water that had spilled all over her, now forming a puddle around her. She took a few deep breaths, her heartbeat slowing down as she began to regain control of her body and senses. The moment she believed to start thinking clearly again, things got much more worse.

Kitty: Kitty sat up and solidified. "You ok?" she asked the girl. Cindy nodded, shaking like a leaf. "Ok... I'm going to go find out what happened. You just stay here..." She stood up, unaffected by the explosion itself, protected by her phasing ability...except the horrible ringing in her ears. "Miri? Rogue? Selene? Is everyone ok??"

Adriana: She nodded at a doctor asking her whether she was okay, then she reached out for her head. Not to check for injuries but...Oh good, her cat ears were still there.

Rogue: Rogue turned back to the mess and carefully stepped through the dust, "Ah'm here!" She coughed and waved her arms at the air. "Miranda? Adriana?"

Adriana: "Here!...The children are okay too, I think!"

Adriana: Then something hit her head...it seemed to be a stone, but one side of it was suspiciousy smooth...Then she looked up. "There are cracks in the ceiling!"

Kitty: Quickly, Kitty scrambled over the demolished beds and medical equipment to Rogue. "Julie?" she called out, then saw her being toted away on a stretcher by the orderlies.

Rogue: Rogue covered her mouth with her arm, not wanting to use her glove covered hand just in case. "Miranda?!" The bed was in bits and the girl who was in it was too...

Kitty: Kitty looked up when she heard Adriana. "On my God!" she gasped. "We've got to get everyone out here!" Plaster creaked above their heads.

Selene: Selene sucked in the air, then held her breath, her body tensing up with painful force. She couldn't prevent what was happening. The shock and pain from the explosion had given control to the more instinct-driven parts of her mind. Taking over in an effort to protect her from harm, it sought out the necessary sustenance; finding it in the fading essence of the dead and dying.

Miranda: Everything hurt. Why did everything hurt? And she was sleeping in the weirdest position ever.

Rogue: Rogue made her way carefully and as quickly as possible to the bed. "We gotta get Miranda!" She saw a foot with a cute shoe and went to try and lift debris and the bed from it, thankful the leg was still attached. "Miranda can ya hear me, hun?!"

Adriana: "Evacuate!" But despite of her words, Adriana just stood still, concentrating. Shortly after that, an all too familiar marching sound could be heard by the students, and thousands of beetles, ands, and other insects started to creep up from cracks in the ground and towards the ciling, filling the cracks up there.

Adriana: In between beds and recovering patients, crawling pillars of moving mass errected themselves to support the ceiling even further.

Kitty: "I can phase her out," Kitty offered, starting to reach through the twisted metal that used to be a bed.

Miranda: She shrieked, kicking at the pressure on her foot as she woke up to remember where she was. "Oh my God!"

Rogue: "Please do!" Rogue grunted with the effort of trying to free her, ignoring the gore she was touching that used to be the eyeless girl. "Thank God," she breathed out when she heard Miranda.

Kitty: "MIri - it's ok, it's Kitty, we're going to get you out from under there!" she called out loudly. A moment later, Miranada was phasing up through the debris. Kitty made sure she was free of any debris before she unphased her and helped her sit up.

Selene: Death had always been lingering during Selene's previous visits to hospitals, but never before had it come at such a sudden severity. She forced herself to raise to her knees as passing memories and volatile emotions of the recently dead surged through her mind, granting her their energy, but also sharing their terrible last moments with her.

Miranda: Miranda really didn't think it was okay, and her screaming just intensified. Through the bed?! Through? "Ohm'God!" The disorientation was horrible, and the moment she was able she clung to Kitty. She caught sight of the bed and screamed again. Blood, everywhere.

Adriana: More and more bits of debris started to rain down on people, and Adriana could tell that even with her little friends supporting the ceilings, it soon would give. "Get. Out!"

Kitty: "It's ok, it's all right," Kitty hugged Miranda tight, "Everything's going to be all right!" She felt tears running down her face. "Miri, we all have to get out of here. Can you walk??"

Rogue: Rogue winced at Miranda's scream, "We gotta get out hun..." She turned to look at the kids she had been helping and they were looking at her with huge frightened eyes, trying to get away from the bugs it seemed. She ran over and scooped them both up, holding them tight as she made her way out of the room.

Selene: Selene cried out like a scared animal, scrambling across the debris covered floor. Confusion and fear dominated her mind, making any rational thought almost impossible. The subconscious part of her mind knew that this weren't her memories and emotions, fighting for control with her utterly confused consciousness and the feral instincts that had taken over.

Miranda: "I-i d-d-dunno..." She tried and wobbled up, slipping in the blood and crying. It hurt, but she could move.

Kitty: "Good," Kitty encouraged her, helping her till she was on her feet. "Follow Rogue," She turned and made her way back to Cindy. Helping her over a pile of rubble, they started heading towards the exit, helping up and urging all the other patients who could move to follow suite.

Adriana: They had no more time, and as sorry as she was about forcing this, the girl called out even more of her tiny armies, which started to form small ripples that became waves and transported out who wouldn't or couldn't move on their own. She made sure that all the important devices stood connected to the patients, hoping that they had batteries.

Selene: Desperately invoking any method of focusing her mind that she had learned, Selene was slowly able to reign in the wild onslaught of memories and emotions, finally able to regain a semblance of self-control. She panted heavily as she got back to her feet, her gaze passing over the scene of destruction.

Miranda: Miranda just nodded, hugging herself tightly and staggering along. She felt like she should do something for Melissa... but sex quizzes weren't going to help this.

Rogue: Gus and Lauren were both clinging to Rogue and crying and she was doing her best to keep them calm, singing songs from her childhood to them as they moved down to a safer area. No nursery rhymes...

Kitty: "Selene! Come on!" Kitty yelled to the dark haired girl. "We have to go!! The ceiling is going to collapse!" She doubled back to where Selene was standing, "This way," she said gently to her. Selense seemed shell shocked.

Selene: Selene took a few cautious steps. The air was filled with dust and smoke, the screams of the fearful, and the moans of the wounded. She barely noticed what seemed to be... insects... carrying people away to safety. Her name being called finally had her snap out of her trance. She looked up, spotting Kitty.

Miranda: Through her daze she noticed the floor moving and eeped. Bugs! ...Adriana. But ew! Ew, ew, ew! She sped up her shuffle to catch up to Rogue. "Oh my God. What if there's more? T-there could be more! We need to get outside!" Her voice getting more strident with each word.

Kitty: Kitty held out her hand to Selene, "Come on, Selene. This way! We have to hurry" She barely noticed she was shaking like a leaf herself.

Selene: Selene stared at Kitty for a couple of seconds, before she reached out to take her hand and let the other girl lead her away from the wrecked scene.

Rogue: Rogue cringed as the kids squealed and clung tighter at what Miranda said. "Ok, sug. Calm down. We'll get out."

Miranda: Oops. Miranda reached over to pat one of the kids and caught sight of her arm. Blood. "Oh God..." She backed up a few steps, inspecting herself. "No, no... NO!" She turned and staggered for the outer doors, rebounding off the walls and other panicked staff and patients.

Rogue: "Wait!" Crap. Rogue tried to follow after Miranda as quick as she could but it was a lot harded with cargo than it used to be.

Selene: By the time Kitty had dragged her out through the main hall, navigating amidst a chaotic crowd of scared and confused patients and staff, Selene believed to have more or less regained some control over herself. Still, she was moving and acting as if under a haze.

Rogue: A nurse stopped Rogue as he spotted the debris sticking out of her back but she shrugged him off, needing to get to Miranda and try to help her calm down.

Miranda: She nearly fell out the door and tripped over the curb, rubbing frantically at her arms. Not all hers, but if it was that woman's.... oh God...

Adriana: As she found everybody leaving finally, Adriana withdrew more and more of the "pillars", backing out slowly too. Until she saw a black paw sticking out from under a bit of debris. She kneeled down and put it aside, reveling a quite banged up, but still intact Frederick.

Selene: The scene appeared almost surreal to her, the impressions of foreign minds blurring with her own senses. Eventually, Kitty's words had been processed by her shaken consciousness. "What happened," she asked, looking around for her friends. "Why is the ceiling coming down?"

Adriana: Thank God for little things., she thought and then continued her way out of the building

Guy: When the first mutants came out of the building, dusty and bleeding, Guy and his group started to chant again.

Guy: "God is great! God is great!"

Rogue: Rogue stumbled out the doors and blinked. Right, not the best place for kids. She turned and went back inside, handing them over to a nurse. Rogue knealt and gave them each a hug, telling them she'd come back soon to visit. She stood and brushed off the front of her dress, still ignoring her back as she went outside again. "Miranda?" Ignore the jerks. Right.

Selene: While she still looked around for a sign of the others, Selene was dragged out of the hospital by Kitty. She let go of the other girl's hand and turned around, staring back at the damaged hospital and the people running out of its doors.

Miranda: "God?! I don't think God did this, you assholes!" Miranda screamed through her tears.

Rogue: "Miri! Hey," she rushed over to try and calm her, rubbing her shoulder a bit. "Sugah, c'mon."

Selene: The chant of the mutant hating bigots reached her ears, slowly drawing her attention away from the smoking building and the scared and injured mutants. Her breathing quickened as she slowly turned around to face the group, the predominant feelings of confusion and fear slowly being replaced by rage. She clenched a fist, her nails drawing blood.

Miranda: She struggled free of Rogue and rushed them, aiming for the guy in front and shoving him with all her strength, finally having to catch onto his shirt to keep from falling. "You son of a bitch! Those are people! You tell Graydon he's the monster!"

Guy: "She's attacking me! The mutant has gone mad and she's attacking an innocent person!"

Rogue: Rogue winced a little as Miranda attacked them. Well, shit. She mentally prepared herself for more of a fight, but tried to not move into any position to let them know it. "Ya ain't innocent!" Asshole.

Guy: Instead of helping him, Guy's friends were quite eager to film the scene and take pictures on their cellphones.

Miranda: "Attacking you?" She cried, still clinging onto him and babbling. "Look at me! Look at her! She's dead!"

Adriana: Adriana stepped out of the building and saw the tussle. So she walked over to the small group with Miranda having a go at the guy. She put a hand on her shoulder: "It's okay, Miri, we should leave them alone...and they us." With those last words she gave the group a calm, but very cold look, and it took a lot for at least a few of them to not actually step back.

Adriana: Then she led her friend away.

Miranda: Miranda let go of the guy, taking a moment to look at him, memorizing his face, before she straightened up and let Adriana take her. "She'll never get those Manolos now..."

Rogue: Rogue pulled the keys from the pocket of her uniform and frowned at the group, "Y'all should be ashamed o' yaselves! Not only f'r harmin' innocent people, but ya say ya love 'regular humans'? There were 'regular human kids' up there damnit." She narrowed her eyes for a moment then shook her head and turned to head to the van.

Selene: Selene tried her best to restrain herself, but at this point, she wasn't sure if she even wanted to hold herself back anymore. Somehow, she resisted the urge to twist and break some limbs, instead stepping past the group to follow her friends. She gave each of the bigots a cold stare. "Now I know your faces..." she said and turned away.
"The secondary penis slides into view. And they all lived happily ever after."
